This is the ultimate guide to your pet peeve to tv shows. You ask the questions and hope someone has an answer. But I have a question, WHY are kids at school always in the halls and are never tardy or have nothing better to do. Like on BMW, Cory and Shawn can stand in the hall for 2 minutes and just talk and everyone else too. What up wit dat. AND why does someone say "Hey man, you want a soda?" and give them one and then they take little sips from the soda/juice/water/milk? They dont have to chug it down, but damn, drink the shit.

Why are there camera crews filming at mundane places(ie coffee shops and schools) that aren't being newsworthy?

Why do said camera crews stop doing their jobs and start filming certian people who aren't doing anything except living their everyday lives?

How come on some sitcoms (usually older ones) when someone enters a room they never shut the door behind them? A few less seconds to waste, camera trick, noise in the scene?

Why is it whenever there is war footage people are dancing around and chanting in the streets?

And what is up with the trend of fake marriages/relationships being used to promote movies?

To let the viewing audience know where the jokes are. I don't find it any worse than any show using canned laughter, it being a cartoon doesn't make it any more fake. They weren't the only cartoon either, but probably the first.

Ever notice on some sports talk shows the person being interviewed seems to be reading the response from the teleprompter?

What happened to the Daily Show? Some of my favorite correspondents left (Mo Rocca) and now the show is not as funny as it used to be. I'm sorry but Jon Stewart's political humor is not funny to me nor is Samatha Bee as the new correspondent.

Which franchise has more spinoffs CSI or Law & Order?

Why are daytime talk shows being shown at the late late late hours like 2 AM in my region? The View and Allie & Mike gets no love from the San Antonio tv stations.

Did any of the people who got married on tv actually get married for real?

You mean when getting married was the whole concept of a show? Or people who were getting married anyway and did on tv for some reason. Some of the latter were for real.

Why are all families in sticoms rich? I can only think of Married With Children where the family is broke as hell. Same goes for every show ending "Happy", but All In The Family definitely steered away from that sometimes.

And on the note of cartoons with canned laughter, scooby Doo (the early ones at least) also had it. Sounds wrong with cartoons, but it's not like I pay for it.

Shows like Average Joe, Meet the Parents, Bachalor. The day time soaps is a whole different deal.

And why could George and Jerry from Seinfeld constantly land women that were 10x out of their league?

I thought Jerry got them because he was so damn funny.

But I never understood why George got them. Maybe it is because he is a marine biologist.

Why did you bring up soaps...neither of you mentioned anything about soaps prior to this.

Roseane was Middle Class Blue Collar except for the "DREAM SEASON"...which they became rich when it turned out Roseane was writing a book after Dan Died and they had PLENTY of non-happy endings.

All in the Family wasn't Rich either.

I would guess they don't really drink anything because they usually have to shoot a scene several times, and if they drank a ton every take they'd be running to the bathroom everytime the director yells cut.

Jon's humor is funny but incredibly hit or miss, IMO.

And Samantha Bee is funnier than Rob Cordry but not as funny as Stephen Colbert (but NOBODY on TDS is funnier than Colbert) or Ed Helms.

And I too miss Mo. It's not like he's doing anything RELEVANT like Carell is...

Oops, forgot about AitF being middle-class. I almost never watched Roseanne but oops again, my mistake. No family was poorer than the Bundys though. Tang Wipe anyone?

yeah but Married wasn't a REAL family whatsoever...

Roseane was the GREATEST decpiction of the Average American Family...

Not beautiful and Glamourous, They had a shoddy house with bad furniture, Screwed up friends and had REAL fucking issues not like "Oh Daddy I maxed out the credit card!" bullshit...They dealt with Racism, Homosexuality, Death, Hate, Divorce, Drugs, Teen Pregancy, Rape, young marriage, hopes and dreams, Dan's Heart Attack (something NO sitcom does, puts the comedic head in a serious situation).

Roseane wasn't a dainty attractive mother, she was tough, brash, emotional, sarcastic and not "beautiful"...she was like nearly every real girl that Hollywood has hid from your screens for the last 50 years.

Dan was the man that every day really is, Not perfect, Loves his family, knows he has problems but can't fix them, protective, sarcastic, angry.

The Kids were normal...they didn't have stupid problems like the kids on BMW or 8 Simple Rules. DJ didn't like Kissing a black girl, Becky fell in love with Mark dispite knowing it wasn't a good life for her, and Darlene dealt with David for years...their problems weren't solved in 30 minute blocks...they lingered throughout the show.

They hated their mom and it wasn't like most tv shows where it's "oh my mother coming over! ahhh!"...you could see their vehemous hatred for her but yet they kept her.

Jackie had countless relationship problems, countless boyfriends with countless trials and tribulations, had Ben out of wedlock with Fred, whom she never really felt anything for but dealt with the issue of abortion but wanted a child so badly, she was willing to bear the weight of her mother and soceity's objections.

They didn't hang out at ritzy places, they didn't dine at fancy resturants...They went to the local Elk Lodge or to the bowling alley...

Roseanne, IMO was a show that got tarnished by the final season, which actually made sense if you watched the final Episode but people didn't...so they were left with a bad impression.

A show, that I think was equal with AITF.

I am a real person. I never dealt with any of those things.
