XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU JULY 08, 2004 10:09:35 ET XXXXX

CAN'T KEEP HANDS OFF EACH OTHER

Hugs, kisses to the cheek, affectionate touching of the face, caressing of the back, grabbing of the arm, fingers to the neck, rubbing of the knees...

John Kerry and John Edwards can't keep their hands off each other!

In the past 48 hours, "candidate handling" has become the top buzz on the trail.

News photographers have been going wild with photos of the two Johns.

"I've been covering Washington and politics for 30 years. I can say I've never seen this much touching between two men, publicly," e-mailed one wire photographer.

When asked if the Johns are acting out a cynical focus group series of poses -- perhaps to show warmth to the chilly Bush/Cheney -- a Kerry spokesperson explained: "I think we're just seeing genuine affection between them."

But the spokesperson added, "I hope we do not see them wearing matching outfits when they ride bikes this weekend."

The link has an Edwards/Kerry collage that's almost embarassing. Half the shots look like parody, but guess who decided to make it legitimate news?

But, of course, this is still

I agree about the Clinton hair. The guy on the left also looks a little too "bulky" to be Kerry, imo, too, but it might just be the suit.

And if we can make fun of Bush's misspeaks, then the Kerry/Edwards public displays of affection are fair game. It's all good. Besides, I'm sure there's some focus group the Dems have that say they want more touch-feely candidates.

I pray to God Bush/Cheney don't follow suit...

Because we all know what happens when the dick touches the bush.

Man, that one never gets old.

Y'know, there's a good joke to be had somewhere with Kerry and Edwards too, calling them "The Johns". I just can't think of one right now.

Eh, male prostitution isn't big enough to get a joke out of that one.

And you think there shopping for new demo's? :)

Good lord.

I've seen less homosexual poses in gay pride parades.

And this one!

Edwards is only about 6 inches away from grabbing Kerry's ass.

Ok Let's all get pissed because Someone got pics of the "Savior of America" John Kerry. But when President Bush falls off a god damn bike, lets make it a news event so we can all laugh! Besides when Kerry was asked about how he felt about the pictures, He stated "As a christian I believe Homosexuals are an abomination, but gay marriage is ok." (BTW he didn't really say that..It's called sarcasm people)

Now I know I'm gonna get lynched for this post, but you know what....I don't care! I'm sick to death of Liberals screamin "Bush got us nto this war over false pretenses." OK Fine! There are no WMD's! But my question is where was all this righteous talk when President Clinton did the same damn thing during his presidency. Oh we all forget that.

Jokes about Kerry? Well, it's just Drudge being childish.

JOTW, keeping alive the double standard.

Who's getting pissed? As long as no-ones taking this as anything more than a joke I think it's funny as hell.

It's like Bush looking through the binoculars with the caps on, I do randomly silly stuff like that all the time, so I don't see it as any kind of major flaw, but it was still funny.

Clinton bombed Iraq the night before his impeachment trial got under way. When people screamed wag the dog he said. " No...I have selected targets, based on the intelligence that we have recieved saying there where weapons of mass destruction there. What King is saying is there was nobody bitching about there not being weapons back then. So why the hell should we do so with W. It's hypocritical. Thats all hes pointing out

The reason why King is so defensive lately is becuase he got some heat on other parts of the board. Politically though most people here are open minded king

So, this is just an elaborate joke about Kerry?

does this extend to the article too?

It's almost comic trying to see Kerry leech off some of Edwards' charisma.

-=Mike

...To anybody undecided, I'll just mention that Whoopi Goldberg is totally behind John Kerry. Do YOU want to side with an untalented hack?

Or would you rather side with convicted criminal and ruiner of boxing, Don King (Bush supporter)?

Well, in his defense, King has produced things people actually WANT to see...

Yeah, it's hard to beat "The Thrilla in Manila". Although there's numerous boxers that King screwed over too. And Tyson/Seldon. ;)

although, one more Whoopi thing. The weightwatcher ads from her confused me, but I guess I wasn't paying that much attention to Whoopi anyways.

Whoopi still has "Sister Act 2", "Jumping Jack Flash", and that "Hollywood Squares" remake to atone for.

Although, in theory, if there was a Liberal media, Whoopi would be in better movies. ;)

I'd imagine that "Get Whoopi work" is low on their agenda.

Just a few pegs under "Promote the United Nations", "Bash all Conservatives", "Fluoridite the drinking water", and "Praying to John Kerry"

;)
