DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2004 Following the Miss SmartMarks Rules, Godfather should indeed by disqualified as it has already won one of these. OT, did the last Miss SM (III? IV?) ever finish? It seemed to fall apart somewhere without any update around round 3, then I never followed to see if it ended. Back on topic... No real order... 1. Ghostbusters 2. Robocop 3. Christmas Vacation 4. South Park: BLU 5/6: Kill Bill 7/8: LOTR TTT/ROTK 9. Iron Monkey (the one "Presented" by Quinten around 2001 or so). 10. Return of the Living Dead III 11/12/13: BTTF Trilogy 14/15/16: Star Wars Trilogy: Good Version. 17. Short Circuit 2 (guilty pleasure) 18. Forrest Gump 19. Star Trek: First Contact 20. Austin Powers 21. Nightmare on Elm Street 22. Spaceballs 23. Robin Hood: Men in Tights 24. Spider-Man 25/26: X-Men/X2. 27. Terminator 2: Judgment Day 28. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure 29. Shrek 30. Aladdin Of course, all those classic movies everyone else already said 40 times as well.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 16, 2004 DrVenkman, if it hadn't been for a few exceptions, I'd've thought that that was a joke list. Choken, what do you mean by "not fully voting"? Something like making it a toss-up between it and another film?

Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted May 16, 2004 Okay, I've decided that The Godfather will be disqualified from this tourney because it won the last one. If you voted for The Godfather, feel free to replace it with another movie. Only the first Godfather movie is disqualified. Part II and Part III are still allowed. Quick reminder- the maximum number of nominations you can make is 32. If you nominate more than 32 movies, only the first 32 will count.

Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted May 18, 2004 I was going to wait a few more hours, but nominations seem to have stopped coming in, so I've decided to move on. A few people nominated more than 32 movies, so I only counted the first 32 movies on their respective lists. The results should be up in a few minutes. In the event of a tie for the final spots, there will be a tie-breaker round. EDIT: nominations have been tallied, and there will be a tie-breaker round. As I stated in the first post, the movies with the most amount of nominations will be entered into the tournament. Over 350 different movies were nominated. Movies that had 3 or less nominations ended up being eliminated, while movies with 5 or more nominations ended up being entered into the tournament. So far, 48 movies have been entered into the tournament. That leaves 16 spots, but 18 different movies had the same amount of nominations (4). I'll start the tie-breaker thread soon. For those who are interested, here are the 48 movies that advanced: 1. Aliens 2. American Beauty 3. American History X 4. Back to the Future 5. Braveheart 6. The Breakfast Club 7. Citizen Kane 8. Clerks 9. A Clockwork Orange 10. Dawn of the Dead (1978) 11. Die Hard 12. Donnie Darko 13. The Evil Dead 14. Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn 15. Fight Club 16. Forrest Gump 17. Ghostbusters 18.
