The many things you all have taught me in the two years that I've been posting here have proven invaluable. I thank you for them all.

I have learned that there is no place like home. I've also learned that every time a bell rings, an angel gets it's wings. And I've learned all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I've also learned you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Don't count your chickens before they're hatched. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Abscence makes the heart grow fonder. Practice what you preach.

Oh, I've learned lots of things! Let's see...

An object in motion will be moving in the wrong direction. An object at rest will be in the wrong place. The energy requried to move an object in the correct direction or put it in the right place will be more than you wish to expend but not so much as to make the task impossible. I've also learned that the perversity of the universe tends towards the maximum. I also know it is impossible for any device that operates on a cycle to receive heat from a single reservoir and produce inert amount of work. I also know that no good deed goes unpunished. Ninety percent of everything is crud. Anything that can go wrong will. And never attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by stupidity. Also, if there are two or more ways of doing something, and one of those ways can result in a catastrophe, then someone will do it.

But most of all, what I have learned from all of this, my friends, is: No matter what happens, no matter what life throws at you, you must ALWAYS remain cynical.

Three cheers for TSM!

Quite frankly, however, I consider my time at the board to be marginally useful, considering that more often than not, I'd be doing something less productive if not posting. Therefore, it's been a mostly positive experience here except for MikeSC attacking me for no reason at all.

So, Ripper happens to be black?

I find that hard to believe. Next thing I know, you'll say you're female or something...

I taught you all that Gnomes are for more than decoration.

I think my favorite was when you said that you rolled a ball into the yard from the side of the house and when they looked there were two gnomes sitting around the side.

That might be the greatest prank ever.

Maybe.
