Guest The Last Free Voice Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 Well, it's a pretty big show tonight, and there's alot going on. Discuss it here.
Astro101 Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 The SHOULD give it to Truth, but they probably won't. Or...results on next IMPACT!
Guest Coffey Posted June 30, 2004 Report Posted June 30, 2004 You know, eventually TNAW is going to have to put the fucking title on Raven. Seriously, how much longer am I going to have to wait? The Truth is already a two-time champion...and could become a three-time, yet Raven hasn't won that ass yet, and he single-handedly was the reason that I tuned in the for a couple of months. It just seems like something always comes up. First the contract shit, then CM Punk, now Sabu. What about Raven? Also, we all really should get into the habit of calling the company TNAW now as opposed to TNA. Possibly rename the thread title, and even folder title? Afterall, that's their official name now.
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Im actually looking forward to this show, the only match in theory that sounds really crappy is Abyss vs Watts
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I hope they announce a GAULTLET FOR THE GOLD! That could into Shamrock (who won the first one) returning.

I agree with you on all counts. And what's with you and "that ass"?
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Sabu and Dutt wins, ok match nothing special. Sabu posed as raven in the end of the match
HandofFate Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 How did Sabu and Dutt do? Any blown spots? Did they gel like they did on Impact!?
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 they did good, nothing too bad, nothing to be blown away. Decent match
Guest Coffey Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I agree with you on all counts. And what's with you and "that ass"? I don't know. Never really noticed.
Guest Donners Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 As if we were going to have yet another title change so soon. It would be ridiculous to give it back to Killings now.
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Did anybody else notice Jarret mustache looked messed up....
Guest Donners Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Russo said he was forcing Jarrett to defend his title sooner than 30 days after his last defense because he'd have to wrestle next week. Jarrett, who was leaving the ring, re-entered the ring and asked who his opponent would be. Russo announced that his opponent would be all three members of 3 Live Krew. Russo said the mattch would be fought gauntlet style with all three members of the Elite Guard. Russo told them to think about what an opportunity they were being handed. Jarrett said he liked the odds, four-against-three. Russo said not so fast. He said there was someone they had worked with before who would be the fourth member. He revealed the eighth man would be Ken Shamrock, a former "TNA Heavyweight Champ" (using that term instead of NWA World Hvt. Champion. Shamrock then stepped out onto the stage. The Elite Guard went after Shamrock, but Shamrock easily disposed off them. Jarrett bailed out into the crowd as 3 Live Krew continued to beat on the Elite Guard. Hmm...
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 D-Lo and Monty to a no contest, they both brawled on the crowd, match sucked.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 AhhHHH!!! Get out of my way!!! ::::taps:::: She's in the basement!!!!!!!!
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Kenny and Siaki wins.... I have nothing more to say about that match, we all knew it was gonna suck but i didnt know it was gonna suck so badly
Guest Donners Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Wonder if Kash is getting some backlash from the office here...
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 wow, that was an awesome match as AJ pins Red, wow.....
ragingfear79 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 man thats one of the best matches I've seen in TNA in a while
Silence Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 The blonde guy from The Naturals reminds me of Punk without the tattoos Chase Stevens is the blonde guy. Doesn't Andy Douglas also look almost like a miniature Chris Harris? The X-Division main-event was good, with a lot of crazy spots keeping the match fast-paced.
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Good show. It sure looked like D-Lo got a nasty concussion during that match.
HandofFate Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 Who was in the X-Division match and was it for anything special like a title shot or what?
Magus Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 the show had a good match or two, but the booking still sucks all kinds of ass. TNA's direction (or lack thereof) is so much like WCW that its just not funny anymore. its getting sad, and eventually someone will have to wake up and change it. let's look at the fuck ups not only on this show, but in how TNA promoted it: -they didn't have Rodman on. i didn't want to see him in the first place, but you shouldn't say something will happen when you know it won't. bait-and-switches don't make fans happy, especially ones involving quasi-celebrities. -they didn't tell us if Jeff Hardy had signed or not. no one cares if TNA is thinking about it or not, just tell us you signed him and that's that. advertising big announcements and big stars and then failing to provide them doesn't win fans. -yet another bait-and-switch with Kash not showing up. i don't care if he's got heat, Kash was announced for this show, and he shoulda been on! if you say Jesus Christ is going to be on next week's show, you better be damn sure that he'll be there. no more bait-and-switches! -another long promo involving Russo and Jarrett in their neverending fued. Jeff got his belt back, big fucking surprise. -D'Lo/Monte went to a no contest, and i am sick and tired of seeing nonfinishes. why doesn't Mantell just come out and hold up a sign that says "don't pay attention, i'm jerking you off"? -they left Watts/Goldy and the NYC fueds open to continue, which baffles me as they are the two worst angles they have going. -its obvious that they have no idea where to go booking-wise. Russo stated in his interview that TNA just doesn't have the time to book further than TWO WEEKS into the future. maybe they're not talented or creative enough, maybe. like i said, this show had some good matches, but angle and character-wise, its all missing. until they decide to get their act together, they'll just be a bush league WCW.
HandofFate Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 -they didn't have Rodman on. i didn't want to see him in the first place, but you shouldn't say something will happen when you know it won't. bait-and-switches don't make fans happy, especially ones involving quasi-celebrities. Was Rodman showing up actually on the Preview that TNA sends out or was that just net rumors? I don't remember the preview saying that Rodman was gonna be there. If it did say that, then I stand corrected -they didn't tell us if Jeff Hardy had signed or not. no one cares if TNA is thinking about it or not, just tell us you signed him and that's that. advertising big announcements and big stars and then failing to provide them doesn't win fans. They said that they would have an update. If they gave any kind of an update (i.e., saying he is in negotiations) then they are right in saying that they would have an update. You are just assuming that the update is that they have signed him.
slimm44 Posted July 1, 2004 Report Posted July 1, 2004 I was at the show and it wasn't as good as last week's but the end made up for it all. As the show went off the air, everyone was fighting around the ring. I was closer to the D'Lo/Monty Brown fight so I didn't know what was going on in the ring area. What ended up happening was the heels got beat ten AMW, Triple X, Sabin, Red, and AJ all celebrated TNA and the fans cheered for about 7 minutes. Then they started toi leave AJ in the ring and the crowd cheered for AJ who thanked everyone and then went out shaking everyones hand. Great way to end the show. Hopefully it will get better next week.
