GITM was a huge Animal-Rights film staring Sigourney Weaver as a famed animal activist (not a PETA person, an actual activist against fur-traders, ect. Guest thebigjig Report post Posted March 9, 2004 I heard on the radio today that he had a history of depression and anxiety in his life and family... his mother committed suicide when he was young, and in 2001 he was in a head on car accident that supposedly furthered his depression If you've ever had a SERIOUS bout with depression (not just normal, everyone gets depressed now and then kind of depression) then you know exactly what it's like to be tempted with ending it all, especially if you have a SERIOUS case with it... I'm not making excuses for what he did... but to piss on him, even if he made a horrible mistake, is heartless and wrong... No one really has a problem with someone dying to sacrifice themselves for another. Soldiers do it, police officers do it, sometimes just good samaritans will do it, sacrifice themsleves for the lives of their fellow men. Ever read John 15:13? “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Suicide just because you’re depressed, want to end it all, etc., is selfish and utterly without dignity. This was basically assited suicide....only they used a really FUCKED UP suicide machine. If a person chooses not to live anymore, that should be thier right.
