Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Creature Corner has confirmed that Billy Boyd, who played Pippin in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and also starred in "Master and Commander," will reteam with his "The Two Towers" star Brad Dourif in voicing Seed of Chucky for Focus Features. Dourif returns as the voice of Chucky and Jennifer Tilly will lend her voice again for Tiffany. In the new film, Chucky and his bride have a new addition to the family, and Boyd will voice this "child". John Waters is expected to have a small role as well. Child's Play series creator Don Mancini is writing and directing "Seed" which will shoot in Romania for an October release date. Credit: Creature Corner / ComingSoon.net Wait... Why are they still trying to make this crap ?
Guest El Satanico Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 No, no not crap. It's called campy...there is a difference Bride of Chucky was a fun movie and we can expect more of the same from Seed of Chucky.
razazteca Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 What will the "seed" be, a Cabbage Patch Kid?
Guest wrestlingbs Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 His "seed" had a cameo at the end of the last movie. God, that movie sucked. Check that, the whole series sucked. Boyd, what are you thinking?
MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 the only question I have is will there be a WWE tie in?
razazteca Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 The soundtrack to Bride of Chucky was full of metal goodness.
NoCalMike Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Bride of Chucky was campy-goodness because it didn't take itself seriously really. Hopefully Seed will produce the same formula.
Nighthawk Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I throw my hat into the "didn't suck" ring. When that dude got hit by the truck, one of the best car deaths I can remember.
Nighthawk Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Fuck? Man, you haterizers just don't get it. Say that when you know shit about the genre, which is not an insult, because most people consider themselves dignified when they don't know shit about the genre.
Guest JMA Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Ugh. I don't care if it is "camp," I'm still not liking the idea. Speaking of camp... *remembers The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation* I liked the original Child's Play, but this sequel just sounds like a train-wreck to me. Although, you can't take your eyes off of one...
Lil' Bitch Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Fuck? Man, you haterizers just don't get it. Say that when you know shit about the genre, which is not an insult, because most people consider themselves dignified when they don't know shit about the genre. Np, because Child's Play went to shit after Part 2, IMO.
Youth N Asia Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Camp or not...3 and 4 were total balls. 1 was good, and 2 was at least watchable
Zack Malibu Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Count me in with Satanico and IDRM. I love the series, and appreciate it as not taking itself seriously. Part one was the most serious, straightforward horror, and part 2 was for the most part, but 3 and Bride were good, campy fun. One of the best scenes in the whole series was in part 3, when the Colonel or whatever he was had a heart attack before Chucky could kill him, and Chucky goes "You've gotta be fuckin' kiddin' me!"
the pinjockey Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I throw my hat into the "didn't suck" ring. When that dude got hit by the truck, one of the best car deaths I can remember. Fuck yeah, it looked like he was a water balloon filled with blood and he popped. I must have watched that death about 50 times in slo mo.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Speaking of camp... *remembers The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation* No that was just bad, but oddly I didn't totally hate it.
Styles Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 His promo on Rick Steiner ruled. That is all.
NoCalMike Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 See I despised part 3 because it tried to take itself seriously. Of course there are select scenes that were good. 1 was the best, 2 was a continuaiton of 1 and was decent. 3 was bad, Bride was fun, and hopefully Seed can have the same type of fun as Bride did.

I love the Chucky movies. The reason I watch is to see what Chucky will do or say next.
Corey_Lazarus Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Count me in with Zack, IDRM, and Satanico. I loved Bride Of Chucky for all of its campy awesomeness. Considering I can't stand the other films in the series, I'd say that's a good thing. Honestly, what's not to love about Bride? It has possibly the best soundtrack to a horror movie in a long time (any soundtrack featuring Type O Negative, White Zombie, Motörhead, Bruce Dickinson, and Judas Priest gets the thumbs up from me), maybe of all-time (considering loads of 80's horror movies used glam rock BULLSHIT), and it was pretty much one 90-minute joke to anybody that has ever seen the three prior ones. It was Freddy Vs. Jason before that could become a reality (and dare I say it may just be better).
Brocklock Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Count me in with Corey, IDRM, Zack, and Santico. Awesome movie all around, with great cheesy 80's style goodness, great kills, hilarious dialogue, and one of the best horror movie soundtracks ever. Probably in my top twenty horror movies of the 90's and maybe 50 or 100 of all time. The Chucky series is really good, I love the first one, but I like this one slightly better, 2 is really good, and 3 does suck alot.
