84. The Sting/Vampiro feud, which culminated with an obvious stuntman being set on fire.

85. I'll lump a bunch into one; booking nonsensical, unexplained, and dropped matches and angles. For example, the DNA Test match where the workers (nor the audience) was aware it was First Blood, the Daffney/Crowbar love angle that went nowhere, Pamela Paulshock getting hit on my Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf, the women's match on that Australian show, etc.

86. Keeping Nitro at three hours for too long. By the time 1999 came along, they had absolutely no way to fill that shit up.

87. Don't think that Goldberg turning heel was mentioned.

88. Kronik main eventing Halloween Havoc 2000.

89) Not taking advantage of the Flair/Dougles feud. If made long term, that feud would've revitalized WCW and the Millionaires/New Blood feud. :stupid:

Since nobody mentioned it , I will:

102) Booking Sting in crappy feuds for most of 99 and 00.

I agree with not pushing Norman Smiley! Screamin Norman rules!

Here's a few I could think of:

-The concept of the Dynamic Dudes

-Split of the Hollywood Blonds

-Dropping Austin

-Dropping Vader

-Not capitalizing on Shane Douglas's abilities in his final run in WCW, could've been next World Champion

-Ripping off ECW, see Tony's various 2000 ppv apperances

-Mark Madden with no shirt on

-Scott Hudson with no shirt on

-Ric Flair hand cuffed to top rope in his underwear and trying to get a part in the Rundown as the monkey who humped the Rock's face

-LEX LUGER!!!

Not sure if anyones mentioned this, but to me its one of the biggest reasons WCW died:

Goldberg.

Don't get me wrong, I was a huge fan of the guy. But for someone who was the franchise of the company, he didn't get treated like it. I swear Goldberg only main evented like four ppvs between his title win and the death of the company. Meanwhile in WWF, their megastar Austin was the focus of the whole company. They blew it big time with Goldberg.

EDIT:

-Not capitalizing on Shane Douglas's abilities in his final run in WCW, could've been next World Champion

Thats insane. Douglas was awful im sorry.

Hey BHK, here you go...

The Monday before STARRCADE 1999...yes...STARRCADE, the "biggest show of the milennium", mind you...

*** WCW Monday Nitro (Live)

12-13-99, New Orleans, Louisiana

- Features Jim Duggan being knocked out in the ring after the lights went out during a promo.  Chris Kanyon arrived in a Porshe, dressed up like a "Hollywood" star.  Rhonda Singh interrupted a Nitro Girls dance routine, and fought off the girls when they attacked.  Paul Orndorff is fired for training Midnight, but first is forced to wrestle Creative Control later.

1.  The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Iaukea (with Paisley) pinned The Maestro (with Symphony) with a roll-up and handful of tights in 1:55.  After the match, Jeff Jarrett ran to the ring and attacked both men, and challenged Chris Benoit to a "bunkhouse brawl".

2.  Spice pinned Madusa after Madusa and Evan Karagias (attempting to stop the fight) cracked heads.  Afterwards, Madusa gave Evan a German Suplex.

3.  "Buff" Bagwell pinned Curt Hennig after special referee Roddy Piper decked Hennig and made a quick count.

4.  Jeff Jarrett pinned Chris Benoit in a "bunkhouse brawl" after Benoit fell face-first off a ladder that Jarrett whipped the interfering Dustin Rhodes into.

5.  Meng fought Tank Abbott to a double-countout.

6.  Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, & Asya (with Shane Douglas) defeated Harlem Heat & Midnight when Malenko pinned Stevie Ray with a roll-up as Booker T was tending to Midnight, who hurt her knee doing a leapfrog.  After the match, Ray argued with Booker.

7.  WCW Hardcore Champion Norman Smiley fought Jerry Flynn to a no-contest in a "Block" match (a designated "no holds barred" area in the backstage) when Tank Abbott and Meng began fighting in the "block" area and Smiley ran away.

8.  Sid Vicious (with Seth, a young, handicapped fan) pinned Steve Williams (with Oklahoma) after a powerbomb.  Vampiro chased Oklahoma into the ring during the bout.  Afterwards, Vicious gave Oklahoma a chokeslam, but was attacked by The Outsider.  Kevin Nash delivered a powerbomb to Vicious.

