Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Hey, Dc has a lot of powerful villans but I base my judgement on victories over heros and villans. Here's my top five: Parralax- Beat Superman ( Twice, I believe), Guy Gardner( Both as Warrior and with the yellow ring), John Stewert, Kyle Rayner, Drew with Thanos, Defeated the cyborg, Knocked off the Spectre, Killed Sinestro, and saved the world from the Sun-eater. I've always liked the " Villan who tries to do the right thing", plus Hal is my all-time favorite comic character. Extant- Beat the entire Justice Society ( Except maybe Alan Scott). Master of time. Prometheus- 1-1 ( I think) with Batman, took out the entire Justice League. Neron- Kicked about 900 types of super-ass in the underworld unleashed, and killed the being responsible for the death of Coast city. Darkseid- Need I say more? Opinions?
thuganomics Posted March 22, 2004 Report Posted March 22, 2004 Kick Prometheus & Neron's asses off that list. They didn't amount to a heck of a lot. #1: Anti-Monitor: he ate universes for goodness sake. #2: Parallax #3: Darkseid #4: Extant #5: Mordru: at least pre-revamp the guy was the biggest villain of an entire millennium.
converge241 Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 1) anti-monitor in bad ass original costume 2) parallax 3) original monarch (as in before they pussied out and changed it from captain atom to hawk) 4) darkseid 5) doomsday
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 How could I forget about the anti-monitor? Ok, replace Prometheus with his name.
Steviekick Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 1) anti-monitor in bad ass original costume 2) parallax 3) original monarch (as in before they pussied out and changed it from captain atom to hawk) 4) darkseid 5) doomsday Those are my choices, as well.
Betty Houle Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 1) anti-monitor in bad ass original costume 2) parallax 3) original monarch (as in before they pussied out and changed it from captain atom to hawk) 4) darkseid 5) doomsday These are all pretty good choices. Too bad that they all suck (except for Darkseid).
Jingus Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 These are all pretty good choices. Too bad that they all suck (except for Darkseid). Huh? Clarification please?
Guest BDC Posted March 26, 2004 Report Posted March 26, 2004 I like Doomsday myself as a villian, even more with the backstory of him, but from what I understand, I'm a minority. As for Parallax... um, one guy ate a universe, but Parallax had the ability to reset the whole damn thing and basically be God. He goes at the top of my list.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 They all suck? No hero ( Or villan for that matter) has ever beaten Parralax or Extant one on one
Steviekick Posted March 27, 2004 Report Posted March 27, 2004 These are all pretty good choices. Too bad that they all suck (except for Darkseid). Huh? Clarification please? That is an insanely powerful and evil group to deal with. If I was in the DCU, I would crap myself thinking about any one of them.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I just picked up Day of Judgement 1-4, and Asmodel/ Spectre is a really powerful badass, I'd put him after Parralax and the Anti-monitor.
Steviekick Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I just picked up Day of Judgement 1-4, and Asmodel/ Spectre is a really powerful badass, I'd put him after Parralax and the Anti-monitor. Spectre is IMMENSELY powerful. He's DC's equivalent of the Living Tribunal, who is the most powerful creature in the Marvel Universe.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Stevie, no one else anywhere has given me an answer, has the new Spectre ( Hal)fought any other heroes? All I remember is him beating Zauriel and Plastic man in JLA #35, and him turning superman and Batman to stone ( When they were unwillingly put on a wall to have their power to turn Dc back to the Golden age.) Thanks.
Steviekick Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Hal Spectre fought JLA in a crossover miniseries between the two, but IRC it was a draw since there was an alien life force that was draining his powers.
Betty Houle Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 These are all pretty good choices. Too bad that they all suck (except for Darkseid). Huh? Clarification please? All I meant (which I should had said at the time) was, yes, they are probably among the most powerful DC villans. BUT they are all (except Darkseid) pretty boring characters. I have no use for tem and haven't read stories where they were portrayed in a particularly interesting fashion.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted April 14, 2004 Report Posted April 14, 2004 Are you referring to Jla #35?
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 They all suck? No hero ( Or villan for that matter) has ever beaten Parralax or Extant one on one That doesn't amount to a whole lot if they don't make for good stories.
