Authorities said the plot was foiled Friday after a student at Palm Middle School in suburban Lemon Grove heard the teens boasting about their plans and told his parents. ``It was within a half-hour of happening,'' said sheriff's Lt. Dennis Ferons. The boys were arrested at school and a .25-caliber semiautomatic pistol belonging to the father of one of them was found hidden in bushes on campus, police said. The youths were booked for investigation of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon on school grounds. ``They look just like typical kids,'' Ferons said of the two. Sheriff's officials said the pair hatched the plot after the teacher had flunked one of them. The woman, whose name was not released, is known for staying after school to help her students, and the 14-year-olds allegedly planned to kill her then. One of them was to don a ski mask, walk into her classroom and shoot her, Ferons said. Authorities found a ski mask in one student's backpack.

You must not be aware that school shooters who killed and wounded multiple people got less time than Tate, which in my opinion is bullshit, so that's why I've always said the kid got a raw deal when there were premeditated murderers looking at less time than him when what he did was not premeditated or intentional. I dont think he said hey, "I'm gonna give her some WWF moves and kill little Susie" when he woke up that day.

Like I said before, if those kids don't do life in jail, then why should Tate. If Stalin got off scot free, then why should we have stopped Hitler? You fit the punishment to the crime, not based on what other people got. The school shooters should have gotten at least life in prison and so should Tate. Now we will have 2 murderers on the streets instead of 1. If you don't start doing something about it, nothing will change.

I dont care how old you are, when someone is reacting like that, and you dont stop... then you are not some careless kid playing around... you're a monster

I loved it when it first came out... saw it in the theater and have sense about 3 times on dvd... it's a great effort, but what ruins the movie for me is DiCaprio... he's not horrible, but he's obviously not in Lewis's league
