Styles 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 THE STEEL CAGE RETURNS! NWA World Heavyweight Title Match Champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Chris Harris The Road To The Cage has ended, and this Wednesday night "Wildcat" Chris Harris gets his long-awaited rematch against champion Jeff Jarrett inside the confines of a steel cage! Can Harris realize his lifelong dream of becoming NWA World Heavyweight Champion? Harris has already tasted gold inside the cage when America's Most Wanted reclaimed the NWA Tag Team Title against Triple X in one of the most celebrated matches in TNA history - can he do it again? Or, will the veteran Jarrett find a way to walk out of the steel enclosure with the title still around his waist? Tune in this Wednesday night to find out! RAVEN AND SABU vs. ABYSS AND THE ALPHA MALE The recent brawls between Sabu and Alpha Male Monty Brown have some of the most aggressive and brutal in TNA's recent history. After Abyss' interference in the match this past week, TNA officials have signed Raven and Sabu to face Abyss and The Alpha Male this Wednesday night in what is sure to be off the chart! We know Raven and Sabu can co-exist as a team, but can the monster Abyss and the former New England Patriot get on the same page? Tune in this Wednesday to watch! FOR A SPOT ON TEAM NWA THE FALLEN ANGEL vs. MICHAEL SHANE Up for grabs in the match between Michael Shane and Christopher Daniels this Wednesday night will be a spot on Team NWA alongside Jerry Lynn, Chris Sabin and Primetime! With the "Original Playa From The Himalaya" Sonjay Dutt departing the team to concentrate on beating Frankie "The Future" Kazarian for the X Championship, NWA officials have signed a match between the high-flyers this Wednesday night on Pay-Per-View to determine who makes the team as we head to the next X Cup event in May! NWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE REMATCH Champions D'Lo Brown and Apollo vs. Kid Kash and Dallas The newly formed team of D'Lo Brown and Puerto Rican sensation Apollo pulled off a huge shocker this last Wednesday as they beat Kid Kash and Dallas by disqualification to become the new NWA World Tag Team Champions! TNA's rulebook says a title must change hands on DQ, and apparently the monster newcomer Dallas hadn't been studying up! Proud to be new champions but not wanting to win the gold that way, Brown and Apollo will put the titles up in a championship rematch against Kash and Dallas this Wednesday night! SIMON DIAMOND AND SONNY SIAKI vs. GLENN GILBERTI AND JOHNNY SWINGER w/ Trinity The New York Connection of Glenn Gilberti and Johnny Swinger - along with Trinity - showed their true hatred for Simon Diamond and Sonny Siaki this past Wednesday when they brutally put the beatdown on them. Adding insult to injury, Swinger also shredded Diamond's ring robe to pieces. This Wednesday night, Diamond and Siaki get the chance to dish out the pain against Gilberti and Swinger. What all started when Swinger turned his back on Diamond finally boils over in rage this Wednesday night! ALL THIS AND MUCH MORE ON APRIL 21 - INCLUDING AJ STYLES, 3LIVE KRU, THE NEW FRANCHISE, DIRECTOR OF AUTHORITY VINCE RUSSO AND MANY MORE! CHECK BACK FOR NEW MATCHES ADDED! Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Please let Daniels get a spot on Team NWA. Michael Shane has been ok as of late but he's still not high on my list of Team NWA replacements. Is Sabin even going to be able to wrestle by the next X Cup event?

Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Fuck this week's show. Between the RoH situation. Styles 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Fuck this week's show. Between the RoH situation. The fucking HORIBLE X cup a few weeks ago and the FUCKING STUPID Booking as of late I just can't justify ordering the show this week. Fuck it. Well, maybe it has something to do with me being home this weekend to order it, but I'm more hyped for this week than last week. Whenever they have a world title match or a cage match hyped it delivers, and we'll have both this week...

Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 19, 2004 I'm sorry, but there is no way IN HELL that Harris Jarrett will deliver. Not in the sense you're talking about. the match will be average AT BEST. Frankly I don't think two men punching and kicking and doing the most basic moves known to man a "good match" no matter what "old school southern" fans say. The marks may eat it up live, but I wont buy it. Harris doesn't deserve a push. I'd rather see Raven, Abyss, Killings, AJ, Daniels, Lynn or someone who can WRESTLE actually get a shot, not Chris Harris, who get's pushed becuase a few fat, female fans at the Asylum scream for him. It's stupid. EDIT- Damn, I'm not in a good mood today. Sheesh.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 19, 2004 Well...if Daniels is going to be around for the next two weeks, he'll win. Shane has a seperate storyline going on anyway. My question is how they're going to work the X Cup with 4 teams. What I came up with was to keep the same point system (1 for singles win, 2 for tag win, 1 point per elimination in the 8 man match) and have each team choose who will work singles and who will work tag. It would work like this: Team NWA: Jerry Lynn and Chris Sabin will work singles matches against say...Hector Garza from AAA and one of the Japanese guys. Then Skipper and Daniels would work a tag against Hart and Evans from team Canada. Team AAA: Garza would work the singles match against the team NWA guy, Aguila would work singles against one of the other Canadian guys, and then Negro and Heavy Metal would work against 2 Japanese guys. Team Canada: Hart and Evans are working against the NWA team, One of the guys works a singles against team AAA, and the other against Team Japan. Team Japan: Single vs. Canada, Single vs. NWA, Tag vs. AAA. It works out with the same # of matches...4 singles and 2 tags...and everyone has to face each different team once. The card would be something like: Lynn vs. Garza Sabin vs. one of the Japanese guys Aguila vs. Petey Williams Johnny Devine vs. one of the Japanese guys XXX vs. Hart and Evans Negro and Metal vs. 2 of the Japanese guys Then I don't know what to do with the elimination match. Maybe you just have all 4 teams in...since the way to get points is to score the pin or submission for your team...not just to avoid elimination. That would be wild. I don't remember the last world title match they've had that wasn't at least decent. And all of their cage matches have been good too. I don't see why they wouldn't deliver. And I have no idea who will win too, which helps for intigue.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 19, 2004 If they put the title on Chris Fucking Harris I am Done with them. Alienating their core fanbase which is us smarks, smarts, net fanboys what ever, for a few marks at the asylum who will turn on Harris in a hartbeat (anyone remeber the heat they got agianst the supposedly heel Church?) is bullshit. I'm not ordering htis week and if they put the belt on Harris I'm not ordering again.

Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Yes, they're always making it so easy to come up with new ones, aren't they? They have the late-90s WWE Main Events down to a science? I haven't seen one that comes close to the better crowd brawlish ones of the late 90s. It's more like: "Jeff can't wrestle normal matches, so we fill it up with crowd brawling instead." Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 20, 2004 There is NO WAY I'm Anti TNA. I've missed like 3 shows since week four. Trust me I'm one of the biggest TNA marks here. I just don't post much. Anyway, Jarrett should lose the title. But not to Harris. I just don't see any good to come of it. I just can't get Harris as a star. I don't see it. The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Sabin's close to 100%. They're expecting him to be ready for the tapings.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 20, 2004 If Harris get's the belt just to drop to Raven then it's stupid becuase it makes Harris look like the placeholder champ he would be and Raven doesn't get the validation of going over Jarrett. So Raven would seem weaker becuase he can't beat jarrett.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 I don't really care who is the champion though I do feel Raven should have the belt. It isn't really a big factor in me watching TNA. Never have cared for Harris though. I've always though James Storm was better and deserved the push. BoboBrazil=Original hater of Frankie Kazarian and Chris Harris on TSM. It was tough getting people to listen to me those first few weeks of Kazarian hate too
Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 You're still wrong. Forcing wrestlers to work a style that doesn't suit them is TNA's fault, not the worker's. It reminds me of the fucking morons bashing Ace Steele, who's a better worker than just about everyone in TNA.
Styles 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 It reminds me of the fucking morons bashing Ace Steele, who's a better worker than just about everyone in TNA. Kind of like when you were adament about CM Punk bringing in more buys than Sting Ace Steele better worker than anyone in TNA? What about AJ Styles? AJ is now an EXCLUSIVE contracted TNA wrestler that you can watch each and every week LIVE on PPV, you know.
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Steel's TNA work sucked. I've heard good things about his IWA work, and he was okay live in RoH. CM Punk bringing in more buys than Sting isn't a valid claim, although I would rather buy a show featuring Punk than one with Sting. (or Harris) And is it just me, or is the Tag Division in shambles?
Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 Why don't you go find my quote where I said CM Punk is bringing in more buys than Sting? I've said Punk could be a star, and could potentially bring in more buys than Sting, whose effect on shows is pretty much null now. Of course, TNA rejecting his request to do the SE character, and giving the best interview in the country a mouthpiece manager didn't help matters much. And yes, Ace Steele's body of work over the last 3 years smokes AJ's. He was asked to work a dumbed-down, short style for TNA fans that he doesn't excell at, and amazingly, he didn't do well at it. Go check over at Chicagowrestling.com, where he's rated the number 1 worker in the Chicago area by those fans. The guy is fucking tremendous, he's been awesome in NOAH, awesome in IWA:MS, and awesome everywhere he's been given a chance to work singles matches with decent length. Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 20, 2004 I didn't mean to offend you, if those comments were aimed at me. I was just replying to the post above me. And I really can't judge a guy on anything but what I've seen, and what I've seen hasn't been that great. Would you say Steel's work is better than Punk or Hero's stuff?
Michrome 0 Report post Posted April 20, 2004 They weren't aimed at you. And yes, I think Steele is a better worker than Punk. When it comes to Hero, it's real close. Both guys are fucking awesome, but lately I'd probably give the nod to Chris.

I haven't ordered TNA in almost a year due to working nights but I'll be home tonight because I have a wake to go to in a little while. Will the show be worth ordering when I get home or not? Don't listen to the haters! TNA has a consistent pattern of always putting out good shows when they have a hyped world title match, plus its in a cage which always delivers. It's 10 bucks, you haven't watched in a year. Don't like what you see? Wait another year. Give it a shot. I'll be watching on Friday when I'm at home and get the chance, so I'll be avoiding this folder to avoid spoilers until then!
Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted April 21, 2004 Please don't base whether or not you buy on my comments. I'm not buying for reasons of my own. I don't think the show will be good, but many here do. So really it comes down to a crap shoot. If you order, I hope you enjoy the show.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted April 21, 2004 Since I still have to buy more episodes that someons paying me for (damn it), I guess I'll order this at 10 again. Gotta see my Yankees bitches. BTW, do they show anything noteworthy in the pre-show, or is it just a 30 minue Xplosion without matches? I never order the live show incase of technical difficulties.
