Art Sandusky Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Obviously, I hope Hillary is the choice, since that's the final nail in the coffin. I'm confused. I thought you wanted to bring in more troops? Huh? I want Hillary to be the VP choice because it ensures Kerry's defeat. That's it. I thought you weren't voting for Bush in November. Something change your mind?
Rob E Dangerously Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Wait, if I know my Conservative webboards, if he's not voting for Bush, he's indirectly voting to elect Kerry. This 'reverse psychology' tactic is interesting too.
The Czech Republic Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I will never vote for a ticket that includes Hillary Clinton, not because she's a woman, but because she's an evil bitch. "This shouldn't be called Ground Zero. It should be called Ground Hero." gkjvfhkghuvkjnfslgnfbietgklvjczvbkjd
Jingus Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I agree completely. Kerry/Clinton is political suicide, Edwards is still the best candidate. Heh, the words "Kerry/Clinton" just gave me an eeeeeeeevil idea: Are former Presidents barred by law from running for Vice President? Just imagine it: BILL FOR VP. (Which might be about the only way Kerry would have a shot in hell at winning this election.)
Dr. Tom Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I thought you weren't voting for Bush in November. Something change your mind? Nope. I'm not going to vote for Bush (for more reasons than before), but I sure as fuck don't want Kerry to win.
Dr. Tom Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Are former Presidents barred by law from running for Vice President? Only those who are ineligible to be President should the situation arise. As a two-termer, Clinton is ineligible. If he were a one-termer, he could be the VP candidate.

Jimmy Carter would be, though. -=Mike
Guest MikeSC Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 Kerry - Carter? Good lord, I'd slit my wrists. Well, I think it's one of the signs of the Apocalypse. -=Mike
Rob E Dangerously Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 BUT, he couldn't win his own state, NC, primary. That, to me, signals a REAL problem with his ability to connect with voters. http://www.uselectionatlas.org/USPRESIDENT...4&fips=37&pty=1 Oh really?

Precious Roy Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 LOL, he actually won NC by a landslide And realistically, there's nobody out there who's as appealing and balances Kerry as well as Edwards, unless maybe he could get Bush Sr.......
Guest Crazy Dan Posted July 2, 2004 Report Posted July 2, 2004 I think out of the main choices mentioned here, Edwards would be my choice. He brings charisma and likeability to the Democratic ticket, which would counteract Kerry's aloofness. And Edwards could carry a Southern State or two for Kerry, which could help greatly. I think Hitlary would be a poor choice, and I doubt Drudge really knows what he is talking about here, I think he is throwing out a name, hoping to God that he is right. So if this becomes a reality, he can brag about getting his second major news breaking story correct. But this race is headed towards another dog fight. And as mentioned, yeah Kerry might not have made huge gains on Bush, but he hasn't lost any major ground either. And remember, Bush spent about 60 million trying to drag Kerry through the mud, and that didn't have the effect I am sure he indended, as Kerry is still only a % point or two behind. So this is still long ways from being over. And that is why getting someone who can pull those valuable electoral college points over to his side is very vital. And on a lighter note, I am bummed that Bill Clinton can't run as the VP, as he mentioned on SNL, he would put the Vice back in Vice President.
