Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I highly doubt that I'll be doing the TNA Lazarush anymore here at TSM. Or anywhere else, for that matter. I'm too pressed for time, and the TNA product in general has become a chore for me to watch after seeing every match resemble one another for so long now. JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Hey, send me $10 a week and I'll do it! Tonight's show could possibly be pretty damn good...guess we'll wait and see if what is good on paper translates to something good in reality.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Since I'm a broke motherfucker, no TNA for me. Cold Turkey. And from the looks of the last few weeks, I chose the best time.
Guest WordLife Report post Posted May 13, 2004 James Storm pins Kid Kash. Afterwards Kash & Dallas give Storm a beat-down and D'Lo makes the "save" but he gets nailed with the pipe. Then Chris Harris and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes make THE save. And now a pretty entertaining match between Monty Brown and BG James, only because it's hardcore, and they're fighting in the crowd, with tables.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 13, 2004 The return of Dusty Rhodes and Road Dogg/Monte Brown in a garbage match? MUST MISS TELEVISION~!
Guest WordLife Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Now Brown gives a conchairto of sorts to James' leg,and now they are in the ring. The Pounce~! 1-2-3 "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown gets the win. Brown starts to do a beat-down to BG,but Killings & Konnan make the save. And now a interview with Desire. Don West does the interview with Desire, who's kids are running around. Desire is talking about her Back injury. And a little comment, lol,"I couldn't take a shower by myself"(during her injury) while talking about the relationship between her and Siaki. Trinity attacks Desire, and Siaki after the long beatdown runs her off. Up next? Amazing Red/Sonjay Dutt II
Guest WordLife Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I like Dusty, only when he's not wrestling. I think TNA has been on a role lately, sorry to see others don't agree.
Guest Donners Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I think they've been excellent for the last few months. Not quite up there with their hot streak of mid-2003, but entertaining nonetheless.
Guest WordLife Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Red evens the score 1-1. Red/Dutt III next week. Konnan is going to get Russo for what he "did" to BG's leg. I smell the way that Konnan leaves TNA for WWE. Next? Michael Shane/Shane Douglas II:Corporal Punishment Match

Astro101 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 That streak was really hot...I believe now judging from the feedbacks (since I can't watch DTV for a while), that the shows are pretty consistent...just not as good.
Guest Donners Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Probably a hell of a lot cheaper to run though, now that they don't have a "guest of the week" like they did back then.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 It's all comparitive. None of these shows are actually great 2 hour shows that I'd love to watch on a regular basis, even if they were free. For ten bucks, no fucking way. If you could take the best 45 minutes of these shows, and put it on TV for free, it may be something I would watch--which is why TNA has a slight sliver of hope on free TV, even if it's extremely miniscule. Guest Donners Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Each to their own. I still enjoy the shows as a whole for the most part, and have paid quite a bit of money to see them.
Guest Donners Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Great - we get a show where there's a chance for a few big debuts and a major announcement, and there's nobody around to update it any more.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 Noone debuted except for Dusty returning. Kanyon was nowhere to be found. The big announcement was the FSN deal.

slimm44 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2004 I was at the show tonight and it was kind of "bleh". The video screen went out right after the 1st match and came back on 30 minutes later which made the entire arena mad. I was hoping Jarrett would return and was dissapointed with the main event match. The Worlds x cup matches are amazing and they made my night. I can't remember who won which match plus I don't want to spoil it. Hopefully next week will be a lot better. It's the last live pay per view until the beginning of June. Guest rhynoreturns Report post Posted May 13, 2004 tremendous f'n news..... I'm beyond happy that TNA has gotten a deal. While obviously they aren't the darlings of the smart marks, they have done a good job in providing an entertaining product on almost a weekly basis for the last 2 years. Sure some weeks are better than others and sure most of us would like to see less JJ, but as someone who has purchased 75 percent of the shows they usually provide a solid product week in week out. Be it Raven, AMW, X-Division, AJ etc, every week some performer shines leaving me satisfied with dropping down the $10. You definately can't say that about SD! currently and, until the Benoit title win, you also definately couldn't say that about Raw. Here's hoping that they stay on free television for a long time. Eh..Raw has been pretty solid in the past few months, and with their main events really kicking ass too, I have to say they are probably a tad better than TNA has been consistently lately. TNA though is head and shoulders better than Smackdown since the draft lottery. With that said, I still feel like I get my money's worth somehow every week during a TNA show, whether it be a particular match or at least some direction that I enjoy. Last nights show was good but theres still those things that make me want to see TNA do more with stuff, just a complete overhaul of in ring product treatment and generally, a more exciting direction. The formulas of the main events lately seem to be more and more full of run-ins, ref bumps, and general chaos and normal, which is diluting the title itself, and at the wrong time with this (assumed) short reign for Styles. It still is producing interesting matchups though, which are good up until the finish starts to form. BUT guys like Raven, Killings, Abyss, and others are being slowly groomed into some really potentially tremedous spots, so it will take time to see if it happens. Sabu v. Raven is a feud that was never done in ECW and might be something. Kash/Dallas v. AMW as well, and I would assume that after next week, Harris moves back to tag teams with Storm. I'd like to see Killings in a more prominant role though, turning heel and feuding with D-Lo. I think that could help both of the guys get over more. Also, the shows have consistently been much better than they were from about October 03 to January or Feb or this year. Mantel had such a bland vision of things, and with Russo seemingly in the fold more in writing (as well as some guys like Disco being taken out of the booking meetings) the shows have more of an important feel to them, and the directions formed are more coherant. There is still room for improvement (I miss the unpredictability factor, although the Styles title win helped that some) but they have made steps forward in the past few months. The rest of the show sans the main event was alright, up and down kind of. Storm and Kash was good, didnt expect Rhodes to come out, so that was a surprise. Didnt get all the 3LK-Russo stuff, but I would think that leads to Konnan probably leaving (WWE), and what I am thinking is that maybe Killings is the one who attacked both James and Konnan and destroying Russo's office (ie heel turn). Brown and James was a slow plodding match that didnt go much of anywhere. They tried hard though, which amounts to something. The Desire stuff was weird, a little too long, but I prefer stuff like this and the Irish Pat Kenney sketch better than their excessive recaps from the weeks before. Don West getting his ass kicked by Trinity was gold. I wonder if they are thinking of turning Siaki heel again? I'd question that, as I think his team with Kenney is ok and he might be able to get far as a face in this role. For once, I'm a Siaki fan, after all these months of hating him. Red and Dutt was better than last week to me, but it was sloppy at spots. Lots more action though, finish kind of came out of nowhere. Still MOTN to me. The battle of the Shanes was weak, I'm just not feeling this feud at all. Hope its over. The feud with Goldilocks and Watts is another weak part of the shows lately, she just bugs me when she talks. Very unconvincing in her role, akin to a porn actress as far as her verbal skills go. X division tag was solid enough, but didnt blow the house down much like it did last week. Lynn v. Rude next week should be interesting. Overall a solid enough show, but still waiting for a few incredibly kick ass shows leading into the TV deal.
