So it was the Summer of '02/'03, and I was on holidays at Rainbow Beach. A friend of mine from here in Toowoomba paid a visit, and we were with two other blokes that we'd met up here, Julian and Thomas.

 

Anyway, we'd exited the pool about 30 minutes prior and were headed over to the shops when a hot girl (with those annoying little fucking younger relatives that always hang around them) and a couple of her friends asked if we'd like to go for a swim. We were in the process of nodding and about to say "Yes" when we were really thinking "Fucking yes!" when Thomas interjected with a "Nah, we've just been."

 

They, especially the hot leader, gave us a look as if to say "Okk" and walked off, saying something.

 

After chastising him for about 10 minutes, we made our way to the pool and instead of being with them chatting, we were on the opposite side of the pool, exchanging awkward glances, thanks to our bumbling friend.

 

He was never allowed to forget it.

When you began the thread, and those girls asked you to swim, I naturally assumed you would say yes. But then you pulled a SWERVE OF GIGANATIC PROPORTIONS~! Your friend became involved, and the story took a twist I NEVER expected before.
