Guest wrestling365 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 From today's Wrestling365 Email Newsletter Source: http://lists.topica.com/lists/W365/ The Smackdown crew ran last night in Winston-Salem, NC headlined by Eddie Guerrero and The Undertaker over JBL and The Dudley Boyz. Other matches saw John Cena over Booker T, Mark Jindrak over Scotty 2 Hotty, RVD over Rene Dupree, Luther Reigns over Charlie Haas, Mordecai over Hardcore Holly, Kenzo Suzuki over Billy Gunn, Rey Mysterio, Spike Dudley and Funaki over Chavo Guerrero, Jamie Noble and Shannon Moore, and Torrie Wilson won a bikini contest. Sable missed the house show last night but I don't know why. Her contract is up very soon and its being said that she's becoming increasingly difficult to work with. There are no plans to re-sign her. The Smackdown tour continues tonight taping TV at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, NC. If any readers are heading to the show I'm looking for spoilers and off camera notes to [email protected]. Paul Bearer might not be as dead as we all think. WWE rep Gary Davis sent an email to 1Wrestling.com today claiming that "no one was murdered" at The Great American Bash and there will be an update on Paul Bearer and his condition this Thursday on Smackdown. The email was in response to claims that the company had violated its own policy with regards to the portrayal of death in storylines. Does this mean that Al Wilson is still alive too? Just to clarify on the situation, William Moody (a/k/a Paul Bearer) still has two years left on his WWE contract. He wrote on a well known message board last night: "I was concerned when I first heard the initial plans to kill PB. However, after several days, I understood it more and had no objections. I feel that there was much left for PB to do. My plans include working for the company until my current contract ends. I would rather not speculate in what capacity that might be. But, I ain't going anywhere." The early impressions of Kevin Fertig (Mordecai) in the Smackdown locker room continue to be mixed. Fertig is well liked and is especially "tight" with The Undertaker who isn't the easiest person to become acquainted with. One notable criticism though is that he comes across too nervous on camera and is often "worried about f--ing up" in the ring. Mordecai is regarded as a work in progress and the WWE creative team has high hopes for the character in the long-term. WWE newbie Kenzo Suzuki appears to already have his cards marked. He isn't making many friends in the locker room and is said to keep to himself most of the time. One source told me today that he doesn't think Kenzo will be around for long as "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s--t." Ouch! As previously reported, Vince McMahon is off the road all this week after being hospitalized a few days ago with abdominal pains. He has an infection called Diverticulitis and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics. His condition isn't thought to be serious. Shane and Stephanie McMahon have taken over the bulk of his workload until he is well enough to return to work. There was a brief management-talent meeting prior to RAW last night in which the whole situation was explained to the wrestlers, not that most didn't already know. The estimated attendance for RAW last night at the Richmond Coliseum was around 5,000 with nose-bleed levels tarped off. There was one dark match which saw The Hurricane defeat WWE developmental worker Carly Colon. During the show and the opening tag team match, the arena fire alarm went off for a good five minutes. After a minute or so, the crowd chanted "Y2J" to beat the sound of the alarm then erupted with cheers when it finally went off. Nothing else really to note. Thanks to John Massey and Bob Elliott for reports in Richmond. Matt Hardy isn't wrestling at the moment due to a knee injury. He has strained ligaments which he is trying to rehab and thus avoid surgery for as long as possible. There have been talks of doing an injury angle where Kane would "take him out" but that is just one option being discussed at the moment. Hardy is working a reduced house show schedule for the time being to give him a chance to mend. Test suffered a minor knock over the weekend. I believe he pinched a nerve in his neck or something to that effect. He is expected back on the road this weekend unless his doctor says otherwise. The Rock, along with Jessica Simpson and Drew Barrymoore, is scheduled to appear on the 7/2 edition of Regis and Kelly. Variety is reporting that Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment -- Eric Bischoff's production company that he co-owns with Missy Hyatt's former boytoy Jason Hervey -- have partnered with Scott Sternberg Prods. and hotel heir Rick Hilton to produce a new reality television show called "777." The show would follow seven high rollers who each agree to put up $1 million in the hope of winning it all. Over the course of seven days, the contestants live together in a Las Vegas suite and compete in a variety of gaming sessions. The ultimate winner takes home the entire $7 million prize fund. The William Morris Agency will be taking the show to various networks this week. The main stumbling block to Brock Lesnar getting any kind of NFL deal might just be his mouth. ESPN.com has an article up on Lesnar titled 'The Next Big Flop?' in which he is quoted as saying he hates homosexuals amongst other controversial comments. My advice to Lesnar would be to cut the wrestling persona if he wants to be taken seriously. Thanks