Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Superman does have some weaknesses with magic, but one good shot and Spidey could be picking out clumps of Dr. Strange out of his teeth for weeks.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 True but Im sure if anyone can get a good shot at magic on Superman before Superman could hit him, then its good old Doc Strange. Maybe if Superman get work fast enough he can take Spidey out of the fight before Strange takes him out, if that were the case it would be Batman & Dr. Strange one on one. Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Batman. He has the advantage as far as hand to hand combat training.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Batman, no doubt in my mind. The Punisher might be a pretty skilled hand to hand combat, but I say even his skills are nothing compared to Batmans.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I bet somewhere Zsasz is reading this and having tears of joy over all the Batman love.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted June 13, 2004 No cheap wins by throwing people in other dimensions should be allowed. Either way this one lies on Batmans head. Superman is the first out thanks to his magic weekness, since Well Dr. Strange is the sorreccor supreme and all. So it pretty much comes down to can Batman beat both Spidey & Strange. Superman kills Spidey first in 00:000000000000000000000000000000000000000001.

Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 I'd have to go with Spider-Man. Slade will take the early advantage but Spidey will persevere.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Damm you know I would love to see a Spider-Man/Teen Titans Crossover just for the off chance that this fight would happen. Of corse if that were the case then Spidy would obvioulsy win. I really dont know who I would pick though.

Of corse if that were the case then Spidy would obvioulsy win. I really dont know who I would pick though. That would be cool. I would like to see Spidey/Outsiders only because I like Spidey as an adult. He's much more well grounded as a grown up.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Funny, thats pretty much the same reason why people liked him more as a teenager because he wasnt as well grounded....me...I can go either way.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2004 I guess as a kid I just wanted to be more of an adult. Reading about Peter's job problems and personal life was much more interesting that your usual high school drama which I had to deal with. Now I guess I relate more to Spidey. Special K 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2004 Actually a Punisher/Batman fight could be great, dramatically. Batman absolutely has him beat in just about every way, unless we're talking big pun sniping bats with a rifle while he's recouping at home.(which he'd never do.) But Punisher is the one character who exemplifies fighting wounded and toughing it out as much as Batman. It'd be a long, bloody fight, with Pun keeping coming after Bats until he was absolutely comatose. Bats would probably see a little bit of himslef in Punsiher as well. Also, am I the only one who thinks Spider-man has bats dead to rights? There's no fanboyism here, since I love both characters, But Spidey just matches up REALLY well against Bats, IMO. Don't let Mr Zaaz see that post. Spidey can take Batman. He's got the intelligence, spider sense, strength, agility, heart and most of all a prowrestling background! Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Well Spidey is my fav hero but for some reason Im thinking Batman can take him. I don't see it. As much as I like both characters, I think Spider-Man wins this one. With Superman, Batman has known weaknesses to exploit, plus the fact that he's smarter. Peter Parker is a genius, so there's no real advantage there. Obviously, Spider-Man has it all over Batman in terms of physical elements, and I think that would be the deciding factor. But if you gave Bruce Wayne proper time and knowledge, I think it would be a damn good bout.
Steviekick 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Spidey can also use his annoying banter to subdue Bats if he has to. Spidey's emotional baggage > Bat's emotional baggage
Special K 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 The Spider-senses are, of course, the difference-maker. Not only does it give him an edge in a physical fight, any trap Bats has to spring, spidey's going to have a good chance of dodging.

Hes the greatest dectective ever, and I would have to think that the long the fight goes on the more it leans in Batmans favor, Bats learns as he goes at a crazy fast pace, It wont take him long to figure out Spideys weakness and exploit any and all of them to his favor. I'd still have to think that Bats has this one in the bag.
Guest KingofHarts Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Spidey can also use his annoying banter to subdue Bats if he has to. Isn't this the same thing the Joker does on a daily basis? It doesn't work for him so why would it work for Spidey? I say Bat's beats his ass (which by the way he already did when Ra's Al Goul teamed with the Kingpin in a crossover)

