Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Yet another casting rumor has been posted by Latino Review. Their source, who last week said that Michael Chicklis (The Shield) is up for The Thing and that Tim Robbins (Mystic River) is up for Dr. Doom, now tells them that Paul Walker (2 Fast 2 Furious) is in consideration for Johnny Storm. This is in addition to the news from Cinescape that Christina Millian is in consideration for Susan Storm, and the Superhero Hype! rumor that Ralf Moeller has a role as well. Based on the Marvel comics, the "Fantastic Four" consists of Reed Richards, Sue Richards, Benjamin Grimm and Johnny Storm. They rocketed into space in an experimental starship, the first humans to attempt interstellar travel. But a freak encounter with cosmic rays changed their lives forever, granting each unique powers. Now, they continue to challenge the unknown as the greatest team of superhuman adventures ever assembled. So... everybody's favorite actor, Paul Walker...
2GOLD Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Paul Walker as Human Torch and Christina Millian as the Invisible Woman? Wow, I hope those rumors are false cause that is some really bad casting if they are true. Michael Chicklis is the only member of that casting call that doesn't suck the life right out of me. I mean, Tim Robbins as Dr Doom? Tim ROBBINS? The guy from Hudsucker Proxy?
razazteca Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 It is indeed the same guy who also did the Shawshank Redeption. I would rather prefer Gary Oldman or Michael Wincott
Beast Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I think all three guys are PERFECT. Robbins is Mr. Fantastic. I could not think of a better choice. Paul Walker is Johnny Storm, another super choice. The only thing I think sucks is Milian as Sue? WTF? Are we gonna make Mr. Fantastic a pedophile?
Nighthawk Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Did you ever think Dr Doom shouldn't be a weakiling? I mean, I'd picture someone a bit more intidmidating in that role. Like... I don't know, Nick Nolte. But not actually him.
Lil' Bitch Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Millian is a choice? UGH!!!! Paul Walker makes sense, he fits "the look"
starvenger Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Millian is a choice? UGH!!!! Paul Walker makes sense, he fits "the look" I guess Milian just became a hot property because she's in Be Cool? Are we gonna make Mr. Fantastic a pedophile? To be honest, I always thought of Reed being a good 7-10 years older than Sue. Whoever does The Thing is gonna be CGI'd for the most part, so you'd need the actor to be a solid voiceover guy as well, I think. One guy that I think would work would be Neal McDonough. He's got that jock look, plus he's done animation (Bruce Banner in The Hulk) so I think he could convey the proper anguish that Ben Grimm has. And I agree with Razateca. Oldman would be a great Doom.
Lord of The Curry Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Millian is a choice? UGH!!!! Paul Walker makes sense, he fits "the look" There's also a little thing called "acting", something Paul Walker has yet to master.
Nighthawk Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Whoever does The Thing is gonna be CGI'd for the most part, so you'd need the actor to be a solid voiceover guy as well, I think. Michael Chiklis has done some voice work, himself.
razazteca Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 The Thing is suppose to be a Hoss right? I just don't see Chiklis as the character, he may be able to the voice but they will have to do some scenes before The Thing changed.
Nighthawk Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I just thought of Udo Kier playing Dr Doom. That's cool.
Youth N Asia Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Bah! Let Alexis Denisof play Richards. Give him a couple grey streaks and he has the look.

Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Dr. Doom is a role that was MADE for a little known British Shakespearean actor.
starvenger Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Bah! Let Alexis Denisof play Richards. Give him a couple grey streaks and he has the look. Geez, if you were going purely by look, then it'd be tennis player Todd Martin, hands down.

And the character is based on a friggin drawing with word bubbles...you can't go on much else but look.
Guest The Midnight Rocking Warrior Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 Fuck.............Jeremy Irons, Geoffrey Rush, Daniel Day-Lewis ( His performance in Gangs of New York was awesome, in my opinion) would be good for Doom.
razazteca Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 The perfect Dr. Doom would be Tcheky Karyo the man has the European accent needed since Dr. Doom is suppose to be Romanian or Eastern European decent, right.
