Wrestlers upset about Taker return....

Wrestlers Upset Over 'Taker's Pending Return

Posted By Ashish on 03.10.04

Nobody wants the Dead Man back...

Most of the Smackdown wrestlers are already upset and paranoid over the pending return of the Undertaker. The general feeling is that he will squash Kane at WrestleMania XX, then go on to squash all of Smackdown's major heels before turning heel and squashing all of the major faces. Brock Lesnar was set to work against the Undertaker following WrestleMania but he seems to be against it and will likely take time off. Wrestlers are very upset that WWE management has been pushing them to slow down and sell holds but now the Undertaker will return and not sell for anyone.

THIS JUST IN................

The Undertaker is untouchable in Vince's world.

They have a right to be afraid.

It never made sense to me how post-Bearer, pre-Badass Undertaker could do the sit up no-sell after he stopped having the urn around.

It sure seemed important to him whenever a heel stole it.

I wouldn't really mind if Taker squashed everyone and turned heel.

...As long as Eddie pins him.

I really wouldn't mind if someone squashed Undertaker with their heel.

Cole: "The old school Undertaker going old........wait, I mean the Undertaker going..."

Tazz: "Shut up."

If the Undertaker does the dragon sleeper now, is that consider going "new school"?

TH ething of it is that I can't remember Old School Undertaker actually sqaushing anyone that really mattered in the long term. Sure he did in like Giant Gonzales and Kimala... but who really cared about them in the first place? Everytime he was up against someone major like Shawn or even Yokozuna, Taker ended up doing the job in the end even if it required shenanigans.

Vintage oldschool Undertaker only squashed mid and low carders

people like a Hogan, Warrior, and the like got off their offenses, but Taker still got over.. Then again people like Hogan and warrior got their rematches and beat him..

It probably comes down to whats a winning formula for Vince. people complain about Taker's character will be unsellable but then again if the Fans like it and pop more and buy the tickets and PPVs events because of it (Depending if he single handedly effects such things which is doubtful)

And if he squashes anyone...

it would be the matt Morgans, the A-Trains, Big Shows, Sean O`Haires etc

Exactly, he always sold well during his matches against Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels.

Now I know why Brock left.

Brock: Hey Vince, you wanted to see me?

Vince: Hey Brock, we heard you were a little unhappy so we'll put you in a feud with the Deadman.

Brock: Cool. So he's going to sell my offence?

Vince: Erm... not exactly.

Brock: *frowns* Then how's it going to help me?

vince: Here's how it goes. Taker will squash you for the next 6 PPVs, so that people will think you're the new Kamala - someone who doesn't really matter in the long term.

Brock: Right...

Vince: And then, since you're really someone MAJOR, Taker will end up doing the job in the end at Armageddon, with much shenanigans.

Brock: Right...

Vince: It's a SWERVE, get it? Everyone will expect Taker to beat you the SEVENTH time! After all, Shawn's going over HHH at Mania, and that's after convincingly losing to my son-in-law three times already!

Brock: I'll think about it, Vince.

(Brock exits. In comes Taker.)

Taker: Vince, I heard I'll be jobbing to Brock at the end of the year. We've got to change that. Make it a DQ decision.

Vince: Done!

Or maybe when he walks the ropes Cole will shout "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THIS MOVE IS CURRENT UNDERTAKER."

And after 10 years +, opponents still stupidly stare in awe and take the move.

Okay, I hate to go into the "who really draws argument", but was The Undertaker really much of a draw?

Better than Shawn Michaels, Diesel or Sid, but I would have to say no.

This is good stuff.

What better way to get out of selling that to portray a character who is impervious to pain.

Kane's character is similarly indestructible except he cannot beat Shane McMahon.

Screw them.

Old school Undertaker > anybody on SD not named Angle or Guerrero (not including Chavo)

God you still suck.

I've seen people reverse the move or knock Taker off the top rope before.

I am still trying to figure out why it hurts the arm more when he walks the ropes instead of mounting the turnbuckle.

Wouldn't the turnbuckle be safer?

He does it to impress people.

edit: Walking on the rope, that is.

If he wanted to be impressive, he could put over Kane.
