Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 11, 2004 It seems to just be a name Nike uses. The only difference I've seen is that Swingman jerseys are two inches longer than regular replicas. I'd assume it was done for fashion, so they can drape down better and not end at your belt like regular replicas. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the sleeves. If someone told me they'd buy me any NBA jersey, I'd probably get Pistol Pete Maravich.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 I think he's tlaking about how the sleeves of say, a Bulls jersey, are different than the Mavericks or Pistons which are more like t-shirts with the sleeves cut off. Or not? I don't know what a Swingman jersey is, but I feel it might be a worthy addition to the "Tip Drill" TSM Basketball Dictionary. I'd get Jordan or Stockton's white home uniform. Nike at one time had a contract with some teams - Lakers, Mavs and Raptors among them. Presumably they still do for some colleges, but the point is that they redesigned the "shape" of the jerseys to look more like a "muscle shirt". Reebok now has an "exclusive" contract for the pro jerseys, and have tried to retain the styles that the teams had previously. This doesn't account for teams like the Rockets and Pistons which just came out with new jerseys.

Drury37 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2004 I would probably buy a Troy Murphy Golden State Warriors throwback jersey the one's that say "The City" on them or a John Starks New York Knicks old somewhat original look jersey since I already have both Starks away jerseys. Thanks.
