Ron "Faarooq" Simmons was fired today by WWE, just hours before a television angle done on Tuesday, where he was also fired, was scheduled to air.

Weren't they going to keep him around as a road agent or some other backstage capacity?

Bah, that's what he gets for not really retiring. He didn't bring a lot to the table anymore anyway.

Shit. I hope they released him from his WRESTLING contract but I guess they figured they didn't need him as a road agent after all.

Is this where I cry?

How many damn road agents does Faarooq think they need.

But the best part of this angle is easy to see: Bradshaw's turning heel! Another pointless push for a so-so wrestler! WOOO!

I always liked him too. He made me like APA. Weird.

I like Ron Simmons...I don't want to see him wrestle anymore...but I like him.

I could see TNA finding a place for him as the Truth's advisor or something as he gets his push back towards the main event. Truth doesn't need a mouthpiece...but a veteran manager might work out.

Simmons was the first black World Champion, and Truth was the first black NWA Champion...so there would be some common ground to form a storyline alliance on.

As usual it doesn't take long for people to bring up TNA.

HE RETIRED PEOPLE!

So...with Simmons gone...who is the second youngest active competitor after Flair?

Undertaker or Booker...both are 39 I believe.

He didn't retire. He got fired. I highly doubt that is the way he wants to go out in wrestling. I think he could still impress alot of people and help alot of guys out if he went to TNA. He would be mostly retired and only work 1 day a week.

I've always liked him also. I'd rather see Ron wrestle than some of these other guys WWE puts on the air. Heck, I was pulling for Ron to beat Taker for the WWF World Title back all those years ago.

He'd fit in perfectly in TNA, either as a manager or some other such role, while possibly wrestling the rare match now and then to get over his storylines as a manager, etc...

I thought he tried to retire last year, but they asked him back to form APA?

Yeah, and then Bradshaw wrote a book, shaved his hair, got a FOX News gig..err..Im giving too much away from Smackdown..

Suffice to say that you know this leads to a Bradshaw singles run.

Meltz said "fired" instead of "released." He doesn't like to sugar-coat, or did Ron piss someone off?

Didn't he get into a confrontation with Big Show a couple of weeks ago? Maybe Show has more clout than we thought.

I don't think it is Big Show having clout as much as possibly Faarooq starting it. If Faarooq was having a bad attitude overall, then possibly that contributed to it.
