Rip Rip Rip!

He's really stepped it up a notch in the post season.

Pistons are one game from the promise land, hopefully they can close it out at home.

And so the Pacers are back on the ropes. I am hoping the Pistons can pull it out in Game 6. I do feel they pose more matchup problems for the potential West Champ, the Lakers. I didn't catch the game, but seems like another defensive struggle. What is up with the home team not being able to win on their court. I hope this is not a recurring theme. But I see the Pistons going the Finals.

Hell though, if I went to school with an eventual pro athlete, I'd be telling everyone too, no matter how bad he is.

I backed up Manuel White (UCLA) at running back and I put a hit on Kyle Boller (Baltimore Ravens) playing varsity football in high school. :)

I think either team from the East is going to have trouble with LA, but at this point, it looks like Detroit would put up the best fight, as they don't have two starters with injuries that aren't going to get better until they get a couple months off.

Neither team from the East can "put up a fight" against LA. If the Lakers get early series lead and get bored, they might let the Pistons have a game or two, but there's no way that the Pistons can score enough to stay with the Lakers when they're really trying. If they try to pull that shit where they think they can win 76-68, Kobe will just get 35 on undefendable shots, and the Lakers will win it 85-76.

He's really stepped up during te postseason which is really needed since Rasheed has been having a little trouble in the scoring department.

I really see the Pacers/Pistons going to 7 games.

I'd like to see it go to 7 as well. This series so far has been like a game of chess with each coach trying to counter the others' moves. Whoever comes out of the East though, I am going to be cheering for in the finals.

Well I'm looking towards tonight. Lakers/T-Wolves Game 6. The T-Wolves could force a game 7 at home or the Lakers could put them away. The T-Wolves need to come out playing the best basketball of there lives though b/c they are up against the wall.

Now I know why the league loves The Lakers so much. They draw ratings even from the haters......I watch to see them lose. But I still watch.

I did go to school with a player on one of the Rockies' single A teams...also another one who I can't find info on, was drafted by the White Sox, straight from HS. I also went to school with Eric Bush, a former UAB basketball player.

I think the Pistons can hold the Lakers to low point totals but the fact that they can't score themselves worries me a little bit.

Why doesn't everyone wait until the wolves are actually eliminated to say how bad the lakers are gonna beat everyone, wtf, no respect here either.

That's very true. Minnesota showed they can hang in the last game, no reason to count them out just quite yet.

I dunno, I just don't see them winning in LA without Cassell. I'm not totally counting them out, but I think the odds of a Pacer comeback are greater than those of Minny.

Well, its kinda like talking about someone's funeral while they're in the room and not dead.

Being a Pacer fan I feel your pain though, believe me.

And if you go to NBA.com, you'll see they're already prepping up excuses in case LA can't close out tonight.

how hard the lakers play is based on their offense. if you keep the lakers from scoring, it fucks up their chi: they can't get in their rhythm, they get frustrated & start making mistakes, and their defense gets worse. if you do the same thing to the pistons, they don't really care because they know they'll still outdo you on defense & they're used to not scoring on every possession; they won't stop trying. if they can hold down the lakers' offense, detroit has the advantage.

my concern is detroit NOT being able to hold down their offense.

Funny thing is that I'm reading this T-Wolves/Lakers stuff and seeing stuff about it on TV while that song "I Need a Hero" plays on my computer.

I feel like the lady in the song is begging for a hero(KG) to save her from the evil Lakers.......I feel that way to. :)

Maybe Cassell will do one of those injured walk to the courts where he stands up to fight for his team despite terrible injury if this goes to a Game 7.

There's a 50/50 chance Fisher won't play tonight because of a sprained right knee. With Fisher being as productive as he has been in recent weeks, this can adversely affect the Lakers' chances, because I don't see Payton having a phenomenal game to make up for it.

You never know. Gary's got a chance to get into the Finals...something he hasn't done in 8 years. He's going to bring his A game.

Gary doesn't have an A game in LA apparently.......

What is gtd doing in here dropping basketball knowledge?!

Anyhow -- Lakers fan should get VERY, VERY worried if the Wolves steal this one tonight.

If the Wolves win tonight several things could happen.

-They could expend all they have. Because as much as I hate them it takes a lot of energy to beat the Lakers 2 straight let alone 3 straight.

-They rattle the Lakers like the Spurs were rattled after Game 5 and move on to easy mop-up.

-They light a fire under the Lakers ass and the Lakers crush them in Game 7.
