Guest thebigjig Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I've heard this rumor before too, but I doubt it will happen... but if it did... I have no doubt they would win, simply because Ind. voters love McCain, and ind. voters are going to be KEY voters in this election
snuffbox Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 well, at least there would be one good guy on the ticket....
C Dubya 04 Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I'd file this under "will never happen", but it would be entertaining if it did. And advantageous for Kerry to balance out his left side with a bit of the right.
Jobber of the Week Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 If partisan politics gets in the way of this THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY. Watching Cheney trying to fight McCain in a debate will be so very, very enjoyable.
Guest thebigjig Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 If partisan politics gets in the way of this THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY. Watching Cheney trying to go after McCain in a debate will be so very, very enjoyable. the McCain/Bush debates were funny... especially during that one debate where someone asked Bush what book he was reading, and he said something about a former treasury secretary I think, but when pressed further, he couldnt really provide any answers about the book and came off like he maybe read the summary on the back... and when it came time for McCain to speak, he spoke for a minute or so about the subject, and about the guys contributions making Bush look like the phony tool that he is
Jobber of the Week Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 but when pressed further, he couldnt really provide any answers about the book and came off like he maybe read the summary on the back... That's good, but not nearly as being asked a question about responding to a national emergency and then rambling on about taking on "Big Hollywood and Big Trial Lawyers" before stopping, looking stupid, and then asking what the question was. I'm looking through commentary from some venemous Republicans. One says he's lost respect for the Vietnam torture McCain endured because he said this. Talk about partisan blinders.

Hannity will be all over this and another funny Bush classic "we have an old saying in texas... at least I think it was from texas: those that did *pause* shame on *pause* shame on you"

Jobber of the Week Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 Someone at another, conservative-only board. And, I once respected McCain for his POW suffering. Now FUGGITABOUTIT...

kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 This will never happen. And McCain is a conservative for the most part, no matter how much Big Media slurps his knob...
Guest thebigjig Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 This will never happen. And McCain is a conservative for the most part, no matter how much Big Media slurps his knob... of course he's a conservative... I think someone here made a great point when they said that he votes republican 80% or so of the time... but the difference is that he's not afraid to stand up to something he doesnt agree with, even if it has to do with the top person in his own party... he tends to vote his conscience on alot of the issues, and whether I agree with him or not, you gotta respect that.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 but the difference is that he's not afraid to stand up to something he doesnt agree with, even if it has to do with the top person in his own party... Oh, yeah, he'll get over HUGE when this pro-life/budget-war hawk takes the stage at the Democrat convention. There's a better chance of Rudy G. being Bush's veep than McCain going with Kerry...
Hogan Made Wrestling Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Kerry/McCain works tremendously as a "Beat Bush" ticket, but horribly in just about every other possible way.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 It would be funny considering the Left's buddies at Moveon.org are, according to McCain, making a joke out of his campaign-finance reforms -- McCain threw a fit over this issue yesterday...
