Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

Recommended Posts

Chaos were you watching the same match everyone else was watching? Goldberg ran down, speared Brock, Eddie went for the pin, Brock kicked out. Brock rolls out to go grab the title, and goes for a F5 on Eddie for Eddie to land on the title, but Eddie reverses into a swinging DDT onto the title. Then goes for a frog splash and gets the 1, 2, 3...so umm what match were you watching or making up in your head?

You know its not like ANYONE ELSE didn't do this? Lets forget how HBK as Jim Cornette put it "cried and grabbed his tights to go home unless he got his way". Or lets forget how Austin did the excat same thing. What Brock is doing isn't unheard of basically and to be honest yeah it sucks because WWE doesn't really know where to go but on Brock's behave I do see where he's coming from. Since he's came into the WWE he's been pushed as a monster who takes on everyone. Recently...well he's been booked as a coward and dodging or ducking people every which way he can unless their's some sort of stip giving that person a title match. So lets say Brock isn't leaving and pins Goldberg or Goldberg pins him...you know whose gonna end up looking surpioer in that match...Steve Austin. Then he's suppose to be squashed by The Undertaker? I can see excatly why he is unhappy. I'd be pist too if I was being fed left and right to people after being pushed as the next huge superstar and been told "oh were gonna build the company around you brock." Yeah what he is doing isn't good for the company, but he also sorta needs to do whats good for him at the same time. WWE just got to the point where it wasn't for him, but at least he didn't just take a walk like most people wanted to or did.

*looks at the anti-Brock posts*

Fuck ANYONE who decides to retire!

FUCK BARRY SANDERS!

FUCK THAT RUNNING BACK FROM MINNESOTA A FEW YEARS AGO!

You will work until we are done with you!!!

I'm not saying he shouldn't retire. I'm just saying that barring injury, he should give adequate warning. What he did was better than just walking out the door like Austin did, but I still don't think he gave them enough notice. And I like I said earlier, at least he is wrestling the match. If he just refused to participate like Shawn Michaels at XIII, then I would be a lot harder on him. Right now I'm more concerned with what WWE will do once he's gone.

Personally, I'm getting a good laugh out of this.

WWE's crappy treatment of its workers comes back to bite them in the ass, AGAIN.

I can't wait to see the abysmal buyrate for "the biggest Wrestlemania ever".

It won't affect Wrestlemania. Brock will still be there. It is afterwards that I am worried about.

Whoa. Just wow. I'm really in shock about this.

I say he'll come back, eventually. I'm just surprised that he didn't go on a break first, just to see if not wrestling is really what he wants to do.

I've got mixed feelings about this. I think it is a pretty bad act of disloyality, with deserting the company that is trying to make him the centerpiece of it. But, on the other hand, maybe it's for the best. If you got a top guy in the lockerroom who makes it clear he doesn't want to be there, moral can't really be too great.

Nevertheless, if he decides to come back, I'm sure Vince will welcome him back with open arms...and the WWE title.

He didn't want to lose the title back to Bret Hart...which had been the planned Main Event for a year.

So he lost his smile...the title was held up for that Final 4 match which Bret won, Sid won the next night and went on to lose to Taker in the Main Event.

As an aside...this would be the SECOND time that a Kliq incident accidentaly helped Steve Austin become the biggest star in the business and the driving force for the company upturn.

The "Curtain Call" incident at MSG took HHH out of winning the KOTR in 96...Austin would win and utter his famous "Austin 3:16" for the first time.

Then...HBK lost his smile...and Austin ended up wrestling Bret at Mania, pulling the double turn...and the rest is history.

To anyone damning Lesnar for "getting the biggest push ever and then running"..

Yes, they did put a lot of work into him initially..but look what's happened since? Lesnar was the fucking champion on SD, and running away from Bob Holly. Could you imagine Trips looking like that against someone who's never really been anything?

When you don't wind up looking out for yourself, you get to be like Chris Jericho. Hell, even Rock..who used to job repeatedly..won't do it now because of the political situation.

Lesnar IS the future of wrestling, and he knows it. That's exactly why he shouldn't be placed against a relic like Taker in the first place. He's the -future- of wrestling, not a guy who should be jobbing to some bad remnant of the past.

(Taker's never truly been a main eventer, in my eyes. It's his gimmick that's gotten him over, time after time. Not really the guy in it.)

Fuck this "fuck Brock" sentiment.

Heh...What a idiotic statement right there.

WCW

ECW

TNA

AWA

All were dumber. Lost more money and died...

WWE isn't CLOSE to dying.

It has lost workers before...nothing new.

Yeah, I can understand him being pissed off. If he went to Vince, and he refused to job to Taker, and Vince told him "no fuck you, do it, or you're fired" then I'd be all for him walking. That would be Vince's fault for being a dumbass. But leaving without hardly any notice because he's sick of wrestling? Uh no. He means too much to WWE to pull something like that. And just because others did the same thing doesn't make what he's doing right.

There are three people on the active roster who would be good in a promo battle situation with Steiner.

Rock, Jericho, Christian.

The three men who would pull out a "No one knows what the hell you just said."

Or Austin.

"Excuse me for sayin' this *sticktches an ear* but I don't think anyone in this entire building knew a goddamn thing of what you were trying to say."

I was just talking with razazteca and he recently reminded me of something.

Remember that minor note about how there's supposed to be an ECW brand coming soon? What if this is a huge ass ploy to have Brock later come back to this new ECW brand? After all, they can sell him as "Heyman's creation" and thus must be apart of this ECW brand and of course run the storyline, that because Heyman now owns this new ECW, that he can never possibly put up with the crap in the WWE brands (or something where he bad mouths the other two brands outright).

Is "guy Taker fucks over" such a specific role that only Brock can fill it?

The ECW brand idea would be stupid. As the people they are trying to work, us, would immediatly know it was a work when he showed up in ECW. Its not like we will actually think ECW is a different company.

*shrugs* I know everyone would think know it is a work. I'm just saying that with the rumors of ECW trying to get off the ground once again, it IS possible that maybe they are trying ot set it up as Lesnar leaving for this "rogue" brand.

It's stupid, but hey, if the WWE really wants that ECW brand idea to get off the ground, this would be the something they'd feel is neccessary to get it flying.

I really hope Austin comes out on the Raw after WMXX, riding around on his ATV and burying Brock for "taking his ball and going home."

Then he flips the ATV and gets squashed.
