I might be missing someone but it is a commercal right now and I am sort of intoxicated..... :headbang:

Yeah, I liked the part about WWE wrestlers hosting the show, but when they mentioned that they would be choosing the videos, I lost all hope.

EmmTV brought back Headbanger's Ball??

Is it anywhere near as good as the original, or is it mostly Nu-Metal shit?

Well, we all now that network is the worst out there...

It's been on MTV2 for about a year. It's really like the original Headbanger's Ball where it balances out the good stuff like Shadows Fall and the shitty stuff like Staind. So basically half real metal and half nu metal just like the first was half heavy and half hair metal.

Awesome, I think Australia gets the same Headbangers Ball, as they often reference MTV2 which doesn't exist here. Anyway, I wonder how much of a delay we get HB on, as I'd give this a look if it was on.

And my guess says Bubba chose Hatebreed, thus earning some more respect from me.

They picked some fun videos. "Hot for Teacher" is a damn classic. "The Unforgiven" is also some classic ass kickin.

It's kinda odd that Matt was there. I mean, he's not on Wrestlemania and he wasn't part of the Originals CD.

Jericho looked like a kid in a candy store, he was just having a great old time.

And "Thunder Kiss 65" rules all.

Screw you guys.

"Hot For Teacher" - - Van Halen > pop punk, nu-metal, garage rock, emo, rap, pop and just about everything else out there today.

For those who saw it, can we get a mini-recap? Who picked what? Who seemed out of place in the metal world? Anything funny said or done?

You know, actual insight into the show for those of us who can't channel American TV from the other side of the globe.

Van Halen (w/Roth) is 5-Star music. All classic, all still setting a standard that most music today falls horribly shy of.

I would not say that it belongs on Headbangers Ball. Though the band has its roots in the LA rock/metal scene, the song is not grunged out with bass and powerchords enough to fall into the regular metal category.

This brings me too.. Metal has suffered many blows and is on the verge of dying. Only a few bands keep the same rythyms and site ideas that Sabbath laid down for their style of music, fact of the matter is its just not as popular as it once was. When people release a 'metal' album these days (with no industrial influence) it comes off as rather childish and weak after the amount of popular influence that Rap, Punk, Emo, R&B and Techno.

Long story short, "metal" is an anachronism.

The host Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed introduces the show, says to stay tuned later for Wrestlemania all-stars Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, Lita, Bubba Ray Dudley and Stacy Keibler.

Jamey plugs the new Soil CD.

1. Soil - Redefine

2. Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn

Jamey promotes MTV2.com Bang of the Week and says this week is Drowning Pool, after the break we'll meet the Wrestlemania All Stars.

Back from commercial and everyone is in the studio and plugs Wrestlemania XX.  Jamey asks "Obviously music is a big part of wrestling, but what gets you pumped to go into the ring", and Jericho replies "The heaviest music fits wrestling perfectly, both energetic styles of music , kinda violent and gets you excited and gets your blood pumped like old fashioned Metallica, "Master of Puppets".  Chris then looks over to Bubba Ray who says he was a fan of some bands, the only one I remember or recognize was Pretty Boy Floyd.  Jamey asks if they pick their own music, and Bubba replies, "yeah me and my brother picked our own music, it was "Powerbomb" (?) by Powerman 5000."

Lita says something about her music, but she mumbled the whole thing.  Matt sits back and nods.

Bubba says Stacy was a big fan of AC/DC and had a crush on Angus.  Stacy talks about AC/DC a little bit and says they're easy to dance to (?), she then says how much she loves this song and it's her pick.

Stacy's Pick:

3. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

4. Probot - Shake Your Blood (featuring Lemmy)

Jamey asks about Metal stars in wrestling, and they mention Ozzy at Wrestlemania II in the British Bulldog's corner, and Alice Cooper and Motorhead as others involved at some point. Chris points out that Tim Owens of Judas Priest (now in Iced Earth) is a big fan of wrestling.  This lead to Bubba's pick of Ozzy and says to watch out for a young Zakk Wylde, "the greatest guitarist ever".

Bubba Ray's Pick:

5. Ozzy - No More Tears

Lita's Pick:

6. Otep - Blood Pig

After the Otep video Lita says that was her pick, and says that any woman that can sing like that deserves to be on HBB, and says she saw them at Ozzfest.  Bubba says "Blood Pigs" would make a great tag team name.

Jericho takes us to commercial.

Back from commercial and they show a clip of BuhBuh Ray putting one of the Frenchmen through a table.

Jamey welcomes us back and plugs Wrestlemania XX.  Jamey says he has a few people he'd like for Bubba to put through a table.  They run down their matches, talks about the Playboy match, and Chris says everyone is a winner in that one.  Bubba says he's going for the Tag titles for the 597th time.  Matt and Lita are sitting back silently.  Chris mentions his Christian match real fast and says "lets go back to the videos."  He mentions the Darkness is his pick, "they're like AC/DC meets Queen and Thin Lizzy, at first you're like "What the F***?" and then it sinks in."

Bubba says it's one of the few bands he and Jericho disagree about.

