alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 It was said on SC this morning that Francisco Elson of the Denver Nuggets called Kevin Garnett "gay" alleging that Garnett touched his privates during their last playoff game. It was also said that Elson did apologize to the gay and lesbian community, but not to Garnett. This of course adds to the fire in this series with several pull-aparts, Carmelo and Garnett have both said that punches will be thrown in tonight's game. Garnett also said to have extra cops available because "there will be a riot." Now outside of the Rockets/Lakers games and MJ's finale, I haven't taped a regular game in I don't know how long...but I *will* be taping tonight's Wolves/Nuggets game. I wanna see what happens. Discuss.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 They'll walk off and not shake hands. But if Nikoli Tsiisviliilielilhogiog is covering Garnett for no fucking reason in the first quarter...we might be seeing a Jo-Jo in act.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Or have one of those NBA style "fights". You know the one where they swing at each other and miss by 6 inches? Tho the Fox/Christie brawl last preseason was awesome, not only for Fox getting slugged but for Mrs. Christie running in and swinging the purse and Shaq's run-in. Tho the Fox/Christie brawl last preseason was awesome, not only for Fox getting slugged but for Mrs. Christie running in and swinging the purse and Shaq's run-in. I get sick of people saying that. Okay, Alonzo and Larry tried to take each others HEADS off(really if one of those punches landed) and all of a sudden they have weak fights in the NBA. Well, outside of Hockey, I say Basketball is number two in the historic ass kickings followed closely by baseball. When they go...they GO.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Oh I've seen some great basketball fights, namely the Heat-Knicks series, but also I've seen fights like the Kobe-Reggie catfight at Staples a couple of years ago. There is nothing like a Shaq fight however, like the one where he tried to throat punch Eric Montross
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Try and find some Shawn Bradley fights. He gets totally owned in the two I've seen. And about Minny and Denver, I don't think anything is going to happen tonight. Only in the NY-Miami series, could you really tell before a game that a fight was going to break out. Outside of that, whenever you think a fight will occur, it doesn't.

It will be like when Portland beat Utah in the second round in 1999 4-2. Every Blazer running around with their jerseys off dancing on tables, etc. They were swept by San Antonio in the Western Conference Finals.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted April 30, 2004 this thing would be much more interesting if Denver even had a minute chance of winning another game.

bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 so what if he's gay? He's still a better player than any of you putzes on the Nuggets. What they should do is find the most homophobic person on any team, the guy is not going to want to have too much physical contact with Garnett, and have Garnett attack (not literally, I mean on offense, pushing, when you drive in to the basket.... ok that phrase is kind of funny when you think about it in a gay context). ant_7000 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2004 Chris Childs snuffing Kobe is classic. LJ and Zo's fight is my all time favorite because it was 1 second left in the 4th, and they had to fight. Plus, with Van Gundy at bottom grabing Zo's leg was funny. Im definately checking out Wolves-Nuggets tonight.
therealworldschampion 0 Report post Posted May 1, 2004 Oh man that Brown-Ward fight was awesome, I don't know which was better: Brown-Ward with the FU or Zo-LJ with Van Gundy holding on for dear life
