Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 To our registered users and guests, I have been fairly computer savvy for many years. However, my baptism of fire into the pro-wrestling Internet world did not really come until I left World Wrestling Entertainment in October of 2002. I had the desire to keep my finger on the pulse of the business, and at the same time keep my name out there for my long time fans to see. I was invited by the staff and management of old-school wrestling to join their message board. It didn’t take long for us to out grow our stay there, and I decided in April 2003, that we should venture out on our own. THE PRINGLE DYNASTY EzBoard was born. “Plowboy” Kurt Nielsen used his outstanding talents to design my website, and naturally became the administrator for our message forums. Registered users Guerin Shea and Steve Pulliam, stood out amongst the crowd and were enlisted as moderators. These three gentlemen have gone above and beyond the call to duty many times during the past year. There isn’t any way that I can ever tell them how much I appreciate their efforts and friendship. Nobody knows what we have been through, and the troubles we have endured, more than Kurt, Guerin, and Steve. We tried desperately to keep the bad from infecting the good. I was amazed at the feces that floated to the top of the wrestling Internet cesspool. Not only were my 30-years of dedication to the wrestling industry attacked by the bloodthirsty Internet vultures, so were my personal ideals, as well as my family and friends. I did my level best to explain that our message board was not for everyone. I demanded complete respect for my business and it’s performers. However, many users continued to drag my name, and my business through the dirt. After rejoining WWE last month, things went to hell in a hand basket on the board. I became a natural target. I couldn’t say anything without the vultures picking at the bones of my comments. I had to protect my business, and my own integrity. However, I couldn’t get the majority to understand where I was coming from. Now I know why wrestling figures cannot maintain a one-on-one relationship with their fans on the Internet. I tried and I failed, it’s that simple. I don’t have the time, or the desire to continue my efforts here any longer. I must say that there are many intelligent members of our forums out there. Some have been loyal to us from day one. To you, and you know who you are, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To you vultures, and you know who you are too; all I can say is that you won. The “Fatman” did a job for you. Unfortunately, the losers are the good folks that I have been talking about, for you people we will continue to keep PercyPringle.com online. I am looking forward to several more years of my association with World Wrestling Entertainment. It is just a damn shame that the Internet world rapes our business each and every day. I guess it is just the nature of the beast, and there isn’t anything we can do to stop it. Keeping that fact in mind, I sincerely wish you all my very best. Something really bad must have happened for Percy to have shut the board down. But, to be honest, I saw it coming (even before the backlash started on his board). Still, saying that the internet "rapes" the wrestling business is a little too strong, IMO.

How many times has the almost constant blitzkrieg of caustic negativity caused posters to turn bitter towards the majority of the posters in this folder? How often have frequent posters stopped posting in this folder alone?

How often have frequent posters stopped posting in this folder alone? I wish I could disagree with this but I can't. Why so many people go online just to rip apart anything and everything remains an utter mystery to me, but a lot of people do. I've seen it on wrestling boards, and I've seen it on comic boards, and I've seen it on music boards. I like to complain on occassion but the vicious attacks some of these people make astounds me.

No, because of YOU I think that that remark now means that it should be directed at you. Seriously though, when you stop and think about it - he had to shut down his message board, his fucking forum, because of how people were behaving. On his official website. It's disgusting. At least we have the common fucking courtesy to come here.

HOWEVER, I still feel that saying the Internet "rapes" the wrestling business is a bit much. I don't think Percy hates the online "dirt-sheets,' because he had links to the Torch and the Observer on his site before rejoining WWE. Let's also not forget that many times the IWC is right in regards to the business. In any case, I hate to see the board go. It was a good place to interact with other fans.

Jobber of the Week Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 I think in his current role he's near useless since Taker doesn't need him anymore, but it's unfortunate so many lamers piled into his board. I don't know what happened, because on my two visits to that board it was a very nice place to ask a question for a guy who had seen plenty of wrestlers and backstage personalities come and go and actually get an answer. My guess is people decided to air their less-than-favorable opinions of Taker at him day and night? I know he's a bit of a mark for that angle and character, but he was a part in kicking it off so I can understand why he values it more than most smark types do.