I say Bat's beats his ass (which by the way he already did when Ra's Al Goul teamed with the Kingpin in a crossover) But Spiderman's ahead of the Joker in intelligence and has not completely gone over the deep end so the physcological banter of Spiderman will confuse Batman more because he's just not used to it. It's coming from a different person. Other enimies of Batman like Clayface also have this problem as well. Crossovers don't mean anything. Batman's always been the HHH of the comic world anyway. Batman's not allowed to lose even though logically against a lot of opponents he would simply because a lot of people would pick his opponents when given a choice between Batman and whoever because Batman doesn't have any superpowers. That's where a lot of Batman's appeal comes from. Fairy tales don't mean anything when it comes to a real life battle boys. Spiderman takes the cake here. Guest PlatinumBoy Report post Posted June 21, 2004 How about Dr. Strange vs. John Constantine (Hell Blazer)? Long time Lurker--first post here...... here goes! Constantine goes down hard. REAL HARD. I haven't read any recent Constantine apperances, but based on what I know of him from Moore's version, and the trailer to the movie, he's a pretty low level mage (cool character though), but Dr. Strange is Uber-strong. Also, this ties into another question Masked Man of Mystery asked--DBZ people vs Marvel and DC types. This may get some DBZ fans mad, but they would get easily defeated by the right team. Why? DBZ heroes all basically are the same character at different power levels with a few tweaks in powers (Goku can teleport, Piccolo can regenerate, etc.). All super fast, super strong, with high energy production. Marvel and DC have variety, which DBZ doesn't have. Also, DBZ warriors have never faced a telepath or magic user worth a hill of beans--Chaozu is a HORRID telepath, and Babadi is just as bad at magic (Janeba--spelling? might count as a decent wizard--but he never really used magic to attack Goku and Vegeta head on). Also, the DBZ heroes (this doesn't apply to Freeza) can't survive in space. To prove my point, take this match up: Marvel vs DBZ--no one higher than herald, since you could just make this no fun and say "Living Tribunal OWNS DBZ!!!!" 7 on 7, Marvel as currently portrayed, DBZ people at levels post Buu fight. Wolverine, Nova, Spiderman, Captain America, Rogue, Cyclops, Crystal vs Piccolo, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Goten, Trunks, and Tien. The DBZ people win in a curbstomp, but switch the 7 Marvel guys around and take: Silver Surfer, Adam Warlock (with Soul Gem), Dr. Strange, Vision, Pheonix, Scarlet Witch, and Ghost Rider aganist the same DBZ 7, and the Marvel guys would take it soley because the Z-Senshi have never seen anyone close to these Marvel people with their varied powers before. Warlock's Gem would do stuff to the Z warriors they couldn't combat, Surfer can heal and is faster and (I'd say) Physically stronger than the Z warriors, Strange's magic and teleporting and such would take them out good, Vision--Goku and the like start off slow, they wouldn't sense any chi from him since he's an andriod, he'd phase out while a Z warrior kept flying through him, then while Gohan or whoever wondered what the problem is they would get a diamond hard hand through the heart, Pheonix is a great telepath and can go into space, and the last two because I would love to see how the hexes effect DBZ people--and I'd REALLY love to see how Ghost Rider's Penance Stare harms Vegeta, I'd figure with all the people he's killed he'd break down really bad. Also, seeing as how Dabura's flame could hurt Gohan at this time period (pre-Mystic though)--Invisible Woman could always make Human Torch invisible and have him fly right into the middle of the brawl and have him go Nova. Some other Marvel people who could do good aganist the DBZ crew: Hulk, Bishop, Cable, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, Black Bolt, Fabian Cortez, Magneto, High Evolutionary, Apocalypse, Thor, Loki, Namor if it's underwater, for a possible one shot kill with other's helping him--Wolverine, a full powered Drax, Thanos (duh), Firelord, Professor X, Exodus, classic Juggernaut, Moon Dragon, Quasar, Sersi, Mandarin, White Queen, X-Man (Nate Gray), Goblin Queen, etc.