9.  Dallas Page & Sting defeated David Flair & The Total Package when Sting pinned Package after Flair attacked Luger from behind with a crowbar, and Elizabeth put Sting on top of Luger for the win.  Sting and Page fought during the match, as well.

10.  Chris Kanyon (with his agent and women) pinned Bam Bam Bigelow after delivering "That's a Wrap" (previously the "Flatliner").

11.  Lash LeRoux (with Disco Inferno) defeated Big Vito (with Johnny the Bull) in a "Bodybag Match" by stuffing Vito in a bodybag after delivering the "Whiplash".  After the match, Johnny the Bull hit Lash with a chain, and Vito executed an implant DDT.  They took Lash out of the arena in the bodybag.

12.  Creative Control defeated Paul Orndorff by reverse decision disqualification after Orndorff initially scored the pin on Gerald following a piledriver, after Arn Anderson & Larry Zbyszko interfered on Orndorff's behalf.  Referee Mark Johnson reversed the decision.

13.  Roddy Piper defeated Curt Hennig via countout in a "Steel Chair Match" when Hennig ran to the back to escape.

14.  Kevin Nash & WCW U.S. Champion Scott Hall defeated WCW World Tag Team Champions Bill Goldberg & Bret Hart to win the titles when Nash pinned Hart after clipping his injured knee just as Goldberg had executed the "Jackhammer" on Hall.

ORDER OUR PPV TO GET YOUR WRESTLING FIX

One positive about this show? The Evolution of SID continues...

- Skyscraper

- Four Horsemen

- "Justice"-seeker

- Crazy man

- Scissor-wielding maniac

- Bodyguard

- WWE Champ

- Pants crapper

- Savage's goon

- "Streak"-attempter

and now...Community serviceman and role model of the handicapped.

Just for your knowledge:

-Dr. Death Steve Williams had made enemies out of The Misifts, Vampiro, all WCW luchadores, and Berlyn.

-Sid Vicious had enemies in Nash, Hall, Goldberg, and an entire locker room of jobbers he had squashed.

So Sid brings a fan with down syndrome to the ring with him to face Williams. BRILLIANT. Because there SURELY wouldn't be a run-in there...:)

***Bonus 104***

Not pushing Meng. Serriously if you think back at all during Nitro or Thunder the man was over huge with the Tonkin Death Grip.

They did push Meng.

He defeated (cleanly) Sting and Lex Luger in late 1999.

Russo brought him in to face Goldberg in a "Loser Leaves WCW" match. He jobbed. Quickly. Bye bye, heat, hello "Hardcore Division" a few months later.

105) Having Lance Storm play heel at New Blood Rising, in Canada and at the height of his popularity.

106) Not letting D-X into the building during the infamous tank incident. That featurette on Confidential was right, if they'd let D-X into the building then WCW either would have gotten mega ratings from it and/or Raw would have been disrupted to cover D-X invading WCW.

He won the belt in early July, and his PPV status was:

Bash At Beach in July: Beat Curt Hennig in a sub-4 minute match in the semi-final spot, while Hogan/Rodman beat Page/Malone in 25 minutes.

Hog Wild in August: Won a pointless sub-8 minute battle royal in the semi-final spot that also involved The Giant, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig, Konnan, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Scott Norton, and Sting. The only one Goldberg didn't toss over was Nash, who eliminated himself. Not only did this piss away a lot of the lure for any future World title matches with Goldberg against the rest, they also gave away the first ever jackhammer on The Giant in this match. The main event was Page and Leno beating Hogan and Bischoff in 15 minutes.

Fall Brawl in September: Did not wrestle, and I don't even think he appeared. The main event was that truly horrible 'War Games' match where nobody submitted or surrendered. Hogan was in that too.

Halloween Havoc in October: Beat DDP in the main event, but the Hogan v Warrior match got the lions share of the hype beforehand

World War III in November: Did not wrestle, and might not have even appeared here either.

Starrcade in December: Dropped the belt to Big Lazy.

And you can add in numerous midcard Nitro matches against virtual jobbers, where he won clean, and a few main events, where he got few clean wins over any major names.

Yeah, they really booked him like a major star(!)
