Open the Muggy Gate Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 WWE News: Undertaker, Booker T, Bradshaw, Edge Posted By Ashish on 04.08.04 Plus the latest on Scott Steiner... - WWE management feels that at this stage in his career, The Undertaker should only be used as a special attraction, not a regular performer. The feeling right now is that by having him work house shows, it adds a special feeling to them. - Many backstage in Smackdown continue to be shocked that WWE is booking Booker T in an angle where he acknowledges that Smackdown is inferior to RAW. This has many upset since backstage everyone realizes that WWE pays more attention to RAW. The feeling is that mentioning this on TV will just smarten up fans to the fact that it is true. - At this point, Bradshaw is still set to headline the May Smackdown PPV against Eddie Guerrrero. - Edge really does have a fracture in his hand. - Scott Steiner is still out with what is believed to be a groin injury. God Damn it, WHY IS BRADSHAW BEING PUSHED?! 2.) Ha-Ha. Edge doesn't even wrestle and injures himself for a third time. Way to go champ. 3.) I guess him and Orton acting out "A Night In The Shower With Bradshaw" didn't work out to well, since his groin is still injured.
Boner Kawanger Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I love how these reports about him read like no one knows where Steiner is.
The Amazing Rando Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 TONIGHT! SPECIAL ATTRACTION! THE UNDERTAKER!! (squashing Booker T) Fans: YIPPIE IT'S HIM! (squashes Booker T) Fans: Now why doesn't he do that on Smackdown when Booker says mean things!! *cry*
Vyce Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Goddamn, Randy must have fucked him up. I don't even think Steiner took this much time off for his dropped-foot syndrome problems back in WCW.
CanadianChick Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 - Edge really does have a fracture in his hand. Dammit. At this rate with all these minor injuries, Edge is the new HHH. Ha-Ha. Edge doesn't even wrestle and injures himself for a third time. Way to go champ. Actually, he has wrestled since he returned. Him and Maven had a tag match against someone (can't think of who at the moment) for OVW.
RavishingRickRudo Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Damn CC, you ruined my joke. HHH: Listen, Vince... I don't like this idea of me and Edge.. Vince: What son, you don't want to feud with him? HHH: Well, it's not that..exactly.. it's just that, I don't feel I should put someone over who will just get injured all the time and won't be able to pay off the investment, you know? Unknown Voice: AW THAT'S BULLSH- *RVD, Booker, Kane fall from the ceiling* *HHH and Vince look down at them* *Booker coughs from all the dust, Kane looks up, and RVD had a dejected look on his face*
Guest Askewniverse Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Actually, he has wrestled since he returned. Him and Maven had a tag match against someone (can't think of who at the moment) for OVW. They beat La Resistance.

Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I was thinking Edge = Kevin Nash
CanadianChick Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I was thinking Edge = Kevin Nash Except one has talent. Draw your own conclusions.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 And then there's that guy who gets a lot of chants and gets them money with merchandise. And that guy with the awful skin condition and the whacky hair.
The Tino Standard Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I just figured the Undertaker was in limbo right now because the plan had been for him to feud with Brock Lesnar after WM. Now that Brock's gone, Undertaker has been left hanging in the wind.
Use Your Illusion Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I've no desire to watch SD! unless Taker is on, and the way their shows have beenr recently, it won't take too much longer to *really* kill off what little fan base that God forsaken show had in the first place. RAW is where it's always at. UYI
Guest Anglesault Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 I just figured the Undertaker was in limbo right now because the plan had been for him to feud with Brock Lesnar after WM. "Feud" in the same sense that Yankees/Red Sox is a rivalry.

Lil' Bitch Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 - Many backstage in Smackdown continue to be shocked that WWE is booking Booker T in an angle where he acknowledges that Smackdown is inferior to RAW. This has many upset since backstage everyone realizes that WWE pays more attention to RAW. The feeling is that mentioning this on TV will just smarten up fans to the fact that it is true. Okay so what's the point in the fucking brand split now, in this competition they've been having since it first started, if RAW is always going to be the better show? - At this point, Bradshaw is still set to headline the May Smackdown PPV against Eddie Guerrrero. Well, that settles it. I'm missing out on attending JD. - Edge really does have a fracture in his hand. (insert masterbation joke here) Seriously though, I'm torn on this. One half of me hopes Edge can make it to Backlash and go through with the match since I was actually looking forward to Edge / Kane, but then again with a legit injury like that, its been better if he bails out. I know I would.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 While it will increase House Show attendance and give them a special feel (more-so), The Undertaker rarely ever appearing on SmackDown! is just unrealistic, considering his gimmick, and after such a heavily-publicised return. Yes, I still want the brand-split ended. I've said it many times - WWE are not capitalising on opportunies. Instead of a fucking Test/Scott Steiner feud, we could've seen an Intercontinental Championship feud involving Lance Storm. I'm just beating a dead horse. You're kidding! Eddy and Bradshaw are headlinging Judgment Day? And yes, a hand fracture will definitely restrict Edge from working a match at Backlash to the best of his ability. But it's not going to affect the match itself - because The Undertaker will appear at Backlash, letting Edge get the win over Kane.

I just assumed it was common knowledge to post where 411mania received their news from, because they don't actually "report" news (which is also common knowledge). The original news is from PWI Insider. Credit them BOTH if you want, but the priority goes to PWI, since it's their material and 411 just gathers it.
Guest Trivia247 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 It doesn't make sense for Undertaker to be put on house show duty only. It takes him out of any angles and if they do put him on PPV's they do so without a viable angle. If they are doing this because of age and condition, wouldn't it make more sense just to have him do TV shows alone and PPV they would be less rigorous than travelling the country doing house shows.

Double-edged sword. If Taker limits his schedule to television tapings while being booked in a important angle or feud, fans will be disappointed when he doesn't work the house shows.

Yes, but it is also about advertising the site that you received the news from, thus more hits.
