Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Didn't the CW Tags and World Tags get unified on the last show for WCW? thus making...Chris Benoit the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT WORLD CRUISERWEIGHT TAG TEAM CHAMPION. No. The two tag titles were never unified. On the final episode of Nitro (the last WCW show which you referred to), Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire retained the WCW Tag Titles over Lance Storm & Mike Awesome, while the Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) won the Cruiserweight Tag Titles from Kid Romeo & Elix Skipper. deancoles 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 didn't MVC hold the WCW/IWGP/US TAG all at once? I know Gordy and Williams had the WCW and NWA tag belts but I'm not sure if they had any belts in Japan at the same time.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 *cough*HHH never held both at the same time*cough* Doesn't matter, he won the other belt. There's no other way around it. Oh yeah, forgot to mention Edge - Intercontinental and US Champion

tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Lance Storm held several titles at once. Yeah Lance Storm held the WCW U.S. Title, Hardcore Title and Crusierweight title all at once. He renamed them all and gave Elix Skipper the Crusierweight title and Carl Oulette the hardcore title.

Mark Henry given the Eruo title Midean given the Euro title Oulette given the WCW Hardcore title HHH given the World title Kanyon (who I think is great) being given the US title And I don't remember Skipper's Cruiser run being anything special. I always thought he had nine: J*Crown: IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title NWA Jr. Heavyweight Title WAR International Jr. Heavyweight Title British Commonwealth Jr. Heavyweight Title NWA Welterweight Title UWA Light Heavyweight Title WWA Jr. Light Heavyweight Title WWF Light Heavyweight Title Then he beat Dean Malenko for the WCW Cruiserweight Title. Was there a tenth?
Papacita 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I haven't seen it listed yet, but Jericho held the Hardcore and Tag Team belts BRIEFLY in 01 when he beat Show (I think) for the belt, then lost it to Rhyno immediately afterwards. Also, 2 Cold Scorpio and the Sandman in 95 ECW. Scorp had the TV, won the tag belts for he and Sandman, then Sandman went on to win the World.

Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted May 17, 2004 While this isn't exactly old school, AJ Styles was both the NWA World Champion and the RoH tag team champion. World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2006 Hulk Hogan held the WWF world title and the Japanese World title at the same time for over a year- He may be the only man of the last 30 or so years to hold two legitimate World titles-not including when the AWA and the UWF were folding and merged with other orgnizations in which Jerry Lawler won. And which Japanese world title was this? Hogan never held the IWGP title or Triple Crown. Kojima held both the IWGP and Triple Crown just last year. I'd say that counts as holding two legitimate world titles. Keiji Muto and Taiyo Kea held both the IWGP Tag titles and AJPW double tag titles at the same time in 2001. Bruce Blank 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 Didn't Hogan win the IWGP tournament one year and that's often said to be the same as Hogan holding the IWGP title for a year.
World's Worst Man 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2006 Yea, he won the first IWGP tournament, which pre-dated the IWGP heavyweight title by 4 years. It's a common misconception that Hogan was the first IWGP heavyweight champion, but the IWGP was only a tournament before the regular championship title was introduced in 1987. FroGG_NeaL 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 When Storm first came to WCW, won all those belts, started Team Canada and cut his "If I could be serious for a moment.." promos he was fucking awesome. One of my favorite things from that era of WCW.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 "It's not his fault that he was the best worker in the company" , "Its not his fault that politics killed the company" , "Its not his fault that everybody has stupid gimmicks" , Lance Storm was awesome back then. Not as great as his classic promo on Shane Douglas from ECW but better than the boring gimmick he was given in WWF. Saskatchewan perhaps? Nope, I was thinking of the Canadaian Bigfoot. JST 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 Nope, I was thinking of the Canadaian Bigfoot. Cute. But the title actually was named after the canadian province.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2006 Lance Storm in WCW: His stable, aside from Awesome, who got lazy in WCW at times, was terrible. Storm was a solid worker. WCW lacked a lot of these. Storm was a terrible mic-worker. He appeared to be average in WCW. I hate to say this, because I think Storm's a really good worker, but his 2000-01 run is very overrated just because he was the proverbial hot new fish in a pond filled with crap.
