Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 ...Found Dead Hanging, From A Second Story Window... Clever arrangement. Pig Destroyer and Arch Enemy are probably the two best bands there, it looks like.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Ditto Machine Head..they're going to get eaten alive. Robb Flynn is such a sissy motherfucker.
Red Baron Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I wonder if Corey is attending this event.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I need to check out Milwaukee Metalfest this year. It's always got a plethora of brutal death and grind.
Corey_Lazarus Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I probably won't be attending, as I have NO money for concerts like I did last year. I'll probably just be hitting OzzFest and Metallica this year, or at least until Shadows Fall comes back around.
Guest Choken One Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Metallica? U really want to suffer through Godsmack?
Corey_Lazarus Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I'll just do the same thing to Godsmack that I did to Mudvayne, Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit last year: turn my back to them and raise my middle finger while harassing the band and their fans between songs.
Guest Doyo Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Godsmack are better live than you might think. A lot of energy and they do drum jam sessions with tribal drums and with both Sully and the drummer on their own full drum sets.
Guest Mosaicv2 Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I wish you can attend Corey so I can drive by & chant "COREY" since im from glory old Worcester
Nevermortal Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I'll just do the same thing to Godsmack that I did to Mudvayne, Deftones, Linkin Park, and Limp Bizkit last year: turn my back to them and raise my middle finger while harassing the band and their fans between songs. That's very Early '80's thrash fan of you.
snuffbox Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 I probably won't be attending, as I have NO money for concerts like I did last year. I'll probably just be hitting OzzFest and Metallica this year, or at least until Shadows Fall comes back around. Im going to guess that the hardcore fest is about half the price of a 'Tallica ticket.
Corey_Lazarus Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Probably 1/4. I know Summer Sanitarium cost me $75 or so last year, so I'm probably looking at around $50-$60. Although maybe I will attend NE Metalfest, since Metallica isn't coming to Mass (closest they get to here is Connecticut, and I ain't driving through Greenwich without convincing my friends to destroy some mailboxes and stop by Titan Towers). Now I just need the moolah.
snuffbox Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Metallica w/ godsmack tix for Madison, WI were all 75$. I love to see that Lars n' Friends care enough about their fans to charge that much and more for THAT lineup.
Guest Choken One Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 They could have at least thrown a third shitty band up there...but since P.O.D and Linkin Park are touring together...They ran dry... They still could have invited -Puddle Of Mudd -Fuel -Seether -Trapt
snuffbox Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 3 Days Grace Nickelback Shinedown Crazytown Good Charlotte these would all fit nicely on a Metallica bill these days.
converge241 Posted March 1, 2004 Author Report Posted March 1, 2004 welcome to the Chris Farley show with Salvatore "sully" Erna of Godsmack Chris Farley: remember when you said you wouldnt do the summer sanitarium tour with metallica cause you said that they were charging too much and kids couldnt afford 75$ tickets? Sully: yeah CF: and remember when you then agreed to do their next american tour where they again charged 75$ for 3 fewer bands and smaller arenas? Sully: yeah CF: that was awesome
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Sully Erna is such a pud. Talk about a poor man's Layne Staley. Not only do they use an AIC song as their band name, but he even rips off Layne's "Fall off the wagon" gimmick. The guy USED to be straightedge, after being a struggling fuckup, and then became a struggling fuckup with a record deal after releasing their "Whatever" single (apropos). "I'm doin' the best I ever did, I'm doin' the best I can..now go away." That whole crappy album which I had played into dust by my shitty friends and the shitty radio is laced with references to falling off the wagon, only it comes across as a paper-thin attempt at AiC's depressed junkie brilliance. ("I'm not the one who's so far away, when I feel the snake bite into my vein.") The MUSIC (Chug chug chug chug) doesn't even go along with the mood Erna tries to set, unless they decide to get all fey wiccan on us and talk about some Morrison imagery involving Snakes, Awaking, Spirits, Rising, and going away. Always going away. I hate that fucking band. They're the worst band on earth and an embarassment to Boston. Edit: And I don't even live there.
converge241 Posted March 1, 2004 Author Report Posted March 1, 2004 sully had a cell phone with a company i used to work for here in Mass. while he was still playing drums in Seka (later Strip Mind) he tried to argue and say it was illegal to make him pay his bill every month cause the nature of his job involved him being on the road and not being home very month to pay it and if we suspended his service for not paying we would be violating his rights blah blah blah
