Memorable sports fights

Yeah he hits Piazza, runs away, and Piazza chases him down. Oh yeah and the cheap shot after the boxing match where the loser looks like he's going to shake hands but instead NAILS his opponent right in the face. Brutal.

Does anybody have a website for videos of the sport fights? Kazaa hasn't been helping much and I really want to see the Golota/Bowe and some of the hockey (or baseball) clear outs.

Oh and since I rarely watch that many sports- I remember when Mike Piaza (Pizza?) chased down the poor guy and started brawling with him in the dug out.

Was that when the guy intentionally hit Piazza and then ran like a bitch so Piazza wouldn't kick his ass?

Yeah, it was Guillermo Mota.

The Great One vs. Esa Tikkanen.  I have vague memories of this, but I remember it being pretty funny, because, well, it's Gretzky and Tikkanen.  And I don't think any punches were actually thrown, but there was a lot of circling around...

Gretzky also "fought" Neal Broten.

And I want to say Gretzky, as a Ranger, also fought with Kevin Haller. I'm not sure about that.

Other memories:

- 2003 ALCS Game 4

- During a 1997 Rangers-Isles game, Dan Cloutier makes Tommy Salo his bitch many times over

- Izzy Alcantara HBP, kicks catcher square in stomach or chest

Not to nit pick or anything but it was actually Game 3 of the 2003 ALCS. Oh and the Dan Cloutier thing kicked major ass because not only did he just dominate Salo but then he started challanging other players on the Islanders to fight him it was just awesome!!! Yeah I couldn't believe what I saw when he kicked the catcher in the chest it was just unreal!!!

Thanks.

I remember a McCarty/Claude the Fraud fight in 1997 just took place 2 seconds into the game... and another game that year where Osgood and Roy got into it...

i really miss the Avs/Wings blood feud...

I remember a Sox/Yankees game in 1986 when a yankees fan tried to swipe Jim

Rice's cap and Jim went into the stands after him...

In 1985 George Bell karate kicked Bobby Ojeda after he was plunked.

Pedro/Gerbil.

Jerry Sichting and Bill Laimbeer. Robert Parrish and Bill Laimbeer.

I remember a game in 1997 or 98 I think between the Yanks & Orioles. Armando Benitez was relieving and throws the ball at Tino intentionally right in his spine. Benches clear and of all people, GRAHM FUCKING LLOYD is throwing punches at everthing moving. I believe Tim Raines hit a home run as the next batter, which made it sweet.

Also I will also vote for the Mourning/Johnson brawl. Van Gundy trying to restrain Alonzo and just looking like a kid hugging his mothers leg.

Also vote for the Sox/Yanks clash of the...whatevers last year. Don Zimmer has enough balls to try hitting someone 40 years younger than him, and gets side stepped. Pedro should've gotten an ass kicking though for hitting...whoever.

Parish is a bitch. He sucker punched Bill with his back turned and ran like a girl when Lambo turned around. The in interviews went on about "he kicked his ass."

Well, from what I've read and heard, Laimbeer was always a bitch to everyone and being way too physical in games, so he got his comeuppance.

Not like it matters, he was a pretty shitty pitcher.

Anybody else remember Chan Ho Park going for the flying Liu Kang kick on Tim Belcher in the Dodgers-Angels game a few years back? That was gold.

...You have GOT to be kidding me. Anyone know where a pic of this is? Sounds too good to be true.

Thanks to Ced for bringing up the Chan Ho Park DROPKICK OF DEATH on Tim Belcher, and thanks to Rob E Dangerously for supplying the visual. That was one of the funniest things I had ever seen.

Number one sports fight of all time for me is Nolan Ryan headlocking Robin Ventura and giving him a good ol'fashioned Texas whipping. Ventura is never going to be able to live that one down.

It wasn't much of a fight, but Dennis Rodman kicking that photographer in the junk was pretty funny. The guy did a classic kicked-in-the-nuts delayed reaction afterwards, too.

I remember last year Isiah Thomas went after some player but he got stopped by the assistants. Isiah was ready to GO, though, all wild-eyed and everything. Maybe alfdogg remembers...

Don Zimmer VS Pedro Martienz from the ALCS Last Year... Wasn't much of a fight, but the funniest thing is that the guys I was watching the game with, thought it was David Wells running at Martienz first...

Oh, and the bandaid that went from his eyebrow to his nose over the rest of the game...
