Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted May 26, 2004 He may not be the league MVP, but he's certainly been the Lakers' MVP this season, that you can't doubt. Even with that whole court mess.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Just a head's up... Don't forget, ya'll. Draft Lottery is tonight, and I still say Orlando won't get the #1 pick.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 I don't think I can watch game four because I will be damned if I listen to one more person talk about how heroic and strong and brave Kobe is by coming from court on RAPE CHARGE to play basketball. There is just something really wrong with that.
Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted May 26, 2004 This year's draft class looks like a clunker. No team is really pining for the #1 pick like in past years. I'll laugh my ass off to see the Clippers get the number one pick, only to blow it again. Edit: BTW, does anyone still think Kwame Brown can develop into a star a la Jermaine O'Neal? alfdogg 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Here are the team's chances out of 1,000 at getting the No. 1 pick: Orlando: 250 Chicago: 200 Washington: 157 LA Clippers: 105 Atlanta: 104 Phoenix: 64 Toronto: 37 Philadelphia: 36 Cleveland: 18 Golden State: 9 Seattle: 9 Portland: 6 Utah: 5 LINK~

There is just something really wrong with that. I don't hear anyone saying how heroic, strong, or brave Kobe is to be coming from court to play ball. I think the admiration lies in that he has to fly out to Colorado, fly back to Los Angeles and just barely make it in time for the game and play as well as he does regardless of putting up with the legal bullshit and the jet lag. Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Its not legal bullshit. no matter which way you cut it, he got himself into it. I am more impressed if a guy has to take care of his kids before he comes to a game than "OHHH, Bryant had to fly in a private jet/first class from Denver and got there some 1-2 hours before the game!!!! AMAZING." 2 hours of sitting there isn't jet lag. 1 hour of traffic when you are driving is a hell of alot more strenious.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Well, assuming Kobe is innocent, it's a very heroic feat. I should assume he is innocent, why again. And even if he is, its a 2 hour flight!!! Its not like he is flying from Japan everyday. In LA, I am pretty sure it takes alot of the guys 2 hours to get to the arena. They don't get verbally felated every game for it either. Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Well -- again, assuming he's innocent -- false rape accusations can be very mentally taxing. And when you tie that in with a game that requires a lot of calmness and concentration, it's amazing how he's been able to overcome the ordeal and score 42 points, for instance. And once again...doing day to day things are mentally taxing. Kobe isn't doing shit impressive really. Its impressive that he put up 40+ points. It is no more impressive than any other time though. Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted May 26, 2004 Well, assuming Kobe is innocent, it's a very heroic feat. Yeah it takes a real hero to cheat on his wife. Even if he's innocent he's still a douchebag for cheating on his wife.

He has to fly out from Los Angeles in the morning and go an hour into the future, making it 3 hours ahead then fly back in the afternoon another 2 hours and then suit up, get mentally focused on the game and go out and play. And he does it, damn well. 2 hours of sitting there isn't jet lag. 1 hour of traffic when you are driving is a hell of alot more strenious. Not if you're used to driving in LA it's not, trust me. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 It'd be funny if The Cavs got the #1 pick again. Yet, it's still going to be a very weak draft.
Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Draft Lottery order: 1) Orlando 2) Clippers 3) Bulls Eh, I still think the lotteries are rigged. There's got to be more room for upsets, yet it didn't happen with the exception of the Clippers.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 If I was the GM of the Magic I would trade the pick with the Bobcats and pick the player from the University of Nevada or UCON.

The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 When you're down in a game with little time left, I don't think players should ever try and draw a foul at that time. I don't ever remember ref's calling a foul in the final seconds, no matter how obvious they are.
Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Pistons vs. Lakers in the Finals is a wet dream of Davin Stern's. Two big markets = ratings. Personally, I'm rooting for Wolves vs. Pacers.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 In my opinion, As we know, Orlando will probably take Emeka Okafor with the #1 pick, then the Clippers will surprise everybody and take Luol Deng, Dwight Howard will fall to #3 where he will be scooped up by the Bulls. - I would say the Clippers will draft Dwight Howard, but they already have 3 PF's in Brand, Ely, Wilcox. Of course, they could get rid of them (Ely, Wilcox) or somehow play Howard at Center. - Do any of you live in Chicago ? I hear that in the Newspapers out there, Paxton said he won't draft high schoolers. - On Luol Deng, I think he left Duke way too soon.
Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted May 27, 2004 Is Luol Deng Chinese? It's pretty much a sure bet that whomever the Clippers pick will SUCK BIG TIME. It's the Clippers curse, ya know?
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2004 The Pacers have got to find a way to get the ball in the basket if they hope to have any chance in this series. Funny thing is if they win game 4, we are back to square one, except it becomes a 3 game series and Indy gets their homecourt back. Same with the Wolves. God, I love the NBA playoffs, even if my beloved Kings are out.
