Some interesting news items...

 

- WWE production crew members handed out signs at RAW on Monday that read "Egghead" and "Molly's bald."

 

- The DVD for WrestleMania XX will be a three disc set. The set will feature the PPV itself, the Heat broadcast, Hall of Fame footage, bonus interviews, the 'Greatest Matches in WrestleMania History' TV special, and 'The Mania of WrestleMania' special.

There was a documentary years ago that basically said that the WWE hands out the multitude of signs for TV. That's not new. It's all part of the selling. As a matter of fact, I used to think that the WWE could go so far as to BAN fans from making their own signs, and they can only use the ones that the WWE made.

when I had front row seats at Raw in '98, a 12 year old kid had a "Sable Two Words: FUCK ME" sign taken away, lol. I also had an ECW sign and a WWE official came and berated me and said my entire section would be blocked from TV because of my sign. I kind of laughed at him and shrugged him off, went home popped in the Raw tape only to see the camera focus right in on me for a good 15 seconds as they were going to commercial break after a Shamrock/Austin/Rock interview. That was funny. WCW was worse, they made me put on my flannel shirt over my ECW shirt, and they weren't very nice about it at all.

I went to Judgement Day '01 (sadly) with a Lita sign which took 2 months to create and almost 85 dollars to get printed, our seats were right under the setup for Heat and and during the event they cut to a shot of a sign that says Lita instead of this kick ass hand-drawn, photoshop-ed, colorful sign that I had done, oh well in a bit of karmic justice I took it to Raw 3 months later sitting near ringside the sign didn't get on tv again but hell I got it signed by Lita so at least I was happy about that.

 

I'll post the sign possibly.
