Guest The Rising Star Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 I think Gangrel was over because he had a great theme. Who are other wrestlers that got put over because of their music/theme?
Guest ravman77 Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 NAO. The whole "Oh you didnt know" stuff seemed to get them over big regardless of the DX connection.
Guest wayzing Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 I think the Powers Of Pain were helped greatly by their face entrance theme when they arrived in WWF. Once they turned heels and the entrance theme was history the buzz when they were coming to the ring och celebrating a victory was gone. In fact, I believe that was a considerable part of the reason for their lack of heat after the double turn at Survivor Series 1988.
razazteca Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Sandman, New Jack, RVD, Road Warriors, Midnight Express, Undertaker, Kane, Austin.

Notice how their heat plummeted after they finally got rid of their awesome theme.
Guest Indikator Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Most ECW acts Paul Heyman pushed to the moon (Dreamer, Taz, 911, TPE...)
razazteca Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 RVD Current, or ECW theme? Both "Walk" and "One of a Kind"
NYU Posted March 19, 2004 Report Posted March 19, 2004 Goldberg. The marching theme seemed to fit in perfectly with the walk through the locker room and the fireworks that followed. The tempo of the music just seemed to have that whole "Goldberg is coming out to kick some ass" feeling, and it had the ability to excite fans even more. Seriously, I don't know if Goldberg would ever have been as over as he was without his entrance music in WCW.
Papacita Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 How about HHH? His heat dropped off a bit between his turn against DX and his picking up "My Time" as his theme. WWF Tazz could probably fall in this category too.
DangerousDamon Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 Could you put Austin into this category?
Guest Choken One Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I miss "My Time"...I thought it was a GREAT theme.
JHawk Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 You're all forgetting the Fabulous Freebirds. Tell me that Badstreet USA didn't help keep them over everywhere they went. The one place they didn't use it was their two month WWF run in 1984, and nobody remembers they had a two month WWF run in 1984 as a result.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I might nominate Ultimate Warrior.
Masked Man of Mystery Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 I dare anyone to tell me they didn't mark out seeing Sandman coming out to Enter Sandman.
deancoles Posted March 20, 2004 Report Posted March 20, 2004 The Mean Street Posse used to get pretty good heat because of their entrance music.
