Scroby Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Chris Beniot is 37 today, happy birthday to him.
haVoc Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 It's obvious Benoit is getting old and is past his prime so he should job the title to a member of the younger generation like Triple H.
Guest Jimbo Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 37, eh? I wonder how much longer Benoit will continue with the WWE...
Guest Loss Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Considering how long wrestlers usually go before retiring, I'd say 20 more years, unless he drops dead.
Papacita Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Damn. I had no clue Chris was that old. How old is Eddie?
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Eddie is, or will be, 36. He was born in 1968. If you looked closely on SD, you could see some gray creeping into his facial hair.
Guest croweater Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Chris Beniot is 37 today, happy birthday to him. FOOL GOD IS INFINITE!!!!!!
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 It's obvious Benoit is getting old and is past his prime so he should job the title to a member of the younger generation like Triple H. I agree. And if not Triple H, what about the new guy on Smackdown? I think his name is The Undertaker.......
Guest OraleHolmes Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Eh, Bret Hart was 37 in 1992-1993. Benoit has at least 4-5 great years ahead of him, if Hart is any indication. Oh, and don't forget, Flair didn't reach his prime until age 41 in his series with Steamboat, so you never know...
Guest Jimbo Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Yeah, but Bret and Flair didn't screw up their necks, did they?
Guest Loss Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Benoit will always be great, but his prime ended in 1997 or so.

You look that closely? Chris Benoit at 37, is still one of the best North American wrestlers around, but his prime was ages ago. Still a great wrestler and one of the best ever IMO.
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Well, he did have promo time in the beginning, so the camera was up in his face. Wasn't to hard to make out lighter colored hairs.
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 My God, Benoit is 37. Give the belt to HHH
Mole Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Eh, Bret Hart was 37 in 1992-1993. Benoit has at least 4-5 great years ahead of him, if Hart is any indication. Oh, and don't forget, Flair didn't reach his prime until age 41 in his series with Steamboat, so you never know... No no, wrong. See wrestlers reach their prime when they turn 33, after that it goes away.

I don't think I've ever had the pleasure to properly read it.
landy1987 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 just wondering but how old are Triple H, the Undertaker, Rikishi and Booker T? Oh and Sable!
tbondrage99 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Bla 37 means nothing to Benoit, hes still got as many years left as he wants.
Guest Loss Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 HHH - 33 Undertaker - 42 Rikishi - 37 Booker T - 38 Not sure on Booker, but I'm 100% sure on the others.
Guest Metallica Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Eh, Bret Hart was 37 in 1992-1993. Benoit has at least 4-5 great years ahead of him, if Hart is any indication. That can't be right, in the wrestling with shadows documentary, Bret tells a woman that he just turned 40. No way was he 37 in 1992.
The Tino Standard Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Who gives a shit how old somebody is? If they can work, they can work. And besides, an older, mediocre Benoit is still better than 95% of the WWE roster. Anyhoo, happy birthday, Champ.
Guest Cheech Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 I'd say Benoit has maybe 5 years left as a real wrestler unless something bad happens. But at 37 he is still god, past his prime or not. And Bret was 35 when he won his first WWF Championship in 1992.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Bret Hart was born in 1958. You geniuses got Benoit's birthday wrong anyway. It was on FRIDAY. http://www.wrestlinginformer.net/chris_benoit.htm
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 For someone way past his prime, Bret Hart pretty much carried WWE on his back during the dark days of 1993-1996 in the work-rate department. I'm surprised Flair can still go, considering his "career ending" broken back from 1975. 30 years of taking bumps HAS to do some damage to something that was severely damaged already.
Downhome Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Who gives a shit how old somebody is? If they can work, they can work. That reminds me of a thread that I started here a long time ago, two years ago maybe. I was asking the exact same question to people, and had the same opinion as you. EDIT: It wasn't even a year ago, wow. Here is the thread if you care. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=33239

Shanghai Kid Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 For someone way past his prime, Bret Hart pretty much carried WWE on his back during the dark days of 1993-1996 in the work-rate department. Along with Shawn Micheals.
Guest Loss Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Bret wasn't past his prime from 1993-1997. It was the peak of his career.
humongous2002 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 37? Let Benoit job the title to that young buck HBK.
