Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted February 29, 2004 Why are people so hyper-sensitive about their pets? It reminds me of Best on Show. They aren't human, so don't dress them up like they are. Don't talk to them in a cutesy-wootsy voice. When you do that - and they die - you turn into mush. Its only an animal, I think you can buy another one to primp up like a toy doll. Who's with me?
The Kid 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2004 It's not only an animal...shit, animals have personalities and you grow to love them. I agree you shouldnt dress you dog up and talk like a total jackass to it but if it's just a pet, you're gonna get attached no matter what.

Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2004 A vastly underrated Pink Floyd album I wouldn't say it's underrated, most people think it's friggin' great.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted February 29, 2004 Animals IS friggin great. Dogs, Pigs, and Sheep are all amazing, in that order of amazeatude. Obscured by Clouds (1972), Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), and The Wall (1979). That is like the best five consecutive albums in history, I think. All so so so very great.

But when Roger left after The Final Cut, why didn't Dave Gilmour bring Rick back in? Did both guys dislike him?

But when Roger left after The Final Cut, why didn't Dave Gilmour bring Rick back in? Did both guys dislike him? Rick was on both the last two studio albums (Momentary and Division), but on Momentary Lapse he was listed under the Aditional Musicians heading. Dave wanted him back in, but he didn't rejoin on a full time basis until after Momentary. It migt have been legal, it might have been because he thought it would be wierd bring in a "new" member he same time as they dropped one, it might just because Rick didn't want to commit. I wholeheartedly agree. They're animals, they're nothing to me. If a dog or cat starts reciting Shakespeare and giving scientific theories, then I'll respect the canine and feline species. Until then, they can all die and get the fuck out of the way. What?!!?

Not necessarily, I have quite a few friends who's family's have pets and they despise them and often wonder just why in the hell they have the goddamned things. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted February 29, 2004 My dog is a huge pain in the ass. It lies around all day, barks at everything, and keeps forgetting it's housebroken. I love it to death. Dressing a dog up is stupid as is using a ghey voice, but there's nothing wrong with loving a pet. Pets are alot nicer than the majority of people in this fucked up world. and Paragon is there any way you could shrink your sig pic just a touch?
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted March 1, 2004 Pussies. Only insecure hermits have this creepy attraction to their pets. Go out and interact with real humans, you'll feel liberated.

You could make a case for Meddle going by Echoes and One of These Days, but I don't think it holds up to the other five. So Meddle could possibly make it a streak of six, though The FinaL Cut almost certainly does not allow for seven, and Momentary Lapse kills eight dead. And yes, Obscured By Clouds is an amazing album, to all the naysayers who seem to hate ObC and More, and I've met my share.
