Bearer is obviously nowhere near the fucking crypt, that just looks awful. I guess the Dudz are jobbing, and Taker gets to do what they couldn't.

Paul Bearer joins Al Wilson in the great Sportz Entertainment Ring in the sky.

And?

How long has Paul Bearer been on television since WM? That's half rhetorical and half an honest question because I haven't been watching Smackdown for a while. But from what I've read, Bearer hasn't made _any_ impact at all in the past few months. He's not an important character and hasn't been for -what- 7 years? 10?? So what does killing him off do? Send him away AGAIN? Zzzzz. Who fucking cares?

It has value in marking "a change" for the Undertaker, but they half-ass it here by not making Taker uber-evil in his approach. He shouldn't say "I'm sorry... it has to be done." He should say something like "There has to be a sacrifice for the new age..." or something that actually empowers him. "Death" shouldn't be done _at all_ in the WWE, but if it's done they should go balls-out. Here they're wimping out. And they sure-as-shit won't show any of the real consequences that goes along with death. They could go somewhere extremely deep with this -at least, comic-book deep- and they won't. It'll be an afterthought to mark "Bad Undertaker". Something they bring up off-the-cuff. "How could he do that to Paul Bearer, his friend! Damn him! Damn you Undertaker! Why?!" "I, I, I can't believe this Cole. I never thought I'd see the day".

...

"Well, let's head back to the ring..."

Stupid, Stupid WWE.

The video doesn't make much sense. If Paul Bearer has been buried neck-deep in cement.....just how exactly is the Undertaker supposed to save him? Seems to me that Paul is pretty much screwed at that point.

Really-really-really-really-really slow drying cement? That's all I can think of

Didn't Vince say that you would never see anyone get killed in the company a few years back? This is a sign of the end being near.

T-minus 1 year until SD's rating gets so low it warrants a cancelling.

Well I was gonna say we saw Al Wilson die but he died later since he seemed to be ok for the weekend shows..

Wow, this makes about as much sense as the Steve Austin heel turn.

Congratulations, Undertaker. You've milked out your old music's pop and otherwise put crowds to sleep by bastardizing the most reliably over character in the company (no, Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin weren't always over, or able to stay over as both heel and face.) It only started at WrestleMania and couldn't even last until Summerslam.

I hope you're proud!

So, can we now say that Bearer's return to WWE was a major flop? I think bringing him back along with the old school Undertaker just has been totally wasted on Smackdown.

Having Paul Bearer around in 2004 was quite a novelty, too bad nothing more interesting happened.

On a side note, can I assume the local authorities will take care of the Undertaker and press murder charges?

LMAO! THAT IS GOLD!

Eh ... at least we might get a pretty decent Eddie / Taker match out of this. I've been waiting on that for a while.

 That was great.

At the start, Bearer looked like he was having the time of his life in there, then suddenly shifts into "wailing mode".

GOOD thing that I decided to miss this one. Actually, that's a record for me, since this was the first WWE PPV I missed in 4 years....

Did it really look this bad on TV?

Why did no one stop any of this?

Dude, if Lita gives birth to Paul Bearer, it would be the greatest thing ever.

Question: How do they not crack the fuck up while doing this? I know that everyone in the bar last night was laughing at Bearer's "You saved me~!" smile, and it was even funnier considering it was like a floating Paul Bearer head saying it.

Bearer knew he was being killed off so he gave some of the worst and cheesy acting seen in some time in pro-wrestling.

So Smackdown must know it's being killed, too?
