Black Lushus Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Layne Staley, minus the never ending drug habit (take note Scott Weiland!)...AIC is one of my all-time favorite bands...i was floored, yet i wasn't shocked when they announced his death...
Red Baron Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Maybe Elvis...just to give him a more dignified death...Like Suicide or something. He's still alive. He's living somewhere in Texas in an old folks home. That was a Elvis impersonator that died.... okay... enough Bubba Ho-Tep for me right now.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Frank Zappa, no question. He deserves to die from something cooler than cancer.
Murmuring Beast Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Lennon and Harrison for a Beatles final tour. Carl Wilson to get the Beach Boys back together, as well as Dennis.
godthedog Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 from a human standpoint, lennon easily takes it. he'd been done musically since the early 70s, but nobody deserves to die like that. from a "talent left to offer the world" standpoint, hendrix. he was still loaded with energy and ideas, still working on his craft, still going as hard as he could. he still had a LOT left in him, but i don't really have any sympathy for him, as he essentially did it to himself. putting the two criteria together, i'll go with jeff buckley as my final answer. died way too young in a manner that he didn't deserve at all, and he still had a ton of raw talent left to polish; he would have only gotten better.
Boner Kawanger Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Jeff Buckley. I still believe it he hadn't have died, then the music world would be very different. Of course, if he was still alive, I don't know who I would have written my last research paper on.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 (edited) Hendrix. Edit: Joplin as well. Edited June 21, 2004 by Anglesault
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 Cliff Burton. Hey, Metallica might have not shitted out for the last...15 years. Well, he beat me to my answer. Although I did enjoy the black album...everything afterwards though is just horrid. Layne Staley That would be my second choice. Alice in Chains obviously had alot left to offer at the time of Layne's death. Without quoting the rest Cobain would be a good choice if he agreed to not joining Hole and instead just plain left everybody in his musical life behind with the exception of Novacelek(sp?). Nirvana would have worked with Matt Cameron on drums and I blame Dave Ghroel for Pat Smears ever having his face on my TV. To hell with Joplin, she sucks. Crazy bra-burning bitch I hate the Zappas so I'd revive Frank just to watch the tumor kill him again Lennon died when he met Yoko so to hell with him...George Harrison was the man though. He can come back.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 To hell with Joplin, she sucks. Crazy bra-burning bitch . Hey hey hey. Most good musicians were crazy bitches.
1234-5678 Posted June 21, 2004 Report Posted June 21, 2004 To hell with Joplin, she sucks. Crazy bra-burning bitch . I'm not sure if I ever recall her burning her bra............
