Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 Not the monitor itself, physically, the image on the screen is shaking back and forth, fairly slightly but quite noticable. Never heard anything of the sort myself, anybody here have some explanation? It's old and wasn't top of the line when it was new, maybe this starts to happen over the years, I don't know. The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 My old 150 Mhz computer's monitor does that too. I think its just because the monitor is old and dying.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2004 I tightened everything up, it's been ok so far, but it kind of came and went in the first place. A new monitor has been on my shopping list for quite a while, looks like I might have to break down finally. Thanks guys.

IllustriousOne 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 What that's generally (not always) a fault of, is an electromagnetic field being created near/around the monitor itself. When I was in school, I had a little clip fan that I used right next to it, and that's what caused it then. And as has been mentioned... you could just need a new one. Murmuring Beast 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 Do you have a microwave near it?
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 There's nothing around it but the speakers. It hasn't done it since I last posted here, I guess tightening the wires kept it at bay for the time being.
Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted May 1, 2004 How old is your monitor, anyway? Oh, and what brand is it? I'm just asking because I want to know if anyone has an ancient Acer monitor besides me.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted May 2, 2004 Well, it says Panasonic PanaSync C1291 on it. It's like 10 years old or something. My dad gave it to me years ago, along with the rest of his computer, and it was old when he had it. Every other part of the system has since been replaced, but the monitor remains.
