Guest The Last Free Voice Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Well, talk about the show here. And yes, for the two of you who care, I will get the rush done this week, come hell, highwater, malfunctioning VCR's or sickness. I promise.
geniusMoment Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 I am going to watch for the first time in a while. The 6 sided cage match intrigues me, as does the Sabu/Raven rivalry. As an old ECW mark it reminds me of good times. I am also interested in seeing the type of reaction Jeff Hardy gets.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 Damn, I forgot about Hardy. Not good. lol.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 XXX vs. Team Mexico opening; Daniels and Negro were a little sloppy, but Skipper and Agulila so far have been pretty good.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 (edited) Big Vito d. Pat Kenney in a Sicillian Street Fight after interference from Trinity. After the match, Don Harris and Big Vito go face-to-face, and Vito stops attacking Kenney as a result. NYC & Young vs. Posey, Shark Boy, and D-Ray's up next. Gilbertti's supposedly in Hawaii, and Young said he'd quit if he lost. Edited July 22, 2004 by Phoenix Fury Legdrop
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 (edited) D-Ray3000 and Mike Posey both covered David Young to score the pinfall. After the match, David Young begs Vince Russo for a chance, saying that if he can't beat Mike Posey one-on-one next week, he'll leave forever. Abyss vs. Sabu next. Before the match, Goldilocks issues a challenge for anyone out there to put up their contracts in matches against her men...and D-Ray3000 accepted it. I don't know if he's wrestling Alex Shelley tonight, or Abyss on Impact, or what. By the way, my signal just went out. Edited July 22, 2004 by Phoenix Fury Legdrop
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 My feed just came back on, as Jerry Lynn rolled up Kazarian to win the tag match (Sabin replaced Styles). After the match, AJ Styles challenged Kazarian and Shane to a Ultimate X match.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Raven just challenged Sabu for a match at Impact.
Silence Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 What the hell's with my Dish Network card? I was watching the first hour of TNA tonight, and then sometime during the Lynn/Sabin vs. Shane/Kazarian match, the TV suddenly goes to a blue screen and it hasn't come back on yet. God damn it, my bad luck just continues.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 (edited) My Dish went out during Sabu/Abyss and came back on right at the end of Sabin & Lynn vs. Frankie & Shane. Hardy "signed" with TNA, but Monty Brown interrupts before Jeff can sign what was in Dusty's folder: a World Title shot. The segment ends with Hardy clearing house of Jeff Jarrett, who interrupted Monty Brown's interruption. Monty Brown then Pounces Hardy, but Hardy makes a comeback on Brown. But, Jarrett makes Jeff eat guitar and gets chased out of the ring by security. Edited July 22, 2004 by Phoenix Fury Legdrop
Guest Donners Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 So this means Monte gets the title shot? The rumours were true...
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Kash sat down, and basically repeated the story going around the Internet about him, about AJ Styles and "a few others" getting special treatment, including making fun of AJ and AMW's bad promo skills. Confirmed for next week: David Young vs. Mike Posey Shark Boy & D-Ray vs. Shelley & Abyss Ultimate X: Styles vs. Shane vs. Kazarian Jeff Hardy vs. Monty Brown: Winner Becomes No. 1 Contender
TheBigSwigg Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Wow, I'm so excited to see Hardy vs Monty Brown. Look at my excitement
Silence Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 My Dish went out during Sabu/Abyss and came back on right at the end of Sabin & Lynn vs. Frankie & Shane. My TV still has the blue screen on my Dish card. I hope this doesn't happen every Wednesday.
Silence Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Get a refund I've still been using an illegal Dish card because otherwise I'd have to waste $40 a month. This situation still sucks, though.
Guest Donners Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 I love it when people who steal things actually complain about what they get.
Silence Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 I love it when people who steal things actually complain about what they get. So I should tell my dad to get Dish network legally just so we won't have money to buy other things? Yeah, good idea. Not that we're poor, but we're not rich, either. Besides, my dad isn't even the one who fixes the card. He takes it to another guy so the card can be fixed whenever it zaps out.
Guest Donners Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Or you could just do without, like other people without money have to do. I love TNA, but I simply can't afford to buy their shows regularly online. I'm sure as hell not going to steal them, because I can't stand people claiming they are fans of a show and then not supporting it financially. So if it's a particularly good show, I make the effort to save up and get it. If I can't, then I just miss out. That's life.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 The Naturals d. AMW in the Six Sides of Steel. Pretty good match, good heat, and all four men bled. A crapload of interference at the end after Harris and Stevens fell off of the cage and to the floor, as Team Canada, XXX, and 3LK all brawled outside of the ring. The match ended after the Natural Disaster and two chairshots to Storm, as Harris was shut outside the cage.

So if I'm watching TNA without having to buy it, then I'm a hypocritical fan who doesn't even deserve to be watching PPV's at all? You're trying to get me in jail even though I have nothing to do with fixing the card, aren't you?
Guest Black Tiger Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 <---------------------- should have kept his mouth shut
Silence Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 <---------------------- should have kept his mouth shut Don't worry. It seems like I'm the real bad guy in this topic.
Guest Donners Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Let's join the dots, shall we? - Pay Per Views cost money. - More importantly, they cost me money - which I don't have a lot of. - TNA relies on Pay Per Views for a significant part of their revenue, and an indication of their fanbase. - You are not paying any money to see their PPV. I don't think it's too difficult to work out what the problem is there. Hell, I wouldn't have particularly cared, because theft is a sad fact of life. The issue I have is that you then have the temerity to bitch about something you've stolen.
Astro101 Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Yea, don't bitch about what you steal. Like me, I don't have free ppvs on my receiver, but do I complain about not seeing TNA? Well I was until I saw the backlash.
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Back to the show....... Bad show - very good main event in my opinion.
Guest Donners Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 It sounds like an interesting show to me. Abyss/Sabu sounds decent, the Kash shoot was interesting, at least Raven and Hardy finally appeared. It certainly does all come down to the ME though.
slimm44 Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Tongihts show was pretty good live. Once again Jeff Hardy got the loudest pop ever in the Asylum. The cage match was excellent, the entire crowd was on their feet for the match, which is a first for the North side of the arena. Not as good as last years match between Triple X and AMW but it was great. After the show, The Naturals got up after a few minutes and left, however they did get a standing ovation, all four of them were applauded. Next week should be good too, Jeff Hardy gets to wrestle, hopefully it is a clean finish but with Jarrett around you never know. Ultimate X 4 should be real good
Magus Posted July 22, 2004 Report Posted July 22, 2004 Jarrett just HAD to make Hardy his bitch, didn't he? maybe Hardy will actually get his revenge, or maybe this'll just be another Jeff Jarrett burial angle. the show sounds good, but that part stuck out to me.
