Worst Uniforms of All Time

I blame that on teams compulsive need to change their uniforms every other week.

Anyway, while I'm on my current Anti-Astro kick, ryanrainbowjersey.JPG

Yeah, just like it's easy for Jason Terry to find his Hawks teammates with their neon-green throwback jerseys. They're still ugly, though.

Football uniforms are traditionally too bland and un-creative to have especially ugly ones, but when they manage to make a bad uniform, it shows.

I agree wholeheartedly. As someone else mentioned the Old Bucs Uniforms, plus maybe its just me, but I thought the Cowboys jerseys with the stars on the shoulders were hideous.

Speaking of Dallas, how come the Cowboys are so insistent on wearing white jerseys all the time? I think they look badass in blue.

I remember a few years back two teams (Mets and someone else, Ill say Padres) used a "wave of the future" uniform...and to say they were ugly is an under-statement. I pretty much black out on the look, but they looked NOTHING like baseball jerseys.

Mets and Pirates. 1999. The first Turn Ahead the Clock Day. Shield your eyes, people, for you're all about to be exposed to...

AS, you've forced me to bring out the uniforms in question:

Little too similar for my taste. Besides, I always thought the Yanks uniforms looked like pajamas.

Continuing the debate: The Maple Leafs logo is what gets to me. I liked the older one that had less detail.

Count me in the ones that hate the new Jays jerseys. Logo-OK. Unis--Look, ma, it's the Toronto Devil Jays!

I've never really been a fan of third jerseys. Most of the time they just look like complete and utter shit.

I believe we have a winner.

Probably more than the amount of money the Pirates spend per year on players.

Holy shit

That is just plain terrible.

That looks like something a friggin' 10-year-old would wear.

Check out this hat:

Seattle Pilots pitcher Gene Brabender, 1969

Though the Seattle Pilots were a financial failure, lasting but one season, their uniform cap was a classic. Following the innovative lead of the 1961 Los Angeles Angels and their halo-cap design, Seattle incorporated an ingenious graphic element on the bill of their caps: two golden braids (sometimes referred to as “scrambled eggs”) similar to those worn on the hats of U.S. Navy officers and commercial airline captains. When the club moved to Milwaukee just prior to the 1970 season, the team was renamed and the creative cap design abandoned.

Ignoring the hideous eyesore for a minute, you'll notice that the shirt just accentuates how horrible a solid shirt makes pinstripe pants look.

Does anyone have a picture of the Mets jerseys from the game vs the Pirates from above? they looked equally worse, and I keep thinking they reminded me of the Rockies uniforms. But I have a horrible memory.

Why are they the Mercury Mets? Did they plan on moving?

BTW, I found the Yankees' TATC jersey.

The way it should be.

They were the Mercury Mets because they were from THE FUTURE! Hell, I don't know...

Yankees didn't even participate in the TATC promotion along with the Dodgers, the Canadian teams, and a few more I'm forgetting. Those teams were really, really smart in avoiding that fashion fiasco.

My point was that those Yankee jerseys will never change

Yup...Black & Gray.....for the METS, a team whos colors are (or were) primarily blue & orange.

Thank God that shit didn't last. And Thank god again cause the Yankees weren't dumb enough to participate. I can't imagine a Yankee jersey funky-fied like those.
