LucharesuFan619 Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 I'm writing an article about the current Raven vs. Sabu feud in TNA. It shuld be up in about a week and a half. I need to know, though. Is it true that Sheik trained both of them? Obviously, he trained Sabu, but what about Raven? I thought he was trained by Larry Sharpe and Jake Roberts? Is TNA making up that Sheik trained him, or was Sheik actually involved in his training? Thanks so much in advance. Any help would be much appreciated.
Steviekick Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Raven's official web page, www.theraveneffect.com, gives credit to Larry Sharpe for taking care of his training. He's given credit via storylines to Piper and Roberts, but I think that's more along the lines of once he was in the business they were people who pointed out things to improve his workrate, psychology, etc. Kind of like a mentor. As for the Sheik, I'm not exactly sure if and to what extent he had on Raven's training.

Well, I would think that the Power Plant guys usually had SOME experience before showing up - much like the guys the WWF brought into the Funking Dojo. Then the WCW / WWF trainers work with the abilities the wanna be wrestlers have thus far and teach them to work the distinct style that will actually get them signed by the company. I'd imagine all the guys listed did graduate from there but also honed their skills elsewhere as well.
