It's still pretty unprofessional for a Finals game. Of course the little b-b-b-b-b act isn't helping their credibility either. Â Oh, and before the game starts my prediction tonight is Lakers 86-79. I still think they win the series in 6, although it could just as easy go 7.

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Think how much better the Lakers would be if they just opened up every possession by giving it to Shaq in the post. I really don't understand why they don't do it more.

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Detroit is shitting on the Lakers right now. Looks like they recovered pretty well. Wait until the final minute when somebody hits the miracle shot. The Lakers seem to be taking alot of mriacle shots with the shot clock dwindled down to nothing on every possesion. Â HA! Corliss Williamson just got himself taken out of the game with that behind the back passs!
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 11, 2004 "This series, to me isn't about the pistons. It's about how the Lakers can play" Â That sums up ABC and ESPN's feelings about the playoffs in general pretty nicely.

Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Screw This. I just turned off the T.V. The Lakers are gonna get blown the FUCK out. I guess they're phoning it in again.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 They're not gonna get blown out. Jackson just needs to bench Fisher until he realizes that he's not Kobe. If Shaq and Kobe ran a two-man game instead of watching Fisher run around like a chicken with his head cut off, the Lakers would be fine.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 11, 2004 The Lakers are taking too long to get into their offensive sets. Â Kobe's Air Hurraches look pretty bad ass.
Guest OraleHolmes Report post Posted June 11, 2004 I hope this ends the discussion about how Kobe is better than Jordan. Jordan, at any age, wouldn't struggle so much in a game. Â The Lakers have NO SHOT at winning this game. A five or 10 point lead is akin to a 10 or 20 point lead. Â BTW, this has to be the ugliest half in NBA Finals history.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 OK, new prediction: Lakers 70, Pistons 66. Â The Lakers can't keep playing this bad, and if the Pistons can't build the lead now, they're not gonna hold on and win. Â And, yes it's ugly.

iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Jordan was overrated. He was on a good defensive team where everyone knew their role, and he made some clutch shots. At Kobe's age, Jordan didn't even have one ring yet. Â I'm not saying that Kobe's better than MJ, but to say that Jordan would never have a bad half, and Kobe's not worthy of any comparison, because he did en route to his 4th ring at the age of 25 isn't fair. Â And I don't know how anyone would say that the Laker's can't come back right now. Shaq and Kobe can go off at any time, and they're only down seven at the half. Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted June 11, 2004 The Jordan Kobe comparison isn't really fair since Jordan spent three years at UNC. Kobe is in his seventh season and he has had the benefit of playing with Shaq his whole carwer.
The Fett 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Rasheed Wallace sucks. Â Detroit would be better off with Elden Cambell or Corliss on the floor.
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Regardless of who wins the series, I think it's obvious that the Lakers took the Pistons and this series for granted. They figured that they'd come in, sweep or maybe take it in five. So far, aside from a few situations, the Pistons have looked like the better team. I'm reminded of the Marlins and Yanks in the World Series.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Boy, those Lakers. Do they have a flair for the dramatic or what? Their last title together and they want it to go the full seven. As fans, we're lucky to get watch those kind of World Champions.
