Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Marge has had more than enough memorable things happen that there's no reason to hate her. .....I can't think of a SINGLE line that she's said that was funny, and the episodes she's the main focus in are either good because of another character, or outright sucked. (Roided Marge anyone?)
tpww7 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Are you sure Marvin? http://www.fye.com/catalog/moviesProduct.j...itemId=10977384
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Marvin is without a doubt 100% sure. It could be a in store only sale, but the $14.99 sale is real.
Guest Askewniverse Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I went to FYE earlier today and I can confirm that the $14.99 sale is real. They had a huge banner advertising the sale.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Damn me for buying Season 2 & 3 for $35 back when they first came out. I guess I can't wait for big sales to get them.

I just bought seasons 1,2 and 3 at the Wherehouse for $14.99 each as well. The sell runs through Wednesday.
Guest mesepher Report post Posted June 14, 2004 I was debating waiting at Wal Mart at midnight on Monday evening to pick up Season 4 and then watch a few episodes before bed, but since I must be at work at 7am, I think I'm going to pick up the set before work and watch it when I get home. Can't wait~!
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 Can anyone confirm a $5 rebate on the season 1,2 and 3 sets? While you cant use the link to the rebate that Im giving you to get your rebate, it does prove that theres a rebate and gives you an idea of what to look for. However, if you haven't bought your sets today, tomorrow would probably be the last possible day to do it since from what I hear, although most of the stores had a lot of the sets in stock, they are selling pretty fast. DerangedHermit 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 I got the three DVD's just now from Coconuts, $48 total for all of them combined. They had quite a few in stock. (And I got the rebate card, too).
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 Damn me for buying Season 2 & 3 for $35 back when they first came out. I guess I can't wait for big sales to get them. Honestly, I'd rather pay more to get them as soon as I can instead of waiting two years on a good deal for the sets. I wouldn't even wait a year for the price drop on a season. That's ridiculous. If you actually like the show, price shouldn't matter. I bought Season 1 the week it came out and Seasons 2 and 3 the day they came out and have no regrets. Season 4 will be no exception, as I'll be there when Best Buy opens to ensure my pick of the Season 4 sets.

treble 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2004 Just got mine, but I'm going to have to return it tomorrow. The thing with the episodes on the back just fell off when I opened it up. I'll watch some tonight, though, since I've been waiting for almost a year for these to come out.

treble 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2004 Yeah, I noticed that after I returned it. There was another problem with the box, too, though, so it needed to be returned, anyway.

Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 18, 2004 I just watched Marge vs The Mono-Rail for the first time in forever. I had forgotten how good this episode is. *Marge screams after opening the Fire Extinguisher cabinet* Marge: Homer, there's a family of possums living in there! Homer: I call the big one "Bitey" Marge: Homer, I've brought somebody who thinks he can help! Homer: Batman? Marge: No, he's a scientist Homer: Batman was a scientist Marge: Its not Batman! Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted June 18, 2004 Didn't Marge also have one of those things where she recalled several peoples thoughts, and she thought of Homer saying "I call the big one bitey"? I would retract my statement on MArge no sucking, but those 2 exchanges were all Homer.

"I call the big one Bitey." "I've sold monorails to Brockway, Ogdenville, and North Haverbrook!" "Is there a chance the track could bend?" "I call the big one Bitey." Oh my God, I look at Season 4's episodes and these are gold. This is what I grew up with...in reruns. "Is there a chance the track could bend?" Not on your life, my Hindu friend. "What about us lazy slobs?" You'll be given cushy jobs! "Monorail," WHAT'S IT CALLED? "Monorail..." SING IT AGAIN! MONORAIL!!!!!!!!!!! Mono...D'OH!
NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2004 Marge vs. The Monorail was definately a high point in the series, probably the best Musical scene ever in the series. I also really like the Burlesque Parlor shindig, but I totally forgot what season that was..... After work today, I am stopping at Frys on the way home to pick up Simpsons season 4 & Curb your enthusiasm....... wait a sec......."after work TODAY" shit it is 2:30am and I need to be at work at 8:30am.......why am I online? Why did I just drink another beer? Ah fuck it, it's FRIDAY~!

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2004 It's a shame Conan only does 2 commentaries as he was pretty funny. I got pretty mad when he didn't seem to be in the monorail commentary despite the episode booklet saying he was, but then I remembered there was probably a hidden audio track and found it.