Chris Jerchio's Pick:

7. The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love

Matt Hardy takes us to commercial.

We're back with a clip of Matt Hardy vs. Booker T. Matt is finally showing some signs of life in the show and says "I got him!", talking about the match with Booker.  Jamey asks about "Mattitude" and Matt roles down all of that and talks about his followers, the MF'ers.  Then Matt lays down an exclusive "Matt Fact", "Matt wants to roll Metallica - The Unforgiven right now.".

Matt Hardy's Pick:

8. Metallica - The Unforgiven

9. Korn - Y'all Want a Single

Stacy's Pick:

10. Van Halen - Hot for Teacher

After the video they reveal that was another Stacy pick, and they all talk about the greatness of that video.  Jericho said he liked to pause on the dancing teacher scene, and Bubba jokingly said he played Waldo in the video.

Stacy takes us to commercial.

We're back and they show a clip of Stacy beating up Miss Jackie in an intergender match.  Chris said she looked like a fish out of water.

Jamey mentions that they're trying to convince them to throw him through a wall, but he didn't feel up to it.

Bubba said they wanted to be like Guns N' Roses and wants to tear apart the studio.

They plug their WWE Original CD and talks about each of their tracks.  Jamey mentions Fozzy, Lita said her song was like an After School Special song, Bubba mentions it was the most radio friendly.  They each hype their songs as the best on the CD and says it sold pretty well.

Jamey asks Bubba why he picked White Zombie, and he said he was always a huge White Zombie fan and any chick with green hair that can swing her hair around like Jason Newsted turns him on.

Bubba Ray's Pick:

11. White Zombie - Thunder Kiss 65

commercial.

Back with a clip of Lita vs. Jazz

Jamey thought that was hot, and he likes Lita's big Irish head.

Jamey asks what they do before a match.  Chris said most people pray or stretch, but he does (some sort of) chanting and some finger stuff.  Bubba said he takes guys like Jamey and puts them between his legs and drops them on their head.

Jamey asks Lita what her pick was, and she said "The Dope Show, because we're all the Dope Show... no".. something like that.

Lita's Pick:

12. Marilyn Manson - Dope Show

Matt's Pick:

13. Tool - Sober

After the video they reveal "it was another great pick by Matt".  Chris said "Tool is genius".

Jamey takes us to commercial.

Back and they show a clip of Wrestlemania 19 of Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels.

Jamey welcomes us back and says everyone picked the play list for tonight.  Lita says "sorry".  Everyone points at Jericho and said this was the main event of the show.  Jericho hypes up Fozzy by saying mentioning their former band Stuck Mojo (who, btw was on WCW at a time, he didn't mention that though).  He mentioned playing in front of 40,000 screaming Slayer fans in Germany and how crazy that was.

Chris Jericho's Pick:

14. Fozzy - With the Fire (You Can't Take Me Down)

Jamey thanks the Wrestlemania Superstars.  They promote Wrestlemania XX again and tells everyone to order it on PPV.

Jamey takes us to commercial and promises Headbanger Headlines and Tour dates for Hatebreed on the Headbangers Ball tour.  Bubba chants "Hatebreed" while it fades to black.

Everyone is out of the studio.  Back with news on Slipknot and the Hatebreed tour with Drowning Pool.

Last video of the night.

15. Drowning Pool - Step Up

It was awesome show other than that Korn video.

But Lemmy's face could scare small children I'm sorry to say.

And Lita's song was the most radio friendly??? What radio station would PLAY that horrible song??

Either Jericho's or Cena's were the only ones I could even imagine being on the radio. Maybe Stacy's song on one of those techno/dance stations but that's it.

I can make this better.

The host Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed introduces the show, points out that he is the MTV2 version of Benji and Joel, and says to stay tuned later for Wrestlemania enhancement talent Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, Lita, Bubba Ray Dudley and Stacy Keibler.

Jamey plugs the new Soil CD, which you can't find in any stores because no one who showers regularly and speaks coherantly would buy it.

1. Soil - Incoherant Screaming Noises

2. Lamb of God - We're Really Mad At Our Dads

Jamey promotes MTV2.com Bang of the Week and says this week is Drowning Pool, after the break we'll meet the Wrestlemania All Stars.

Back from commercial and everyone is in the studio and plugs Wrestlemania XX.  Jamey asks "Obviously music is a big part of wrestling, but what gets you pumped to go into the ring", and Jericho replies "Whatever Hunter tells us will improve our workrate".  Chris then looks over to Bubba Ray who says he was a fan of some bands, the only one I remember or recognize was Pretty Boy Floyd.  Jamey asks if they pick their own music, and Bubba replies, "no, Hunter does that for us. Stephanie wanted us to come out to some Backstreet boys, but HHH figured they could license a Powerman 5000 song for dirt cheap."

Lita says something about her music, but she mumbled the whole thing. Then she did a line of coke and started making out with Matt.

Bubba says Stacy was a big fan of AC/DC and had a crush on Angus.  Stacy talks about AC/DC a little bit and says they're "easy to dance to when you're real fucked up on qualudes", she then says how much she loves this song and it's her pick.

