converge241 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2004 by releasing the acoustic album LOL seriously though i dont think that they sound like them 100% of the time (even if they were an AIC cover band after sully's time on drums with seka/strip mind). There is a similarity and the comparisons are not unfounded but that "running blind" song sounds like a Jar of Flies outtake moreso than any other song before (like an AIC song that is) no offense to anyone that likes them but yeesh why would you want to do that if you are them? It's like no one is allowed to sound remotely close to anyone else at all. So much having someone else's band be an inspiration, heh? Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, blah blah blah. It all goes back somewhere.
