Scroby 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 Okay, so was Vince not at Smackdown at all or just not at the press conference? According to Prowrestling.com Vince wasn't at Smackdown at all, he was at the Summerslam Press Conference in Canada. So that could be the reasons for what happen with Smackdown. According to Prowrestling.com Vince wasn't at Smackdown at all, he was at the Summerslam Press Conference in Canada. So that could be the reasons for what happen with Smackdown. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted June 4, 2004 - Rob Van Dam was not on Smackdown this week due to his segment being bumped. The agents, mainly Arn Anderson, pushed for Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly to get the TV time over RVD. Arn apparently feels that Gunn and Holly get great pops from the crowd. Vince McMahon was not at the show since he was at the Summerslam press conference. In other news Arn Anderson is apparently deaf now.......and will fight in a ladder match............ credit:DaMeltz
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted June 4, 2004 I hope RVD leaves. His matches have become so generic since being in the WWE. He could easily steer viewers to TNA. Yes, that would be so cool. Then I'd have to pay more to see him on other PPV's every month, or set the timer to watch the show Tuesdays at 2:30 in New York, from what i understand. (what a freaking retarted time slot...) niko

humongous2002 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 "Either that, or they're just trying to make him so pissed he won't sign another contract." Can't they just, you know, not offer him a new contract? Okay, so was Vince not at Smackdown at all or just not at the press conference? The thing is WWE knows that RVD makes money for them and could be use to get other (OVW) wrestlers over that's why they want him to sign the new contract, the same contract he might not sign if that alcoholic/drugaddict double A keeps on fucking around with him. I can't be the only one who thinks its funny for a RVD supporter to blast someone for being a drug addict.

Slingshot Suplex 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 The sad part is..... if Van Dam ends up going to TNA, he'd probably end up being JJJ's personal job boy and have to pick splinters out of his head on a regular basis from all the guitar shots he'd be taking. Hey don't get me wrong, I got nothing against drugaddicts but it seems that Arn's (former?)drug abuse is affecting his judgement here.

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2004 What's the problem with the cruiserweight division going? It's not like the Cruisers are even divided, as the word would suggest. If it were a true 'division', the Cruisers would never face anyone above the weight limit. Which they do. Getting rid of the division just gets rid of the belt. Besides that, it's not like anyone will be able to notice the difference.

Unless he was doing some drug that fucked up his hearing, I don't think that it would have caused his inability to hear a pop from the crowd. Plus, I thought that Arn's problems were more of the painkiller variety (plus probably blow in the 1980s, but everyone was on coke back then)

I'm not certain, but Vince was likely doing his Off The Record interview on TSN when the show was going on. He figured that the ship wouldn't sink so no need to rush or adjust the schedule to allow him to be there.
Guest Dazed Report post Posted June 4, 2004 I have a really hard time calling someone (RVD) an addict when they only smoke weed. Depends if he's addicted to it or not, really. People can be addicted to the most inane things, from heroin to masturbation.