Stacy's Pick:

3. AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long

4. Probot - What The Hell's That Thing on Lemmy's Face?(featuring Lemmy)

Jamey asks about Metal stars in wrestling, and they mention Liberace at Wrestlemania I, and Alice Cooper and Motorhead as others involved at some point. Chris points out that Tim Owens of Judas Priest (now in Iced Earth) is a big fan of wrestling.  This lead to Bubba's pick of Ozzy and says to watch out for a young Zakk Wylde, "the greatest guitarist ever (excluding Jimmy Paige, Joe Perry, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Slash, etc. Man, fuck you Bubba.)".

Bubba Ray's Pick:

5. Ozzy - No More Tears

Lita's Pick:

6. Otep - Blood Pig

After the Otep video Lita says that was her pick, and says that any woman that can sing like that deserves to be on HBB, and says she saw them at Ozzfest.  She then does a line of coke and starts making out with Matt. Matt has a tent in his goth~! pants and can't stand up.

Matt and Lita are making out.  Chris mentions his Christian match real fast and says "lets go back to the videos."  He mentions the Darkness is his pick, "they're like AC/DC meets Queen and Thin Lizzy, at first you're like "What the F***?" and then it sinks in."

Bubba says it's one of the few bands he and Jericho disagree about... but Bubba thinks the lead guitarist sucks.

Chris Jerchio's Pick:

7. The Darkness - I Believe in a Thing Called Love

Matt Hardy takes us to commercial while making out with Lita.

We're back with a clip of Matt Hardy vs. Booker T. Matt is finally showing some signs of life in the show and says "I got him!", talking about the match with Booker.  Jamey asks about "Mattitude" and Matt roles down all of that and talks about his followers, the MF'ers.  Then Matt lays down an exclusive "Matt Fact", "Matt wants a BJ from Lita now, but due to her neck problems the stress may cause a problem in her C-4 Vertebrae. So, we'll watch some Metallica instead".

Matt Hardy's Pick:

8. Metallica - The Unforgiven

9. Korn - Jonathan Davis is Still a Whiny Little Bitch

Stacy's Pick:

10. Van Halen - Hot for Teacher

After the video they reveal that was another Stacy pick, and they all glare at her angrily.  Stacy tries to defend her choice,  but everyone tells her to shut the fuck up and she runs off crying. Test runs in and threatens to kick everyone's ass, but Jericho proceeds to fuck shit up and break Test's face.

A teary-eyed Stacy takes us to commercial. Everyone tells her to shut the fuck up.

We're back and they show a clip of Stacy beating up Miss Jackie in an intergender match.  Chris said she looked like a talentless whore, and that she should stick to shaking her ass. Stacy tries to say something, but Jericho bitchslaps her. Everyone looks real awkward and doesn't know what to do, but then Vince Russo runs in and yells "YOU ALL THOUGHT IT WAS A SHOOT!!! AHAHAHA!"

Jamey mentions that they're trying to convince them to throw him through a wall, but he didn't feel up to it.

Bubba said they wanted to be like Guns N' Roses and suck.

They plug their WWE Original CD and talks about each of their tracks.  Jamey mentions Fozzy, Lita said her song was like an After School Special song, Bubba mentions it was the most radio friendly, seeing how most songs on the radio today suck balls anyhow.  They each hype their songs as the best on the CD and says it sold pretty well (In Germany).

Jamey asks Bubba why he picked White Zombie, and he said he was always a huge White Zombie fan and any chick with green hair that can swing her hair around like Jason Newsted reminds him of his mom.

Bubba Ray's Pick:

11. White Zombie - Thunder Kiss 65

commercial.

Back with a clip of Lita vs. Jazz

Jamey thought that was hot, and he likes Lita's big, stupid, annoying, motherfucking Irish head.

Jamey asks what they do before a match.  Chris said most people pray or stretch or get yelled at by Hunter, but he does (some sort of) chanting and some finger stuff.  Bradshaw said he takes guys like Jamey and puts them between his legs and molests them.

Jamey asks Lita what her pick was, and she said "The Dope Show, because we're all the Dope Show... no".. something like that. Then she did a line of coke and started making out with Matt.

Lita's Pick:

12. Marilyn Manson - Dope Show

Matt's Pick:

13. Tool - Sober

After the video they reveal "it was another great pick by Matt".  Everyone's scared shitless at this point by the meat pipe, and Lita's freaking out because she did too much coke. She gets up and starts running around the studio doing the finger thing, and then finally tries to hurricanrana Jericho, who promptly no-sells it and drops her on her big Irish head.

Jamey takes us to commercial.

Back and they show a clip of Wrestlemania 19 of Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels.

Jamey welcomes us back and says everyone picked the play list for tonight.  Lita loks at the camera and drools.

Jamey thanks the Wrestlemania Superstars.  They promote Wrestlemania XX again and tells everyone to order it on PPV.

Everyone is out of the studio.  Back with news on Slipknot and the Hatebreed tour with Drowning Pool.