to Jeff Pecaro and other readers for passing along this link: http://tinyurl.com/2jeos Rey Mysterio will be throwing out first pitch at the San Diego Padres-Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game on Wednesday night in San Diego. My buddy Tim Stein at WrestleTalk Radio has two great audio interviews up with Ted DiBiase and Sid Vicious at www.wrestletalkradio.com. They talked about their respective careers as well as more recent times with Ted's ministry. The Ring of Honor / RF (Rob Feinstein) Video split became official yesterday afternoon. ROH announced that Cary Silkin is President and 100% owner of the company. From this point forward the company will do business as Ring of Honor Wrestling Inc. Both sides have signed a confidentiality agreement forbidding the other to discuss the terms of the split. After all the dishonesty and propaganda certain ROH workers have spun during the last few weeks its nice to finally see an end to this whole mess. Tracy Brooks is Wrestling365's Diva of the Day. Click here for your eye candy: http://tinyurl.com/2hzvb Diamond Dallas Page has reportedly split up with his wife and former Nitro Girl Kimberly. As I reported last month Steve Austin has been spending time at DDP's home in Los Angeles. Both are shopping around for acting gigs but haven't been offered anything that interests them as yet. . . Toy Biz of the Marvel Entertainment group has signed a deal with TNA Wrestling to produce toys for the company. -------------------

Firstly, kill all the obnoxious VISIT MY SITE AND LOOK AT TEH NEWSLETTER bits. Cite some damn sources, and try to keep it WWE related. Otherwise, throw it in the General Wrestling forum. Guest wrestling365 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 Dirty bastard spamming his site/newsletter Didn't mean to offend anyone. Vyce 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 WWE newbie Kenzo Suzuki appears to already have his cards marked. He isn't making many friends in the locker room and is said to keep to himself most of the time. You know....not that I really want the guy to stick around, but I have to defend him on this one point. Doesn't Kenzo speak like.......little to NO English?! Surrounded by guys who don't speak my language. I'd keep to myself as well. Diamond Dallas Page has reportedly split up with his wife and former Nitro Girl Kimberly. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 Paul Bearer has two years left on his contract? Get ready for that Mordecai w/ Paul Vs Undertaker feud which will take up most of Smackdown in the fall of 2004. Paul is EXACTLY what Mordecai needs. The guy can't speak. He has the absolute wrong voice for his gimmick- it's just not menacing. Have Paul come back and speak, and have Moredcai do the in-rign work.
Precious Roy 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 If I were Kenzo I'd make friends with Funaki as soon as possible, he's the only guy that I know for sure is bi-lingual in English and Japanese. And if he's smart he won't let the language barrier get in the way of interacting with the rest of the locker room, becuase he's not exactly lighting the world on fire with his wrestling skills. As for Mordecai, glad to hear he already found his way to SD's resident meal ticket /sarcasm. Guess you don't have to be a veteran like Flair, Bradshaw or Regal to know where the bread is buttered..... I hope Sable's ho ass is kicked to the curb, she brings NOTHING to SD and NOBODY cares about seeing her naked in Playboy anymore, that's soooo 6 years ago Too bad about DDP and Kim, they always seemed like a happy couple, and Kim always seemed genuine, well, about as genuine as a gold digger can be..... Bischoff's reality show actually sounds pretty damn cool..... Let's all hope for a Kane/Hardy injury angle, with Kane slated to feud with HBK delaying the payoff with Hardy to a point in time where he has a chance in hell to go over is probably the best thing for Matt right now. And ESPN better stop dissing Brock Lesnar, he will stop Dan Patrick on the street and FIGHT HIM~! He will make his way down to the projects, find Stuart Scott and FIGHT HIM~! He will go to Fenway park, beat up the ticket takers and venders, invade Peter Gammons' luxery box and ~FIGHT HIM!

thecitythesky 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 * - Eric Bischoff is partnering with Jason Hervey, Scott Sternberg Productions, and Rick Hilton on a new reality TV show called "777." The show will be about seven rich guys who each will put up $1 million in a winner take all gambling competition that will take place in Las Vegas. The seven people will live together in a suite during the show. The William Morris Agency will start offering the show to networks this week. Eric Bischoff is expected to miss RAW next week, likely due to this new show. well... that was taken verbatim from the other "News and Notes" thread with information from PWInsider and 411. - Test injured his neck over the weekend at the house shows. so is this. and the Matt Hardy injury was briefly mentioned in this weeks Observer. which has been up since the weekend. ..... otherwise. the Paul Bearer stuff has its own thread already... and has for quite some time. as does the SD! house show report and Vince being sick. and the RF/RoH split information along with the TNA action figures piece both have their own respective discussions and their repspective folders. admittedly, i will give you that Traci Brooks being Wrestling365's diva of the day... that's all you. granted, try as i might, i just don't care. decent?
