eiker_ir Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Comingsoon.net reports that MDP Worldwide Entertainment, Inc. announced that principal photography is underway on its new film, SANTA'S SLAY. MDP is co-producing SS along with Brett Ratner (RUSH HOUR series). SANTA'S SLAY is an action infused horror-comedy that casts everyone's favorite holiday figure, Santa, in an entirely new and sinister light. WWE wrestling star Bill Goldberg plays the devilish Santa Claus, alongside up-and-coming young stars Douglas Smith and Emilie de Ravin, and veteran character actors Robert Culp, Saul Rubinek, and Dave Thomas. (thanks to Bloody-Disgusting.com) WTF , sounds awesome!
2GOLD Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Bombs? I'll be shocked if it gets past Direct to DVD
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Why does Brett Ratner have anything to do with this ? Run.
2GOLD Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 The WWE didn't put any money into this thing did they??? Cause if they did, I'm curious to know how much they'll lose and how many people will be fired.
Guest Choken One Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 will they actually PROMOTE a movie without one of their own guys and go "HEY! Remember that guy that left a few months ago? Well he made a movie! go watch it folks!"
NoCalMike Posted March 29, 2004 Report Posted March 29, 2004 So is this just a 90 minute version of that Tales From the Crypt Santa episode? Hahahaha.....
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Why am I strongly reminded of Santa With Muscles? Deon, I didn't recognise you at first with the new look.
Downhome Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I demand images ASAP. Well ok Mr. Downhome, if you insist!
Guest El Satanico Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 This can't possibly be good even on the B movie scale.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Define "B" movie. Oh this isn't B. This would be a Z movie. Z is pure garbage
Guest Choken One Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I still love the fact that a JEWISH person plays EVIL SANTA.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I have a feeling it'll be so bad that it's just plain bad.
eiker_ir Posted April 7, 2004 Author Report Posted April 7, 2004 It's going to be so bad that I'll love it.
MrRant Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I still love the fact that a JEWISH person plays EVIL SANTA. But notice the Jew will get whats coming to him in the end.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I guess nobody in the WWE has ever seen Silent Night, Deadly Night
Nighthawk Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 So is this just a 90 minute version of that Tales From the Crypt Santa episode? Hahahaha..... That was like the best one though. It was also one of the ones they did in the TFTC movie in the 70s, making it one of the only (if not the only) TFTC stories filmed twice. Classic.
Guest Razor Roman Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Reminds me of the movie "Ernest Saves Christmas" where the guy who was supposed to be the new Santa Claus was acting in a movie called "Christmas Slay" when he thought it was called "Christmas Sleigh" Ugh.
Guest Annoyed Grunt Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 It was also one of the ones they did in the TFTC movie in the 70s, making it one of the only (if not the only) TFTC stories filmed twice. Classic. The 'mean guy who runs the home for the blind' story from the 70's movie was done on the show as well.
Kaertos Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I don't think WWE has anything to do with this flick. I think this is one of the deals that Goldberg worked out on his own pre-WWE.
Downhome Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Are you ready? This flick airs tonight, as well as on Saturday night: In a follow up from an earlier story, Chester Raleigh sent word that Bill Goldberg's "Santa's Slay" movie airs tonight on Spike TV at 9 p.m., in edition this Saturday night. Darren sent this one. ... According to the Daily News' Sunday TV Guide, called New York Vue, on Saturday night, October 29, they have Santa's Slay, the movie with Goldberg, listed as airing at 7:00 PM, on Spike TV, prior to UFC and then Impact. I just checked it on my DVR guide and it's listed here too, for you Goldberg fans.
imajackoff? Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 isnt Brett Ratner currently waxing Serena Williams? You gotta give him is due for that.
2GOLD Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 isnt Brett Ratner currently waxing Serena Williams? You gotta give him is due for that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's also directing X3...life is good for him right now but it could go south in a hurry.
Vern Gagne Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 What's great about this movie is it fits in with both Halloween and Christmas.
bob_barron Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 They killed all the big stars in the first 2 minutes. Scream this ain't.
treble Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 It's weird hearing Claire from Lost talk without her accent.
