Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 16, 2004 Don't forget to make it look like a suicide. You only have to do that when you kill a person that matters.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 16, 2004 On second thought, hypothetically speaking, it would be poetic justice if CWM was murdered and the murderer left behind a Lawn Gnome with blood on its hands.

Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 16, 2004 Xtatic is the guy who "tyPeD lIkE tHiS" right? And he wasn't banned yet? Yes and No. And several of those posters are gimmick posters.hich we aren't allowed to do anymore. If good gimmicks are banned then shit ones should be banned too. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 16, 2004 I don't see the problem. It's not like the moderators are wiping quarts of sweat off of our brow to delete the tards.. Whatever, We wouldn't expect you to do your job AoO Most of them are either gimmick posters (EugeneMark, InnerPunkness), or someone like Gearhead who's spammed, and posted alot of topics that had already been posted, and contributes. Spiff: I might be wrong about Slacket, I just remember when he first started posting he was pretty awful, he may have improved. This is all just my personal opinion. I'm not going to get all worked up about it. I just see a bunch of posters that take away from the board and that's all. None of them are of Johnson-Brain levels which is nice. Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Whatever, We wouldn't expect you to do your job AoO He's doing his job. The point is that the staff isn't collectively champing at the bit to ban people who seem like harmless idiots simply because you've flip-flopped on the idea of reopening registrations. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 17, 2004 This from the people who were all gung ho to fix the wwe folder a few months ago. I'm not saying all of them deserve to be banned. But some of them are gimmick posters...remember you're the one who said we couldn't do that anymore. It's not a "Flip-Flop" either. I thought that opening registrations again would foster better discussions. But the main effect seems to have been allowing PBP's, and gimmicks back in. I'm not saying go all ban happy or anything but you could at least make an effort to seem like you care about the messageboard. I know the site is your top priority and I can understand that too but it's annoying that some posters do the exact same things that other (CJ for example) people were banned for. Commence with making me looking like an idiot who cares too much, All I want is to see TSM be a fun place to come where you can find intelligent posters and conversations. Not people who imitate Eugene, Post Fake News, Spam folders, etc.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 17, 2004 I could be wrong but I think the main sentiment let on by CWM is that the new people who don't contribute anything positive at all and for the most part annoy everybody should be banned. I mean lets face it, 1 out of 3 people most likely are going to be the type that trolls, derails convo, and just blatantly does stupid things. The main example for this would be OraleHolmes. This person has contributed nothing positively but has started ridiculous topics such as This topic which was placed in the sports forum. Later on he admits to making the topic just as a way of mocking himself and other Lakers fans, but was it really needed at all? I have to say that when it comes to the sports forum its the best around, and has gotten even better since AngleSault decided to look and see that bitching about every minor thing wasn't the way to go. This certainly isn't a topic I want to bother with in there. Then there are all of the LSD threads the person has started. Each subject while maybe funny for 5minutes was a waste and absolutely idiotic. You can tell from what the person places that most of it is all made-up. Is the board better with this person or worse? If you read the threads you'll see it would clearly be better without. I think alot of mods fear the backlash of banning somebody who's popular and well liked, as there would be backlash. In the case of some of these posters where they do nothing but annoy people you have to ban them. Letting them stay doesn't help a thing and you'll be praised for taking them out(like when OJ Hart was taken out). In the end don't close registrations because those 2 out of 3 people that can contribute positively will be missed...but don't let that one person stay and disrupt everything. Being stupid to the point of annoying everybody is a good enough bannable offense, nobody will lash out at you for saving us from wandering stupidity. Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Here's another Example, Glennsoe. Here's a bunch of threads he started that were either Fake News, Already Posted, or plain useless. And this was done by just clicking on anything thadt looked dumb. #1 Fake News Fake News He's a gimmick poster...he must be Wrong Forum, and the topic is already made Small News that could have been made into one lager thread. thread already exists Useless topic Makes the same thread in two different folders
Guest JacK Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Now this was fake news. They moved it to HD from the WWE folder for some reason, but hey. And who are all these people . . . CJ, Brain etc . . . whadid they do?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Breifly? Brain is the most famous troll we ever had. He must have had at least 20 different accounts. He's sign up and start posting and then "reveal" that it was him all along as if it was a huge shock even though everyone knew it was him all along. CJ is one of the co-owners of SNKT. He was banned for being a total prick to Stardust. CJ's been a member of the Smarks community for a long time. At least back to the yellow board. I strongly doubt he even wants to be unbanned though since his TSM flaming is one of his hallmarks.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Brain is the most famous troll we ever had. He must have had at least 20 different accounts. He's sign up and start posting and then "reveal" that it was him all along as if it was a huge shock even though everyone knew it was him all along. When was Brain around? I don't remember his actual tenure but that Heenan head makes me giggle. I thought the most famous trolls were Prince Paul and BERG. It's gotta be Prince Paul.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Paul was nowhere near as bad as Brain was, not even close. Brain was '02 though he showed up in '03 as well. In fact He claimed to be Johnson1620 last time he showed up. The Mysterious One did a two part Article on the DDT Invasion which has more information on Brain and other Trolls from that era. A quick search of HD will find them.
Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 There was more than one poster under the mantle of Prince Paul, making him seem more formidable than in reality.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Indeed. In some respects the real Paul got a bum rap.
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Already having seen Brain around 3 times during my brief tenure its quite easy to pick up on who he is since he has habits that he doesn't change. I don't just mean the signature that uses the giant Heenan head either.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 Indeed. In some respects the real Paul got a bum rap. I liked The New Me. And I always wondered about the possible multiplicity of Prince Paul...it could easily be done, having many people do that. But the irony of Eagan calling out every new poster that was one of Prince Paul's stockpiled user accounts only to be banned and be called out for HIS stockpiled user accounts is too poetic for a message board. BERG was a pretty big troll in my opinion...he started "Wahhhh.....we need West Coast Mods!" when he flooded all the forums with spam. What a mess THAT was. IllustriousOne 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 CJ is one of the co-owners of SNKT. He was banned for being a total prick to Stardust. CJ's been a member of the Smarks community for a long time. At least back to the yellow board. I strongly doubt he even wants to be unbanned though since his TSM flaming is one of his hallmarks. CJ (and me, and a slew of all of the other old schoolers) have been around since the Delphi board (Rantsylvania) and were pretty much responsible for that 'ol Smarksboard exodus that happened about four years ago now. He WAS banned unfairly, but you're probably right about him not wanting to come back.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2004 I've seen worse in the CE folder that people weren't banned for. But if CJ doesn't want back in, okay. Probably for the best anyway, some TSMness might get into his bloodstream and dumb him down after an errant click on the WWE or HD folders. Or any thread where -iB- has posted.
