Bradshaw Causes Incident At House Show

Why am I not surprised that you'd find the likes of him to be "right"...

Guess this is why they REALLY don't allow cameras at these events. Still, that isn't the same instance as the picture that a couple of people had in their sigs, which had him in the ring.

I thought it was hilarious on Smackdown (just watched the tape today) when they would cut off news reports of his firing right before they said why he got dumped.

Does WWE use smaller rings for house shows or something? That looked like a WCW sized ring.

I guess JBL continued doing it when he came into the ring. During that clip only a couple of front row people stood up and flipped him off, but the crowd probably got more and more mad as he went on.

I thought it was funny that JBL started doing the Hogan ear cupping thing too. Now that's offensive!

I find it funny that Booker T seemingly gets a free pass out of this, when by looking at the video, you can see Booker doing what looks like is another familiar Nazi salute, the open palm wave.

Looks to me like Book was just celebrating after connecting with the kick.

As Lance Storm points out in his recent Q & A, this thing happened FREQUENTLY with Otto Wanz' promotion. Heels doing Nazi things to incite the fans isn't something JBL invented. Heck, Storm assumed he did it because he saw how effective it was when he worked for Otto.

This is simply a case of a guy who the net has decided is Satan being reamed out over something insanely trivial.

What kick? The video I saw had Book with a hand in the hair while standing on top of a wrestler.

It looked like what Booker T always does when he hits a move. The thing where he has the blank stare and just stays in the same position for a few seconds. You can actually see him turn around and his face changes when he sees Bradshaw. Then he tries to pretend like he didn't see it and continue with another move.

How the heck can you even see his face. The clip is from so far away. He's just doing a knee drop. He doesn't seem to react at all to Bradshaw. I don't even know if he realized what he had done. He didn't seem to.

You can see Book hit the jumping side kick in the beginning of this clip (the same one posted above).

I watched that vid and can't tell what Book did other than his normal hand gesture after hitting his moves.

of Course JBL's steppin was pretty clear, but you can tell after he did it he did the Hogan cup to his ear to see how much attention he got. So yeah definately was a dumb ass stunt to get booes and thats all.

Yeah, it's basically the same gesture he makes in most of his matches after hitting the Side Kick, or even just a chop.

It seemed like a weird time for JBL to do it.

Otto who? Did this Otto Wanz fellow have a multi-national public corporation, or a mere wrestling promotion? Therein is the difference. Bush-league shit is bush-league shit. This is a case of someone in a high profile position in the biggest wrestling company in history doing something blatantly offensive and has gotten people in the country into legal trouble before. The internet didn't decide he was Satan, his own actions, backstage demeanor, shitty ringwork, undeserved pushes, and obnoxious attitude towards us, the internet fans, the most devoted fans that put their asses in those seats, buy WWE merchandise, and pay his salary.

A large wrestling promotion that dominated Austria and Germany, if memory serves.

Except Otto Wanz' promotion had a heel who did it ROUTINELY and never got in trouble for it.

I will remind you that we're discussing PRO WRESTLING. There is precious little that one CAN'T be offended by.

The internet didn't decide he was Satan, his own actions, backstage demeanor, shitty ringwork, undeserved pushes, and obnoxious attitude towards us, the internet fans, the most devoted fans that put their asses in those seats, buy WWE merchandise, and pay his salary.

What actions? What did he do to YOU?

Backstage demeanor? Oooh, that wouldn't be IWC bitching, would it?

Shitty ringwork? True, he's not good.

Undeserved pushes? Hell, I think he's been a rather good heel here.

Obnoxious attitudes towards us? Considering that you believe sources like the Torch for his behavior backstage, I wouldn't think highly of you, either. And he expressed, quite clearly, who he was referring to.

You're mad because, for whatever reason, you PERSONALLY hate the guy. If, say, Eddy Guerrero did it when he was a heel --- you wouldn't give two shits.

Not liking him has nothing to do with it. I'd be just as bothered by it if it was Bret Hart who's my favorite wrestler of all time.

And Otto Wanz was from a completely different era, with a completely different background from Bradshaw. It's comparing apples and oranges.

He's right.

Had anyone else done this it wouldn't have been a big deal.

If anyone else did this it might have been worse a deal. Think if someone we liked did it we would probably be more mad than we are. With Bradshaw we're mocking the hell out of this, but with someone else we'd probably be pissed off...and then we'd mock it.

Exactly. If it was someone I respected I'd be far more bothered.

Reading Storm's column --- Bradshaw worked for Wanz' company and saw the guy doing it.

And not liking him has everything to do with it. Did anybody call for Eddy to be fired when he went after a fan?

A lot of people did, yes. Bradshaw isn't doing a good job as a heel. It's "get off of my television" heat, not "I want to see him get beat" heat. It's not just the Torch saying he's an asshole backstage, it's just about every source that exists, including wrestlers themselves. You won't hear anything negative from a contracted WWE performer though, because it'd endanger their jobs.
