Movies that should have been good...

I'm gonna to pick Waterworld, this was actually a pretty cool idea, but Costner's obsession with himself ruined any chance the movie had of being good.

Ali... great performance by Smith, and it even had a good director. But the movie itself was horrible, choppy, and felt completely rushed

Equilibrium - it had a nice concept, but they could have explored it a lot better without simply ripping Orwell and Minority Report (I know the director produced it). The gun-art thing was semi cool but deserved a better executed film to exploit it in. Christian Bale also kinda sucked in it.

Searching for Bobby Fisher

Just kidding, bps.

I'll say all of M. Night Shamalamadingdong's movies. Very overrated. I guess you can add A.I. as well. I'm sure there are more.

Only M Night Whatever movie I like is Unbreakable, his bad one, so they say. I guessed the twist ending before the first scene of the movie, but I liked it's style. Eamonn Walker (Said from Oz) had a cameo too, that's cool.

Jason goes to Hell.

-Supposedly the ending to one of the longest running movie series of all time. TERRIBLE shit there......

You guys didn't like the Sixth Sense???

I thought that was one of the best movies from the past 10 years. I've liked all three of his big movie a lot. Hell, I even thought that Stewart Little was alright.

I watched "Cabin Fever" two days ago and my God it was terrible. Not sure if anyone expected it to be anything great in the first place, though.

I loved it. But then, that's my favorite genre. Some of it was just damn strange, but cool with me.

And no, I didn't like Sixth Sense. It was jumpy the first time I watched it, I'll give it that. But it had this feel to it... I'm trying to find the words to describe it. It was like, you know how if you're at home by yourself, you let your guard down. You probably wouldn't act the same way if somebody could see you. Sixth Sense felt like a movie chilling out by itself at home. Signs felt the same way. Plus I found it condescending and heavy handed. Too much significance was placed on the 'surprise' ending, which I also guessed early. It wasn't terrible, but worse than it thought it was.

I don't even think of Ali as a film. I liked it for what it was though, which was just a few random scenes from his life.

I know they didn't mean to present it like that, but that's what it was like to me.

I hated Signs, that movie was just a huge mess after a while. It started off ok, but when it went for the ending it just fell totally apart. I hope Shyamalan's The Village will be good, but I'm not holding my breath after Signs.

I don't mind strange and weird. But the acting was crap. Seen better in porn.

I love Equilibrium personally. And Ali was painfully slow. I was just waiting for the thing to get over with

Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Spiderman.

Maybe those don't count because so many people THINK they were good anyway...

I really disagree with you there. I enjoyed the 3 LOTR movies and Spiderman. And what's with people who "THINK" they're good movies? Almost sounds like they're crap and it's an unbebatable fact

Matrix Reload, Matrix Revolutions, and Ali are three mentioned above that I agree with.

I liked Waterworld.

I liked Waterworld too...I understand that it wasn't very good. But I enjoyed it. The Postman too actually

Yeah same.

I wouldn't give them high scores anything, and theres alot of flaws in each movie, but I "enjoyed" them both. I actually saw Waterworld in theaters the day it came out too.

The new Star Wars movies. Proves that Lucas is a lazy writer that cares more about the look of his movies.

All three of the new ones.

The first two shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as the originals, and the third and final Star Wars film that comes out next year will be the same sort of rubbish. I'll go see it, I'll mark out for it, but it's going to be just as bad a film as the first two.

Yeah, I'm expecting only about half of the loose ends to be tied up. And it's a bad sign when you fuck up so bad in the first one (mediclorians) that you totally drop it and the whole Messiah thing for the 2nd movie.
