Sweet. I'm going again. They were sicker than hell on the last jager tour. Fantasize about opening acts..it'll be newer bands, with maybe one token retro group. No one bigger than Slayer, lots of thrashy-chuggy: Lamb of God, probably..or God Forbid. They're both touring hard. KSE has a recent release. I'm pretty sure all three of them have done a jager tour, too. I'd get erect briefly if they had Morbid Angel on there. Knowing my luck, it'll be something rather lame like a new Pantera mitosis sub-group, or worse yet, both of them.

this is what i got from blabbermouth.net

SLAYER will be headlining the fall 2004 installment of the Jägermeister Music Tour, according to Billboard magazine. No further information is currently available.

SLAYER are currently in the studio recording their first album with the original lineup since 1990's "Seasons In the Abyss". A late 2004 release through American Recordings is expected. The band will be kicking off a short Canadian tour with DAMAGEPLAN in early June, to be followed by a main-stage appearance at this year's Ozzfest beginning on July 10 in Hartford, Connecticut.

Slayer, Lamb of God, and God Forbid are all playing Ozzfest this year also...

This is a great year for metal, especially with Black Sabbath confirmed for Ozzfest.

If Slayer tours with Damageplan and Superjoint, I'm NOT going. I've decided.

and Judas Priest, Black Label Society :D

Well if you want to go that far...

OZZFEST 2004-

MAIN STAGE:

Black Sabbath

Slayer

Judas Priest

Dimmu Borgir

Black Label Society

SECOND STAGE:

Slipknot (Ha! Regulated to the second stage...)

Lamb of God

Lacuna Coil

God Forbid

Atreyu

Bleeding Through

I swear if I knew anyone around here that was into metal I'd work my ass off to get into the pit. I'll probably go alone though, and enjoy the reserved seating. All the fucking headbanging is going to kill me the next day.

Anyone feel free to correct me, those are the bands I remember off the top of my head, I'm sure there's more much.

Sure they would, if everyone was all "OMG PANTERA REUNION, THAT'D BE FUCKIN' BAD!" the tour would sell like a bastard, especially with Slayer headlining.

Edit: Dimebag couldn't kill anyone. The guy's about as big as Dio. Rex the wily hilljack would hand Dime's ass to him.

and Converge. Got to have the hardcore contingent.

Fantastic metalcore but more hardcore than metal band. Jane Doe is quite some whip-ass. They've been around a while, too.

whoa I just found out that Slayer will be here in Sacramento between Ozzfest dates. July 30th......HELL YEAH~! So if we also get a Jager tour stop, I will be seeing Slayer two times this year~!

Slayer, Lamb of God, Strapping Young Lad. If that were to be the next Jager tour, I'd kill my own mother for tickets.

Now that'd be a fucking SHOW. Lamb of God is pretty fucking cool, but Slayer and SYL on the same bill? I'd be in metal Heaven.
